I had recently purchased another home at the end of 2024, and looking into the return air ducts showed that the previous owner likely hadn't had the ducts cleaned since the property was built. I reached out to the Vent Doctor and quickly had an appointment scheduled to get my duct work tidied up.

Jay and his associate were fantastic at their trade, and very respectful of my house. They kept me updated throughout the process, warned me of what noises I would be hearing, and what they were associated with.

Initially we all thought that it would be a slam dunk, as the home is fairly small at 1,200 SF. Despite it's small size, a few surprises showed themselves through the process. Jay honored his quoted cost, despite the process taking longer than originally planned. He and his associate began shortly after noon, and were packed up and headed out before 5 PM.

Not only was the process smooth and effective, but Jay is a fantastic human being who is personable and down to earth. I feel like he represents the business as a true Alaskan, who believes in customer service and a quality product being turned over with 100% disclosure and honesty.

I will be sending all of my referrals to Vent Doctor's of Alaska, and any future duct cleaning that I might be in need of will be handled by Jay and his team.

Jay did an awesome job cleaning and pointed out some areas of the house that needed fixing, making it safer and more efficient. I would recommend him to anyone that needs vents or furnace ducts cleaned.

Jay and his team were great. Our furnace stopped due to a clogged air port last winter. We were focused on the lint collected on the intake vents. Jay didn’t observe a dust buildup on any edges and recommended doing just the intakes and the dryer vent as well. They did a superb job cleaning. Jay went above and beyond and repaired a broken crawl space vent I had mentioned to him. I highly recommend Jay and his team!

They were able to schedule me quickly for a call out to check my vent. The man who came was very friendly and was able to take a look at my vent. Unfortunately my dryer set up is out of code (vinyl) so they weren’t able to do much but they were incredibly helpful with figuring out the next steps. 100% recommended!

Not your typical review… we tried to hire Vent Doctors to clean the HVAC ducts and after our consultation Jay actually talked us out of it! The man is a wealth of knowledge and expertise and had my best interests at heart. The fact that he wasn’t just chasing the money and actually saved me hundred of dollars was very refreshing. He took the time to educate me about things that were beneficial for the health of my heating system. I’d recommend Vent Doctors to everyone as a solid, honest, local, longstanding company!

Just had Marlon stop by to inspect my chimney. This gentleman was one of a kind! Super nice, professional, and very informative. Not a very well run business. They agreed to perform a service but neglected to get it done and were unresponsive to our calls and emails. Their apparent "storefront" looked vacant or no longer operating.

Marlon did such an excellent job! He was professional, kind and very thorough. He took the time to answer questions about our wood stove and was careful when cleaning it not to get soot anywhere. We will definitely use J&K and Marlon again and would recommend their services.

I had a great experience with J&K PowerVac. The inspector came out to look at our fireplace and was incredibly honest and professional. After checking everything thoroughly, he let me know the chimney didn’t need cleaning and was safe to use. He even took the time to show me how to properly operate the fireplace and damper.

What really impressed me was that he didn’t charge anything for the visit, even though he came all the way out to my home. It’s rare to find that level of integrity and customer service these days. I’ll absolutely be using them for any future chimney needs and highly recommend them!

This is what Arctic Refrigeration company has done for Ice machine cleanup. They spent about 2 hours cleaning the machine & charged $635. My ice machine is fairly new & had no problems. Only wanted maintenance cleanup. And there were a lot of dust buildup still in place all over inside the machine. When I send pictures of Dusts buildup inside the machine, Mr. Brandt (Service Manager) told me that they only cleanup inside the parts. Are you kidding me? The reason we pay for this service is to get rid of all the dust buildup inside the machine. And why customers have to pay your truck fee of $50 that is equipped with your tools. This is crazy!!
