Moore installed an insert in my old inefficient fireplace. WOW! Everything about this experience and outcome was flawless!!! The end result is above my expectations I absolutely LOVE my new fireplace insert!

The install person Jerry, was very concerned to take care that nothing of mine was damaged, that the insert was installed and inspected in a timely manner, he respected my privacy, he didn't try to teach everything about how to install an insert😀

I totally and completely, without a doubt recommend Moore Plumbing and Heating for installing inserts!

We've had another positive experience with Moore Heating. After installation of a garage heating element, we noticed a distinct reverberation and offensively loud noise. Tony Henrich arranged for vibration-deadening pads to be installed, essentially resolving our problem. We would never us a different service than Moore.

Moore Heating installed a new furnace for us 12 years ago and has performed all the regular maintenance since then. They just installed a new hot water heater and garage heater. Excellent work and really friendly phone staff and technicians!! Highly recommended them.

We had Moore Heating come to look at our gas fireplace not working correctly. The tech wasn't as familiar with diagnosing the problem as we hoped and emailed Moore Heating, The owner contacted me right away and came out and got us repaired ....and was able to determine it was a wall switch not the fireplace. Who knew? He did by his extensive experience. So grateful....I am not mechanically gifted...at all...and really appreciate Moore Heating's care to make things right as well as integrity. Not many companies service gas fireplaces so extra grateful that they do!

Bought my place a few years ago and the old gas hot water heater was on its last leg. Brown water made taking a bath impossible and dirty. Getting a new one is an investment. Some businesses don’t even call back or take weeks. From the initial call, estimate, and installation Moore Heating was a great choice.

*UPDATE*
The owner of Moore Heating called me personally this morning and was very sincere on making things right. The quality of work performed was outstanding. The installer did go over on his quoted time, and only billed for 3.5 hours of work. Ballard post was installed, but, in my opinion would not keep a car from still running into the heater. Would recommend this company.

EDIT / UPDATE: I am updating my rating and review on the issue below. Moore did contact us to try and straighten things out. They did contact the manufacturer and apparently the manufacturer now says that they will continue to replace parts, but not the whole water heater. Moore is going to go ahead and have that part on hand so that we do not have to wait for it to be shipped if it goes out again. They also are not going to charge us for any labor associated with fixing this part for the next 5 years. While I would prefer the model be replaced, I feel that this is the best resolution short of that.

We had Moore replace both our furnace and water heater about 3-4 years ago. We have loved our furnace (which is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 star) but our water heater has been nothing but a headache and Moore has compounded our frustration. Our previous water heater had never had any problems, but it was getting close to 20 years old so we decided to replace it when we upgraded to a new more efficient furnace. Within a month our new water heater failed, and while the part and service were under warranty, we had to live without hot water for 5 days while the part was shipped from the manufacturer back East. Within a year the same part failed again. Part is under warranty, but the shipping and labor charge is not. Again without hot water for several days, paid shipping and paid Moore to install failed part. The same part now fails approximately yearly. We suspect the igniter on this model of water heater is a faulty design (they no longer sell this one) and we suggested that the water heater be replaced with a different model since the same issue keeps happening and we are inconvenienced for multiple days every time. Moore did not agree. Moore was also unwilling to work with the manufacturer to try and get us an extra one of these parts so that the next time it failed we could replace it without the long wait. We eventually talked directly to the manufacturer and they indicated that they could replace the water heater if the local technician agreed and put in the proper order for it. Moore would not do this. And of course, Moore gets paid for labor every time this happens. We could have bought another new water heater by now with the labor charges. This summer it happened again and their technician discovered that it might have been caused by a faulty installation to begin with (they installed it) and then Moore had the audacity to bill us over $500 for the labor time spent troubleshooting the issue. I am extremely frustrated, unhappy with their service, and will not use them again. I will be transferring my annual furnace service to another company unless they rectify this issue. When you buy a new device from a company and it continues to fail repeatedly in the same way, to your cost and inconvenience, then I don't think it is unreasonable to expect them to replace the device with a comparable model - or at least to work with us so that we don't continue to pay money over and over for a known issue.

Over the years I've purchased a furnace, had duct cleaning, and recently had a gas fireplace insert installed. Moore Heating is the best. Very friendly and professional, quick to provide a quote, fair pricing and excellent work done by an experienced crew. I have been extremely satisfied with this outstanding company.

I have used this business for my home and business for more than 20 years. Moore heating is always professional and knowledgeable. They they have always been available in any situation, whether it be urgent, or just to answer a quick question. Their billing is always accurate and fair.
I recently had a plumbing issue. Between plumbers,and contractors, and electricians, Rob at Moore Heating was the only one that was able to figure it out. They are without question the best in town!

Their office staff is very helpful and we've used Moore for multiple things. The technicians are friendly and quick and I've been pleased with our experience here.

Updated 1/25: they've been particularly helpful recently, Matt--their on call tech--really saved us when the pipes froze.

We cannot say enough good things about Moore Heating or its employees! We had them replace & upgrade both our old furnace & hot water heater. Not only did they have the best price out of three estimates, their work was outstanding! Seriously, not only was everything up and working as designed when they finished, there was not a single screw or piece of ANYTHING left for us to clean up after the installation! In addition, literally every employee we met or talked with went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. There was Tony our sales rep who stayed in contact with us through the entire process, answering any questions, then there was Shelly who worked with our schedule & made sure everything happened on time & as planned, Veronica who not only answered the phone but also made me feel that she cared about what we might be needing, Rob a Moore manager who reached out to us to make sure everything was going well, and then Raheem the technician that actually did the installation who my husband describes as the hardest working guy he’s ever seen! Yep, we could not be happier and would highly recommend Moore Heating!

