I have used Northwind Mechanical to service my HVAC systems for more than 3 years. All of their technicians are extremely personable and professional. They came out today to check on some items flagged by a home inspection for the potential sale of our home. Everything the inspector found was cosmetic. Aaron corrected the items quickly. This tells me Northwind has been doing an excellent job keeping our units in great working order! I have used several HVAC companies during the 20 years I have lived in the Valley. None have compared to Northwind! Great work guys!!!

AC issues on a 100+ degree day make accidentally rolling in a fire ant mount sound pleasant. The house quickly heated up to above 90; temperature that will test the patience of even the closest family. Faced with a sleepless night and a sweat drenched bed an emergency call to North Wind Mechanical was placed. Our hero Justin, a member of North Wind’s crack team arrived on scene. Professional, courteous, well spoken and highly knowledgeable, Justin went right to work. Justin aptly identified the problem, replaced a faulty part and restored this family to a state of peace, love and more importantly cool comfort. Northwind Mechanical installed the heating/cooling system in my home and they have been out a couple of times over the years for service. They have had a phenomenal response time and always professional and knowledgeable technicians. I strongly recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work.

Aaron came out to my house a couple times. One for a spring maintenance and the other to clean the indoor coil and sealed duct work in the attic. Both times he was friendly and did a great job. I highly recommend this company.

We purchased a home that had the A/C unit installed by North Wind Mechanical. We scheduled an annual service on the A/C unit. They called me and cancelled 3 different times on the A/C service for various reasons, so I had the service performed by Hobaica instead. We decided we wanted to add on additional zones to our system so I decided to give them another chance. Sure enough, they call me today and said they cannot make it out for our scheduled appointment tomorrow. Hopefully someone in management reads these as it seems they have problems following through on commitments they make to customers.

Northwind installed my air conditioners on my new home a little under two years ago. Today I had a Nest thermostat installed and it wasn’t installed correctly so was blowing hot air on a 107 degree day in Phoenix.

After doing everything I could with Nest customer service I was able to get in contact with Northwind. It was after hours and the gentleman I spoke with couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful and caring. Unfortunately he was quiet a ways a way an unable to get to me until the next morning. Nevertheless he spent 30+ minutes trying to walk me through the system patiently waiting as I would turn the electricity on and off.

Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. Thank you Northwind for taking the time with me and caring I will definitely be calling them for any future service or issues with my system.

The technician, Shaun, was very professional, respectful and clearly explained what we needed to have done with our a/c unit. He was on time and took care to protect the flooring when inside our home. We would use this company again and especially request Shaun.

My air conditioning was blowing hot air during the day and warm at night. I called Northwind Mechanical to see if they could figure out what was wrong. Turns out my condenser had a bad capacitor. Shaun got it running in no time. I’d recommend their services to my family and friends.

We discovered a small duct leak in our outdoor utility closet above the HVAC unit. Aaron M. came by to repair the leak was done in ~30 min. I had several other questions and he explained them to me and checked our other air handlers to make sure they were not leaking. As usual North Wind Mechanical was on time, competent and professional. In the North Wind office, Ashley cheerfully handles your call and is always very responsive and really keeps you in the loop about the timing of the service call. I heartily recommend North Wind Mechanical as they have always diagnosed and solved my HVAC problems very quickly.

We asked David at North Wind Mechanical to give our aging father a second opinion on an A/C repair that was going to cost him about 2k to fix. After a thorough inspection we were told the other company was trying to scam him. The unit was perfectly fine. Needless to say, our entire family will be switching to North Wind Mechanical for all our A/C needs from now on.

Not as happy as I usually am with Northwind. Called up for a summer tune up 3 weeks ago, specifically mentioning one of my units was running hard. Tech said everything was good when they left, but I had to call out for a second visit because that unit was still running too hard and freezing up.
New tech said it was 1 1/2 pounds low on freon. Something that should have been found the first visit. We're finally getting cold air again, so I'm happy, but my electric bill is going to be brutal because of a month of an almost constantly running unit.

We had Shaun out to our house today to fix our AC. He showed up on time and was friendly and professional. He got our AC running for a fair price. I would definitely use this company again.

I needed to update my 13 year old heat pump/AC before it died on me one lovely hot summer day. I found out about North Wind Mechanical and had an intial meeting set up. Everything was explained by Shaun at a level I could understand what my options were. That impressed me. I made my choice, set my install date and came the day, two installers, Justin and Jesus, worked their magic! They were professional, focused and efficient with the both the install and clean-up. Bottom line, I would recommend North Wind Mechanical for any AC needs.

I had them install a brand new system a couple years ago. I paid $8000 to have it installed, and within six months it leaked and flooded my attic because they didn't install the drip pan properly under the condenser. Then, one year later, the drip pan completely rusted out and now has stained the outside of our house with the rust because they didn't hang the condenser properly and it's been dripping nonstop into the secondary drip pan. They will not do anything to make it right because it's been over one year, even though they have problems within the first six months. Now I'm spending another $1500 to have another company come out and fix their faulty installation. I would never use this company again!

Not only was the pricing amazing but the installers were very thorough and neat. We had our whole HVAC system replaced with North Wind and I couldn't be happier. Professionalism, price, attention to detail, cleanliness and service were all topnotch !!! The best part of all was realized when our reduced APS bill came after the new Trane system was installed. Our bill dropped by almost $50 a month. Thank you for all of your help it was better than anticipated !!!

I’ve used Northwind mechanical for the last six years. We had to put a new unit in July 2013. I’ve had them service my unit since. They are very efficient and take the time to answer my questions and concerns. I recently had a home I sold serviced and again had great service. I referred my neighbor and now they use Northwind. The service technicians are awesome! David and Shaun I’ve dealt with in the past however I met Jesus this service and I received the same great service. I even had tough questions which he handled well. Thanks Northwind! Keep up the good work.

Called for a maintenance, plus one of our units was not working very well so I called Northwind Mechanical. Shaun the service tech who came out was very professional and thorough in his report. Unit ended up needing some freon because it was low on charge. They found the leak on a loose fitting and unit has been working great ever since. Also gave us some recommendations of filters. 10/10

Justin is very personable and honest. He's been to our house twice for different issues and he has taken care of our problems right away. He even came out on a Sunday when our AC wasn't blowing cool air. He takes the time to explain to you why the issue happened in the first place and ways to prevent it from happening again. It's refreshing to have a reliable company that can be trusted. They are reasonable on their prices too especially since we don't have a home warranty. I highly recommend them for any ac issues. I have used North Wind Mechanical now for years, both for our rental homes and our new build. They have always been extremely responsive and so accommodating and their quality of work is great!
