This is the worst company I have ever delt with they came looked at dishwasher said they need to order parts which was fine but then the parts came in and I haven't been able to get them back out since they keep making appointments then on the day they are scheduled they cancel and reschedule for a week down the road second appointment was scheduled but canceled again. Bad customer service would not recommend.

Bernard arrived on time prepared with the tools and replacement parts to put our ice maker in working order again. He is a very knowledgeable repairman and technician.

This service was canceled without a repair person showing up. Reason was I am leaving Saturday morning for the rest of the summer and he said if he didn't have the part I might need then it would take about 10 days to get it. This is an ice maker problem and I don't care to come home next fall and have the unit sitting in pieces all summer and then maybe even find out the part got lost. The ice maker is the only thing not working and can use the refrigerator without it so the possible 'need parts not in stock' was going to be a problem so I cancelled and will tackle it in the fall. Thank you

John was my technician to perform a maintenance check on my water softener and he checked the hardness of my water. Everything Checked out OK! This was included in my service agreement so there was no charge for this annual check up. John was knowledgeable and polite. Glad he is part of your service crew, I will ask for him next year.

Unable to find a 6x8 control board. Sears appliance repair should be avoided. Technicians at the mercy of chatgpt

The Technician, when he finally came, was great, both times! It took them 2 weeks and 5 cancelations (all them), to come out the first time; 0 communication on why it took so long or why they had to reschedule, but the AI bot to reschedule part was kind of neat. Had to wait for the part, almost 4 weeks. Got the part, confirmed the appointment as having the part, only to have them cancel because their records showed i didn't have the part. Had to push it out 3 more days.
Forgot to mention, they called during the first week and signed me up for their home warranty with a promise of 50% off (up to $150) of the repair, which apparently never made it into their system, so I got to pay full price... yay! -
It takes forever to get them to come out. And when they finally get here, the tech says to me “well that’s weird. It’s not supposed to do that.” (And he wasn’t joking). To which my reply “no crap that’s why I called you. He was clueless said “oh if it happens again, call us back.” So I did, same guy comes out, same kind of reactions and I had to google what it could possibly be and show him. He took a screenshot of my phone. he literally just stood there, staring at my washing machine like it was gonna tell him what was wrong. He finally called someone they. Are up with a game plan and then they had to order all the parts, which is fine and understandable, but they had them all shipped to our house and didn’t tell us. So stuff just started showing up one day. We had no idea how many boxes to look for. And then didn’t verify everything was here before coming for repairs.
For several days before our scheduled repair/return date I kept getting notifications reminding me my window was the upcoming Monday from 8 to 12. I had to go out of town so my husband took a day off to be here. They called 15 minutes before our original window was set to expire and set a new window 1-3 and then they don’t even show up 2:48 PM. Which caused him to have to reschedule a 5pm appointment
They did the repair all the while, having attitude and condescending tones with my husband. For instance, when the guy asked if it was making a funny noise before, since the bearings were going out, my husband replied that he doesn’t remember the guy says well you must not do laundry. Unnecessary comments just do the repair.
Then to top it off, they finish the repair and leave every single old piece that they replaced and the boxes in our home, 3 large boxes full of crap that we’re gonna have to pay somebody to take or we’re gonna have to pay because we don’t know how to properly dispose of some of the stuff since we’re not ” Experts”.
The only reason they’ll do any work on my appliances again is because our warranty company seems to want to use them. If it was up to us we would never have them touch our stuff.
And icing on top of the cake is the repairman smelled of horrible BO. -
John, from Sears Home Services visited our home and turned a noisy, 5 year old refrigerator to one that is now quiet as a mouse. The problem was ice buildup around the condenser fan. No parts needed to be replaced. John was knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and gave me confidence that Sears has my back. I'm very thankful! 👍

Extremely Disappointed with Technician Visit and Service
I am extremely disappointed with the technician visit today. I received no call or update as promised in the text message—no notice that he was on his way. He simply showed up without warning, which was already frustrating.
What was worse, though, was how he treated me once he arrived. Rather than listening to the issue with my washer, he acted as if I didn’t know how to use my own machine—one I’ve had and used for years. His demeanor was dismissive, and he made me feel like I was imagining the problem instead of actually helping to resolve it. I felt completely disrespected and talked down to in my own home.
I was genuinely hopeful today would bring a solution, but instead I was left upset, discouraged, and still without a working washer. I also wasted an entire day waiting for this appointment that went nowhere.
I’m now being told a different technician from another location will be sent next week, and I can only hope they approach the situation with the professionalism and respect that was entirely missing today.
This experience has been beyond frustrating, and I felt it was important to share how poorly this visit was handled. -
I am very dissatisfied. The tech Bernard showed up. To supposedly fix my ge profile space maker xl1800. He came In looked at the microwave and was out of my house in less than 5 minutes on MLK day. He said the control panel was blown and that I would need a new one and they don’t make them no more since it’s a 20 year old microwave. I asked him was it the fuse he denied it and said no the control panel is shorted out and somebody would contact me about my options then left. I was charged 100 usd by home warranty company. Reluctantly almost 3 weeks later, we made a selection on a new microwave. They told us it still wouldn’t be here for another 2 weeks. So to entertain myself I opened the vent and took the control panel out and tested the 2 fuses with a multimeter on the microwave. The hvt fuse and the main line fuse. The main line fuse was bad the hvt fuse was good. I ordered the ge fuse on Amazon. The first one they sent was bad I tested it with a multimeter. I sent that back and they sent another 1 this fuse worked. I put it in my microwave and the thing came on. Microwaved 2 meals tonight. So now I am upset that this is the level of technicians you have employed a 16 dollar part with rush shipping could have saved me buying a replacement upgraded microwave that has not even arrived yet.
Sears should reimburse me for the fuse and the $100 I spent having a tech come out.
Horrible service I rate this no stars a negative.
In my research I did see an article saying if the mainline fuse keeps blowing to check the door sensors. So Did the tech do that, nope? The fuse has not blown tonight. But if it does blow then like it said I’ll check the door sensors. At least I can microwave some food now until till my new one arrives and they set it up. -
Very knowledgeable and super helpful. Explained exactly what the issue was and how it was going to be repaired. And was quick and efficient. Also had him clean out the dryer lint and it was at a discount rate for already being on a service call. Had no idea that there was another place lint builds up besides the lint trap and hose. Was a good thing he did it to it was pretty full!! Great service
