Our home recently flooded due to a clogged main sewer line, and because it was the weekend, most companies were overwhelmed with emergency calls. We were relieved when Michael from Rock Solid Plumbing was able to come out.

When he arrived, he briefly checked the drain in our laundry room, heard gurgling, and said he couldn’t clear it from inside. I showed him where to access the line outside. At that point, our laundry room was actively flooding and water had already spread into other areas of the home.

He spent about 10–15 minutes outside, then came back and asked me to run the shower and flush the toilet a few times. After that, he told me everything was clear and that the clog had been near the beginning of the line. I questioned whether it was fully resolved because it seemed too quick, but he reassured me it was fixed and requested payment.

Unfortunately, within two hours, our home flooded again—this time much worse. After normal water use, the system backed up completely.

We then called Alaska Sewer & Drain. Their technician spent about four hours working on the issue and found over 30 feet of frozen blockage in the line before successfully clearing it and stopping the flooding.

Since then, we’ve tried multiple times to contact Rock Solid Plumbing regarding a refund, but have not received a response.

This was a very stressful and costly experience, and we are extremely disappointed with the initial service and lack of follow-up.

Michael is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and delivered excellent customer service from start to finish.

We had multiple things that needed service or repair and Michael went above and beyond in doing so. Not only were repairs made, I was also educated in how things worked.

We had an issue with our shower draining slowly, we called Rock Solid plumbing and requested Michael because he had been to the home before and service was wonderful. We were surprised and thankful to get service the same day. Michael came and he did not disappoint. He took careful of everything quickly, he was professional, friendly and informative. You don't get all of that with a lot of service people these days, we are so thankful for Michael.

I have used Rock Solid a few times and been very happy everytime. They are honest and get the job done quick! I had them install a boiler for me last year and the one they recommended is very fuel efficient!

A very nice guy named John came¹and fixed a hot water pipe. He was extremely nice and informative about everything. He was also extremely polite and professional explaining every thing. I will be highly recommending him to anyone that needs a plumper.

Michael came to fix our leaky bathtub spout, unfortunately he was unable to do so, no fault of his! He thoroughly explained the reason and gave us recommendations about what we can do. On time, honest and thorough. Good plumbers are hard to find I'd recommend Michael FOR SURE.

Rock Solid has saved the day again for me. Furnace went out while I was at work during the coldest time of the year. Was able to set up a day for them to give me an estimate and then a week later they installed a new furnace and garage heater(decided to go ahead and change it so I wouldn’t have to at a later date since it is 20yrs old). I had my water heater changed 6 months ago by them and the technician even told me then that the furnace was outdated and would be changing it soon. Well 6 months later, here I am. Jason and Devin did a great job on the installation. I will continue to always use these guys for any and all of my future needs.

Zach returned my call quickly as the on call technician on a Saturday night. Sadly, they do not service in our location (outside of Anchorage) but he was kind enough to help me stop the leak and explain next steps by assessing over FaceTime. That was above and beyond. If you have the opportunity to use their services, I’d highly recommend!

Rock Solid was a pleasure to work with. They were very knowledgeable and completed a thorough free inspection for us back in June 2024. They explained what part was causing the issue (the downstairs switch) and were able to get the part replaced the same day. We wiill definitely recommend them to all my friends and family.