They easily had a 5K sale and instead scheduled a service that would fix our issues instead. We had requested an estimate to have a tankless system put in. The estimator came out, looked at our system and immediately called a senior tech. A couple of minutes later we had a service call scheduled. They system we had was fine and just needed different settings. I have also used Moore in the past and always had a good experience.

Updating from a previous review. This team is SUPER AWESOME!! I had some issues with my blower fan on my furnace. I had one of their competitors (Diamond) come out and check what was going on with it. They didn't clean the fan, recommended that we replace the entire unit, and said they couldn't get parts for at least two weeks. Quoted me over 1300$ for parts not including labor. I got a hold of Moore heating for a second quote. They dropped everything, got me the parts I needed and installed it that afternoon, cleaned my entire furnace, all over under half of the competitions quote. Chris the technician was extremely professional and explained everything he was doing and found wrong. Gary on the managment side was AWESOME and found all my parts same day in Alaska so my family wouldn't 1) go without heat or 2) have the fan motor burn up on them and start a fire. Great team, great company, will always use from now on. Thanks again guys! You rule

Fantastic company to work with! They performed a full boiler and water heater install flawlessly. The copper pipe work is like a work of art. 6/5 stars in my book.

I am writing about the service I had today at my home for duct cleaning. Dan Rudd, my serviceman was absolutely professional from start to finish. He called me 20 minutes before arriving and went to work right away. He spent about 3 hours and we hit it off and he went above and beyond for me. He was engaging and respectful and even removed a old sump pump *at my request* because the last contractor left it there and a huge mess to boot! Dan was vacuuming the floors and even got a co worker to bring a new air filter! For a such a young man he was very mature! I lost so much faith in the younger generation and he restored that in me. Thank you Dan! Thank you Moore Heating for a wonderful unexpected experience! I highly recommend. 5 Stars! Hey Moore give that boy a raise!

Today I noticed the heat inside my house had drastically gotten much colder over a period of a couple hours. With it being a holiday weekend, I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to get an appointment the same day. Fortunately, Gary was able to get me on the schedule and I had a plumber at my home within 2 hours. Chris was able to triage the situation and get to work ASAP. His van was well stocked and he had all the parts necessary to get our furnace up and running within a few hours. There were several parts that needed to be replaced but he remained positive and professional the entire time. He was kind and explained what was happening along the way.
We have been customers of Moore Heating for over 27 years now and I’ve never been disappointed by their services. I highly recommend Moore to both my friends and neighbors.
This year’s Thanksgiving…I am very thankful for a nice warm house and hot water.

I got recommended by my father in law, to get our fireplace serviced and ended up calling around 4:50pm (10 minutes before they closed) I had the pleasure of speaking with Veronica and she was amazing! They were pretty backed up and ended up being able to get us in within a month. She was VERY helpful and VERY professional. 10/10 recommend this place, thank you guys so much!

My heater went out and Moore Heating was incredible to work with! They got a technician out to get a quote immediately and were able to schedule it after hours given I had no heat. The quote was reasonable and their team went through the specs one by one with me so I understood fully what I was purchasing.
The team had great customer service, great communication, were very timely and they allow you to make payments with zero interest. Really loved working with them. Highly highly recommend Moore Heating!

Moore heating is an awful company. They have been extremely unprofessional and incredibly rude at addressing my concerns with the billing due to overcharging. I have never, in my entire life experienced this amount of unprofessionalism from any other company. Our heating has gone out every year and every year, they have had to come back multiple different times to “fix” something. We had only gone back to this company because they have been servicing us for a few years and are familiar with our system. I have had by far, the WORST experience with this company. I have never left a bad review until I had to deal with them.

I have had an awful experience with Moore heating company. I had two technicians come in to “fix” the issue that we are having with our boiler resulting in no heat and no hot water. We had paid an insane amount to get parts replaced and the issue “fixed” but we are still having the same issues with heating and they are going to charge us again to come back and “fix” what was supposed to be fixed in the first place. It’s absolutely ridiculous how much this company overcharges. This has been extremely frustrating to deal with especially since it’s winter and we have no heat. On top of everything else, their customer service is awful. I have been in contact with a few people and they have just been incredibly rude and not understanding. This is absolutely ridiculous that we are getting charged to have technicians come back over and over again because the problem hasn’t been resolved when it should have been the first time. This is the third technician getting sent out to fix these issues. It’s insanely foul that they are charging us like this.

Moore Heating has THE best knowledgable techs! We live in Girdwood and they are always on time for the service calls, call to give you a heads up on the way, extremely thorough in their work and have great attention to detail. We had a fan motor seize in our gas fireplace and a fan wall switch issue. The tech, Giuliano, diagnosed the problem, making the corrections as quickly and safely as possible. Not that it is expected, but Giuliano was also very polite, diligent and explained as he went in finding the quickest and best solutions to our problem. He cleaned up the space and maximized our time, all while being cost conscious. Giuliano shared he was trained at AvTech and has a lot of on-the-job experience which gives us great confidence in hiring them for future jobs and issues. I am Licensed in Real Estate Sales and will definitely recommend Moore Heating for future jobs in Girdwood and the Greater Anchorage Area. I do not have any affiliation with Moore Heating other than being a very satisfied and impressed customer. Giuliano definitely went above and beyond with the fireplace corrections and we appreciate his professional opinion.

I can’t begin to say enough about the folks at Moore Heating!! I’ve had two systems installed over the past 3 years. A furnace system and boiler system. Both experiences have been easy with amazing customer support and priced competitively. They show up when expected and are so professional (and clean) it makes me wish they did more than HVAC. The second job had a slight “glitch” and one of the owners of the company was there to evaluate and solve the concern the NEXT day. He went above and beyond what other businesses may have done.
