Our 10-yr old Trane quit blowing cold, so I searched for residential AC repair. Reviews for Sun Valley looked good (and legit...so many bots/paid reviews these days).

I called, spoke with Melina who was very friendly and professional. She dispatched a tech, I was alerted about 30 minutes prior to his arrival (which was only about an hour after my initial call).

Frank showed up, was also very friendly and professional. He explained what he was doing as he diagnosed the problem. The compressor wasn't running.

At this point an unscrupulous vendor would tell me that I need a new compressor. As I know next to nothing about HVAC, I would likely have agreed to its replacement. Instead, Frank's further testing indicated that the culprit was a capacitor/"hard start" unit that wasn't triggering the compressor.

The difference is hundreds of dollars. Frank replaced the devices and as I type this it's nice and cool inside.

As we all know, there are bad actors in the realm of AC repair (and really, all home/auto repair services). I'm happy to pay for honest work done well. I just don't want to get ripped off.

I can recommend Sun Valley without hesitation.

Condenser motor died in 102* temps, AC was blowing 85* air in my house. From my initial call to job completion was 2 hours, wicked quick. Fast and effective, no-nonsense. Such a great experience with their services. Frank explained everything he did with his a/c services and has been reliable in helping my family stay cool in the summer. He's helped with my built-in home air conditioning as well as my smaller mini-split unit, which was great as other companies would not even help assist with the unit if they didn't install it themselves. This time I had Frank install a wifi thermostat with installation of a new C-wire. Everything went great.

Last summer was BRUTAL and it was time to get my AC replaced, I reached out to Snowman for a quote and they were able to provide a timely and competitive quote for a full AC replacement. I want to say within a week of contacting them we had a date scheduled for my AC install. Frank R, the owner of the company came to my home to walk through process and reset the expectations that were provided during our initial consult. Him and his technician were extremely professional and pleasant to work with. Within an hour I was up and running with my new Trane AC! They even installed a new vent grate for me and Frank took it upon himself to install my NEST thermostat for my newly compatible unite. Great service, professional communications and a great price.
