Sunbelt Electric does not stand behind its work. They are short on performance but long on excuses.

If, however, you are one of those rare individuals who enjoys watching a technician come into your home, manhandle and damage your home's equipment, explain to you that what you saw him do he didn't actually do and if he did do it it wasn't his fault, then give you a dozen excuses why it's not his fault and refuse to fix the damage before leaving your home littered with his work trash, then Sunbelt Electric is definitely for you.

Of course, needless to say, when you complain to the company they inform you that the damage to your equipment was not caused by their technician and they know this because he did not self report to them that he had damaged your equipment.

Just got off the phone with my warranty company. Your tech came out for less than a minute. My exhaust fan came on when he flicked the switch. He said it was the motor - didn't even look at the bathroom exhaust fan (hanging out about a quarter of an inch) and was at my home less than a minute or two. Said he was going to write up an estimate for AHS. Instead - he said it was "fine". I called AHS and was hopping mad. They are refunding me my $100 payment, as well as giving me a discount on my monthly payments. We own two homes, and since I travel back and forth between the two (3 hours one-way), I did advise AHS that your company could not even bother to get on a ladder and check to see if the fan had become unseated, given it is hanging from the ceiling about a quarter of an inch. Maybe that was why the fan came on sometimes and not others, and made a noise? Maybe that's what causes the burning smell if left on for any length of time? If you don't want to do warranty work because you don't get paid enough for it, then be honest with the client and the warranty company about it. We've had AHS for years, and never experienced anything like this before. I can assure you that I will tell all on my local pages NOT to consider your company, and to advise any home warranty companies not to use you as their company. (You can refuse, btw, and some business versus none seems like a very bad decision on your part.) Shame on you, since this senior citizen is getting up on the ladder to see if I can repair it myself, or will look on my local pages (social media) to find a reputable company (oh wait - there's one with another bad review for you just written with a recommendation. I'll reach out to them). Maybe they can actually look at a fan which has obviously unseated itself, works intermittently if at all, and makes noise and eventually burning smells.

Technician Dale arrived promptly, was very friendly and knowledgeable and fixed the problem quickly. Very happy with the service and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I had a fantastic experience with Sunbelt Electric. From start to finish, the service was prompt, professional, and friendly. My outlets weren’t working properly, and they sent out Frank, who was absolutely wonderful. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. Frank was efficient, thorough, and made sure everything was safe before he left. It’s rare to find someone who takes such pride in their work and genuinely cares about the customer’s satisfaction. I couldn’t be happier with the results, and I’ll definitely be using Sunbelt Electric again for any future electrical needs. Thank you, Frank, for going above and beyond!

We were serviced 2 days ago by a technician named Cole. Honestly it was the worst experience I have ever had. He was unprofessional, rude, and after one republic told me the notes he wrote (which yes I can see them Cole), that’s when I decided to write this review. Sunbelt electric do better with your technicians and service. I went and looked at the last couple of reviews and it seems fitting after what I experienced. I have an electrical box in my attic that’s not covered, a potential fire hazard and he looked at my husband and said, “ yeah bro I’m not going in your attic”. Needless to say I would never recommend this company, especially the technician.

I needed service on my electrical box and contacted my home warranty company. Sunbelt was the chosen company. Technician went to the home and "fixed" the problem. The next day, a home inspector came through and found the problem was not fixed. I had pictures that showed that the part had not been replaced. I spoke with the office staff, they indicated that the work was done, did not want to see pictures. I had to contact warranty company, only to be told that Sunbelt would have to return to fix the issue. How does a technician replace a 40 amp "refurbished" on the first visit and a 30 amp brand new part, on the second visit? These are NOT interchangeable. They provided invoices indicating that this is what was done.

Their technician arrived at my home and by the time I was notified he was already putting a card on my front door and leaving. He refused to wait the 10 minutes that was allotted for me to get home and allow him to come in. Do not use this company take your business elsewhere

Update: when I called they refused to send the technician back. When I attempted to reschedule they refused to do so. This is causing me to pay my warranty company an additional service fee. The receptionist specifically refused to assist me in any way, maybe the technician would have been fine.

I have Old Republic home warranty coverage on my house. We had an electrical issue and the home warranty company sent out a different electrical company initially when I called them with my problem. That tech denied the claim without even looking at the light problem or even climbing a ladder to diagnose the issue.

After telling Old Republic how frustrating that was they sent out Sunbelt Electric for a second opinion. Their tech showed up this morning and had the wiring issue fixed in less than 30 minutes. If only Old Republic had sent Sunbelt out the first time we could have had it fixed days sooner. After looking at other reviews it looks like I wasn't alone either! Thank you!

This electrician was dispatched through my home warranty company and spent less than five minutes at my home before deciding the issue was due to an “overloaded circuit,” which they said was not covered under warranty. There was no real discussion or explanation of what they believed the actual problem was. I was told they needed to get approval from the warranty company to proceed, and then they left.

I later found out on my own that the issue was deemed not covered. My warranty company does not cover sending out a second electrician, so I requested that JP Electric return to provide an estimate or clarification on what they believed the issue was. They declined, stating they only accept jobs that are covered through the warranty.

As a result, I had to pay out of pocket for a second electrician to come out and provide a proper diagnosis and repair. Based on what was ultimately fixed, the issue should have been covered under my warranty, but because of the initial rushed and inaccurate assessment, it wasn’t.

When I tried to follow up for more information or an estimate, they were unavailable and unhelpful. Overall, this was a frustrating experience that cost me unnecessary time and money. I would not recommend relying on this company for thorough diagnostics or customer support.

Used my home warranty as my new oven was not staying on. Tech came to house and just said it was too much activity on GSI. He.said he would submit to home warranty and get back with us. 2 days later and no working oven, I called Sunbelt and was told it was denied. I contacted another electrician since Sunbelt didnt even look at GSI and low and behold, the GSI was actually burned out. Maybe had Sunbelt taken an extra 5 minutes to actually look--which would have made it a 10 minute visit--they would have seen that. That is was burned out and not just because the stove was new. I hope the $125 5-minute service call was worth it. Very poor service/attitude with 4 day turnaround time. Save yourself the frustration and dont even bother with these guys!
