Hoover did an excellent job with a kitchen repair from water damage. Brent and the entire Hoover team were very communicative and quick to respond. They were very helpful the entire process with our insurance adjuster.

The repairs included drywall, finish carpentry work, subfloor repairs, and replacing and refinishing hardwood floors. They did a great job with the repairs and we are very pleased.

Hoover construction did a great job reaping the damage from a leak at my renter house. They are easy to get in touch with and response quickly. Pricing and schedule was reasonable and they finished the work on budget and on schedule. Highly recommend!!

The guys were very kind as well as professional. My hardwood floor install looks great! Everything was done in a timely manner and communication was great. Would definitely recommend.

We had a house fire and Hoover General Contractors was recommended by USAA. Our split-level 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house was close to a total loss and our entire home had to be repaired including a den, laundry room and 2 car garage. The only thing that didn't need to be totally redone was most of the brick exterior, however it needed a paint job.

After the fire occured you could actually see the sky inside our home -- not to mention EVERYTHING was black and covered in soot. The attic, framing and roof were all damaged not to mention electrical lines, gas lines, etc.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. The project manager, Tony Pitsinos, has been nothing short of amazing. He has gone above and beyond for us and we are SO happy with the outcome of our home, though this has been a sad and stressful ordeal. Our home looks gorgeous.

If you are considering Hoover General Contracting, I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! In fact, we will be using them in the future. Ask for Tony. He is top notch and these guys know what they are doing. Thank you, Hoover General Contracting and Tony!!!

Brent was the contractor that came to fix the joist under my house that had been cut through by a plumber. He was very helpful and professional. His work passed the VA inspection as being done correctly and timely. I highly recommend this contracting company.

MY project was extremely complex and required a full renovation of the entire interior of our home. This included replacing all the floors, insulation, drywall, and ceilings, as well as installing new cabinets. At first, I hired another contractor, but unfortunately, they provided no clear timeline, made little to no effort to keep us updated, and the project dragged on without progress.
That’s when I decided to hire Hover General Contractors—and from the very beginning, I could tell the difference. Hover was professional, reliable, and transparent in every aspect of the work. When i had home damages from a insurance claim i called multiple contractors in the area every single one didnt get back to me or showed up late to assess the workEXCEPT the great folks at Hoover and thats why i chose to originally work with them. Alex managed my project and he did a amazing job of not only communicating but also answering every question i had honestly if he didnt know the answer he found it same day and got back to me. With all the stress that comes with dealing with home damages Hoover did great at making their end of the process easy. I will absolutely be working with them in the future on other home projects.

I had my drive way extended on both sides. They did all the paperwork to turn into my HOA, they did a same day estimate when I called them. The crew was great, friendly able to answer my questions throughout the day. Never saw the guys take a break really hard workers! I will be using them again for other projects for sure!

Gab and his crew did an outstanding job for me. I gave him a deposit Monday afternoon and when I came home Tuesday afternoon the job was complete, and was outstanding. I had several bids way to high, but it was a small job, Gab bid an under what I thought the job was worth and I can’t say enough about how good it looks. Gabe and his crew remodeled my bathroom and they did an amazing job! They were very professional and made sure they addressed every bit of detail. I love the fact that his crew is skilled in all areas and they were able to do the electric work, the plumbing, as well as the tile insulation of the bathtub and all other work the remodel included. They continuously updated my husband and I throughout out the process to make sure we were pleased with the work before moving forward. His crew was very professional. They also work late several nights to make sure they got the job done and they continue to take their time to make sure they address every detail. I cannot put emphasis on how much that means to me! I first met Jeff Hipp as a Home Inspector, and he’s provided services for many of my Real Estate clients for several years now and I trust his knowledge of construction and building codes. I also recommend Jeff for home remodels and new construction. It’s also helpful that he has a background in commercial construction. As a real estate professional it’s important to have people like Jeff that I can trust to take care of my clients.

I hired Jeff Hipp (Covenant Home Builders) to finish building my house. By Jeff’s own estimate, the house was 85% complete and he promised me he would finish it in eight weeks. Cabinets and floors were installed, lighting and appliances were on site ready to be installed.

My eight week job turned into ten months and very little of it was done without some kind of screw up.
His crews repeatedly left the house unlocked when it had already been a target for theft and burglary. They used my tools without asking or bothering to put them back. They used my brand new furniture as their personal break area. They used the bathrooms when there was no water. They managed to soil, scratch or otherwise damage almost every surface in the place.
There were no supply chain delays. I know this because I personally purchased many of the parts and supplies: backsplash tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, doorbell, gas logs…on top of what I paid him.

Check the arithmetic on any kind of accounting he gives you and double check that he hasn’t hired a second sub to finish a job you already paid a first sub to do. Make sure he didn’t charge you the flat rate he quoted, then itemize the costs and add them on again. He tried to charge me for multiple jobs two or three different ways, charged me for jobs that weren’t done, and overcharged for quoted jobs, ie, he quoted $350 for a job then tried to charge me $1200.
Seven months in, I asked him to sign a new contract agreeing to finish in 30 days or cut me a check for $7500. He signed it with no objection, assuring me that yes, he could be finished in thirty days. (Eight months past the original deadline.) He signed it with his usual promises then did nothing for ten days. On day eleven, he had his guys do a couple of jobs—cosmetic fixes, not anything that would actually get me closer to moving in. The house still lacked the same six inspections it needed on day one.
Did he make the thirty day deadline he swore blind was both reasonable and doable?
Of course he didn’t. And in the end, his original eight weeks took forty-one weeks and five days.
Jeff Hipp spent many tens of thousands of dollars of my money that he cannot account for in any honest way. And he continually reminded me he was doing me a favor because he felt so bad for me and that he wasn’t making any money on my job. Tell that to the three vacations and the shiny new dump truck.

I’ve done a few remodels/build outs in the last 20 years so I’m not a complete novice. I was looking for a contractor that was knowledgeable, reliable and priced fairly for our market. Jeff and his workers were awesome to work with. If there was a problem he throughly explained the circumstances and gave me options. And I really appreciate the attention to detail…it’s the things I didn’t think about that Jeff thought about that in the end made a big difference in how the space turned out. These guys more than met my expectations and I was really pleased with the remodel and the price. I’ll post pics once I get all my artwork hung.
