I have to tell you how thoroughly pleased I was with the work of The Desert Root. I was replacing the original plantings, irrigation and lighting of my home. Tara was great in incorporating some of my ideas into the plan while adding her own considerable expertise. She came up with a great plan. Tony and his crew friendly, skillful and thorough. They installed the new landscaping, irrigation and lights with careful attention to detail and completely cleaned the area when done. It was way beyond my expectations. When one of the lights malfunctioned they were here within 24 hours to fix it. Overall it was a great experience. I recommend them highly.

The entire team at Desert Root went above and beyond to make our front yard beautiful. Tara has a great eye for design and Tony and his team worked hard to pull it all together! They fixed our irrigation issues that were out of control since we moved in. They truly exceeded our expectations! They provided excellent quality service while maintaining a professional and friendly environment. I would highly recommend them for all landscaping needs. Can’t wait to use them again for our backyard and garden!

She listened to what features were most important to us as well as how our family would use the backyard and incorporated it into the design. Desert Root came highly recommended by a neighbor and they did not disappoint. We initially hired them to add additional landscaping to our back yard; we were so happy with the results we hired them again a few months later to add some much-needed curb appeal to our front yard. Both times Tara listened to our ideas and provided a great design plan. She was quick to respond to any questions and she dealt directly with our HOA to get design approval.

I loved working with Desert Root, from the first appointment discussing concept through the complettion of the project. I always knew who was coming, when they were coming and how long they would take. They took our ideas, and considered our objectives and created a couple of different designs that exceded our expectations. We started with a contract that listed all of the materials, tasks and costs and we amended it as the project details changed. So great to work with the entire team. The finished product is so amazing that I can not walk into the space without smiling. I feel fortunate to have found them and would use them again when the need arises.

We recently had a major over-haul of our existing pathways and steps leading to our house with The Desert Root. Working with the team of Tara and Tony was a pleasure. Tara was able to map out our design, submit to our HOA for approval and had a team working on our project within a few days. Everything was explained up front including schedules, names of the crew, and what their timeline looked like. The crew was professional and did a beautiful job both removing our existing stamped concrete and installing the new pavers. There was close attention to detail and periodic updates and check-ins with their progress. It was one of the best construction experiences we have had. I recently hired Desert Root for our landscaping needs and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Our project had a challenge with patio steps and planters along with a putting green. Tara and the team did an excellent job with design and install. The install Crew was very professional, courteous, and efficient. The Guys even worked through 2 days of rain. The end result was a beautiful design that exceeded my expectations. The work was completed on time and within budget. I highly recommend Desert Root to anyone looking for quality landscaping services.

Working with Desert Root Landscaping was amazing. I cannot emphasize this enough, this is the company you want to go with. Even if there are cheaper options, experience in my opinion is priceless.

We worked with Jeff on our project, he helped us with our design. And I will say we did not make things easy. My husband and I have very different tastes so it is difficult to make us both happy. When we had our initial design meeting we were blown away. It was perfect, and a combination of what we both wanted. He had extensive knowledge about the plants, and what would work well in our yard. He was extremely communicative, and I never felt rushed. We don't have the biggest/fanciest house but he still treated us like top tier customers. They are booking a ways out, but this was all communicated up front and even delivered sooner then expected.

Then the actual work started and it went so smoothly. Tony and his entire team were extremely professional and hard working. They had really great attention to detail. I work remotely and would look out the window and see guys double checking their work time and time again. Any time we brought up a concern they were professional and kind about it. My husband likes to be very involved and they would take the time to explain the work to him in detail. They were always on time, and cleaned up after themselves well. They were done, in my opioion really quickly, just a little over 5 business days for a very large project.

Tara, the owner checked in with us personally to see how the project was going. Which was an amazing touch.

Overall we are just so happy, see the before and after pictures below yourself. Our front yard is transformed, this is truly going to change our lives, and make us so proud of our home. We are going to use this company again to continue doing work in our backyard if possible :).

I wish I could give 10 stars. Stop looking and hire Tara and her team. Everything they do is amazing. Customer Service, quality of work, etc far exceeded my expectations.

We knew we couldn’t afford to do everything we wanted for our backyard. Tara worked with us on the best places to put our money and get our quote down to a reasonable price.

Day one of work, she introduced us to everyone on her crew and they were all knowledgeable and super easy to work with.

We made a few changes to design while they were working and they were super flexible with trying not to increase the cost of the project.

Final day of work, we did a full walkthrough to make sure we were happy and everything was perfect before we paid final amount.

I’ve had very bad luck with contractors in the past. I just wish the rest of my house looked as good as my backyard does now.

The best part about the Desert Root is that Tara and her team worked within my budget! I got another quote, and that company pushed my budget to $20,000. That was $5000 above my budget. With Tara and her team, they absolutely respected my budget, and the original estimate she provided was actually a little below my budget. For a new homeowner, this was so important! There were no hidden, surprises or push to go beyond my financial comfort zone.
