Shaun was on-time and did a great job! We had an old system that he was able to analyze and advise on the steps to upgrade. He recommended what would be the best value and efficient for our home. Will call North Wind Mechanical the next time we need any HVAC service.

With such a big purchase, I did my homework and compared Northwind to some of the other contractors in the valley. Not only was their team helpful and timely, but the pricing was more competitive then any other company I had checked with for a better unit. Their staff arrived on time, answered all my questions and were able to install my unit the next day! Far surpassed what I expected, they made the experience easy for me and my family!

They installed 6 new Trane units at our custom house around 18 months ago. One of the units was for an unfinished portion of the house. We recently started remodeling that room which is away from the rest of the house in its own zone. When we go to use it for the first time, it didn't produce cold air. We had kept the A/C off in this room since it was unfinished and not affecting the rest of the house. We had it checked by another A/C company and they said the compressor was bad. The unit was under warranty but the labor is only covered for a year. We spoke with them probably 5 times explaining we hadn't used the unit, but they wouldn't budge on helping us with the labor.

And when all of this was going on, another unit in our house that we did use, quit working. It had always been loader than our other units, but we thought it was new, and didn't worry about it. That compressor went out too.
So either Trane quality sucks now, or something else is going on.
Regardless, with these units being under warranty, I was still billed $4,400 labor from another company to replace the two compressors.

A year ago when I was doing business with them I had them replace two units at my business. They have worked fine.

Bottom line Is I did around 90K of AC business with them within that past 18 months, and they were stone cold when we asked them to help with the labor on the unit that didn't work that never got used. And we would have paid them to fix the other unit. They couldn't even help with the labor.

They said they are only responsible up to one year for labor costs.

So buyer beware. We did a lot of business with them, and they didn't care, and won't care with your issues unless they legally have to. I'm a business owner, and with all the work I gave them, I would have helped with the unit that never worked. Whether I was lying or not.

Keith was very thorough and communicated the status of our systems very clearly. He gave recommendations for improvements as well.

My technician Keith showed up promptly and performed service on my air conditioning unit. He went above & beyond explaining the issues, calling for warranty information, contacting his office, finding prices-essentially answering every question I had for him. I trusted the honesty and up-front transparency he displayed while he was here and I really appreciated that! No running and hiding out in his truck to write up an outrageous estimate like all the others. I would definitely recommend Keith for honest advice and service of your HVAC. Top notch guy!

Called Around the Sun for a second opinion on work recommended by another HVAC company. I am so thankful I did! The Techs for this company are not paid based on sales and therefore they can be honest and transparent regarding the condition of your unit and work that needs to be done. Keith was our tech and he was great. He did not try to sell me anything and took time to explain everything that he saw and recommended. Around the Sun saved me $2000. I would highly recommend this company and I fully trust their work.

This is the 2nd year in a row that I've used Around the Sun Heating and Cooling, and they did not disappoint. Though I needed no repairs, I was happy knowing that because of the great repair work Sal did on my unit last year I'd be in great shape this year. And Keith confirmed that for me today.

Last year I simply grew tired of each and every other AC company coming over and trying to sell me something.
Perhaps you'll see my review of one of them somewhere around here - that the owner desperately tried to get me to change.

So a longtime friend of mine recommended Around the Sun last year. I couldn't call them up fast enough.

Anyway, the service business, no matter what line of industry it's in is about the SERVICE.
I know something about that in my line of work, too, and silly me - I once thought everyone else who works in service knew that, as well.
Unfortunately, with each passing year the LACK of service is more evident, instead.

If you - like me want to patronize only companies who still pride themselves in offering good service - please do give Around the Sun a call.

Finally, a company I can trust. They sent their tech, Keith Krause, to check my AC unit for the summer. Keith was a very nice guy and he even took his shoes off before coming into our house. He let me watch what he was doing and explained it all so I could understand. After checking the unit he told me everything was fine and most of all he did not try to sell me unnecessary repairs. (Another company told me I needed a new capacitor but Keith said it was fine. In my opinion this is an honest company that you can trust.
