Highly recommend Heat Source! Service people have been excellent in helping to diagnose our old boiler and the installation techs, Hayden and Sagun knocked it out of the park getting the old one out and the new one in quickly before the mountains of laundry and dirty dishes could smother us all.

Boiler died on thanksgiving morning, the on call repairman came and looked at the unit and red tagged my boiler. The following monday they sent out a salesman to give a quote for the repair or new unit.

The salesman was very nice and prompt. of the people who gave me a quote from the valley he was knowledgeable. Unfortunately, instead of either repairing the unit or just replacing it, they said they wanted to replace most of the piping and the boiler.

They promptly sent me a quote for $15,000. It wasn't the highest in the valley by a long shot but it was also double the lowest. They probably do good work, but the first tech that came out and red tagged it should have seen and known that the parts that were broken were replacable.

Instead they said I need a whole new system and should just throw away a $6,300 unit instead of repairing it. Even if they thought the piping situation the previous owner installed should be redone, there is no reason to not just give me a quote with the needed plumbing changes and the cost of repair (parts $500 and labor) of the existing boiler as its a top of the lime unit. Although it isn't brand new.

I ended up repairing/rebuilding my existing unit myself since quotes to get it running again ranged from $7-25k from the "boiler people" around the valley to get the heat back on. Cost about $500 in parts in the end and several hours of my time researching things on the internet since I had zero knowledge of floor heat or boilers.

If you are just want the heat back on, then expect an upsell. I don't blame them. Every boiler company in the valley said my $6k unit was unrepairable. It was, it just needed a new steel plate that I had trijet make for 200$, a couple gaskets, a new igniter, and some wiring repair. I could have bought a new burner plate from the manufacturer for $350 but shipping would have taken a week and I didnt have the time so I got Trijet to make it for me. It ended up being $100 cheaper anyway and they had it knocked out in a day.

I a simple home owners can figure out it's repairable, do the work in a couple hours, and yet the people who specialize in boilers can't? They knew, they just wanted to upsell a new system. Inside hindsight I never should have called them. I spent $350 for the call out to just turn off the gas and put a red tag on it while wasting my time. In the end I would have shut off the gas anyway to do the repairs. Hell the repairman didn't even turn off the breaker to the boiler when he red tagged it. I did that before I fixed it 😆.

Today was a very good experience. Two well experienced gentlemen replaced my furnace from Heat Source Mechanical. They knew there job inside and out. Very knowledgeable in all aspects of the job at hand. I could not have been happier with their professional Skills. Thank you very much.

Jesse and Ian showed up on time. My issue is a failed boiler that I jury-rigged to keep operating: it's in an outbuilding running heating lines through a concrete slab 40 feet by 60 feet, the temperature is almost zero degrees outside and I don't have glycol in this system. Jesse recognized the problem with my IBC boiler right away, said the power connection to the fan assembly is a common failure, and he doesn't want to do maintenance because there's a chance it won't fire up again. His recommendation was to let it run while they order a replacement fan assembly and power harness. I really appreciate Jesse's knowledge and forthrightness about not fiddling with the boiler since it's running; if it fails and can't be jury-rigged into operation until the replacement parts arrive my floor lines could freeze. On that point, I'm going to have Heat Source add the required amount of glycol propylene (?) to the system so a future failure in winter (when else?) won't freeze the lines. Heat Source Wasilla is the best, top marks for knowledgeable technicians, responsiveness, and courteous folks on the phones; all in all a well manged business.

Joseph was great, communication was great, got text messages letting me know he was on his way. Joseph seemed to address the issue and get to the source with good knowledge of the system.

The appointment had a very reasonable scheduling time considering it was during a cold spell and the holidays! Technician (Joseph) solved the problem right way. I'm very pleased with their service.

Called after hours ... Technician was here within an hour. Trey was our technician, he went through everything. Cost was less than I expected. VERY pleased.

HeatSource has been great to us and we’ve used them for years now. They’ve replaced heating systems, maintained our heating and while on vacation we had an issue with a pressure tank leak and they responded promptly. Love the work by both Joe and Jess.

I was out of town and the system let me know my furnace was not heating the house. We called and they sent a technician right away. The technician fixed the problem and stayed until the furnace was up and running. I’m ver appreciative of the quick response and great service.

The service tech was polite and professional and they got us scheduled within the week for a whining noise. I was disappointed in paying the diagnostic fee and service fee and not having an answer. Said we could pay for more time to see if they could figure it out, which gave a sales pitch feeling. But overall, average service.

Very fast, efficient, great quality and pricing. The communication was also excellent. Received, texts, emails and even calls from their technician! Highly recommended!!

Joe was nice and mostly explained things. We thought price was quite high and not what we expected. Not sure of what cost so much. We have used HeatSource for probably 20 years, so we’re comfortable with them. Four stars mainly due to high price.

During the December 2025 wind storms and cold snap I was having a constant fight with my Rinnai heaters. I called Heat Source Mechanical Inc and they sent Jesse out to fix my problem, he was great(see previous review).
I scheduled a follow on maintenance check immediately after Jesse left.
Joe and Ian arrived today (21 January 2026) and performed a fast and efficient maintenance check. I was so impressed with them I became a regular maintenance plan customer. The maintenance plan gives you priority on calls and extends the after hours dispatch response. It DOESN'T cost an arm and a leg and I really like the security of knowing that HeatSource Mechanical Inc. has my back 24hrs a day. I am a super happy customer Thanks HeatSource team!!!!

Heat Source has been running like crazy because of the power outages out here in the valley and yet they made time to make it to my house on the same day I called! I really appreciate Denis Meyers professionalism! He’s diagnosed the problem and will get it fixed as soon as the parts store is open. Thank you so much!

Heat Source had two technicians at our house within an hour after I called them this morning (-3 degrees F). Jesse and Ian promptly resolved our lack of heat problem and recommended further long-term corrective action. Great service.

We had an emergency boiler issue that they were able to respond to within 4 hrs during a snow storm. The emergency run and diagnosis was reasonably priced and they were able to fix it within a few hours.

The crew that was sent out to replace my garage heater was top notch. They were very quick and very professional. Whatever they get paid they should be doubled in pay.

I was really disappointed with the service provided by the heat tech who came to my house. I waited a whole week for a technician, and when he finally showed up, he was unprepared without the necessary tools for the job. While he was there, he couldn’t work independently and frequently reached out with questions while working. Ultimately, the problem wasn't resolved and no follow-up solution was provided. I will definitely not be using this company again, and I am not satisfied with technician Jesse Krey's performance.

Heat Source has been the company we’ve trusted with all heat related issues for the past 10+ years. They just installed a new heating unit for my parents this week and a new boiler for our home just last winter.

Before the new units were installed the old ones lasted well past their life expectancy due in part to excellent maintenance also provided by Heat Source. They have competitive pricing and the kindness and trustworthiness of their techs is unparalleled.
