So glad I called Local Roots. My new “Go to” plumbing and AC resource. Mike inspected my entire heating and AC system for some issues that were occurring which he then diagnosed, found, verified and video taped where the problem was and what the fix would be. We were unhappy with the service done by the company (Service Experts) who acquired Hays and felt there was a large drop-off in quality and trustworthiness. A family member recommended Local Roots and we are glad to have made the switch. Our tech, Nolan Crowe, did a thorough job in explaining and completing the maintenance. He didn't rush and answered all of my questions. He was friendly, efficient and good at his job. Reach out and give this company a shot for HVAC work and service.

Local Roots sent a very knowledgeable technician, Ideal Nebija, to perform seasonal maintenance. Ideal did a great job with system checkout and explained in detail the recommended services and their purpose. I am familiar with the owners of the company and trust the work they perform. I will use them in the future.

Service Tech Ideal has worked for us for approximately the past four years working for two different companies. Each time he has done a service it was exceptional. He always showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, took photos of all his repairs, and explained everything. He also answered all the questions we had and made recommendations for follow up repair that was needed. We have full confidence in his work product.
When it came time to replace our aged units he was the first person we contacted. He came to the house and spent all the necessary time to explain all our options.
He returned with his boss and they answered more questions and made sure we were comfortable with our decision.
We’ve had the units for about a month now and couldn’t be any happier with the results. I would highly recommend Local Roots AC & Plumbing for either service.
As for Ideal, he is the best technician we’ve had in our 54 years of marriage.

We were so excited to get the Local Roots AC & Plumbing letter in the mail and find that our old friends, Chris & Stacia Hays are back in the HVAC business - and just in the nick of time! Our AC unit went out last Tuesday and I immediately called Local Roots. A tech was at our house within 30 minutes. Ideal, our tech, was incredibly friendly & polite and let us know our options - we could do a band-aid fix on our 16-year-old Trane, or replace it. We opted to replace it, and the AC install happened the very next day.

Local Roots was right on time, and kept us updated throughout every step of the way. All the techs we worked with, Ideal, Denny, & Zak, were very knowledgeable and trustworthy. What a relief it is to have them back. I highly recommend and got a stack of business cards to pass to all my family & friends.

Matthew did an amazing job! He explained everything clearly so I understood what was happening, and he went over the pricing upfront so there was no surprise, just honest and transparent.

He also took care of the immediate plumbing problem and made sure the issue was completely resolved before leaving. He also provided recommendations to avoid future plumbing problems.

Very happy with the service we received. We scheduled our annual service for our A/C unit. Our tech, Ideal, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was very thorough and did a great job, ensuring we will keep cool through these summer months.

Another company had come out a few months ago and quoted me to recharge my systems, install surge protectors, replace my caps, and install drain line shut off switches. I had a feeling their prices were high so I gave Local Roots a call. David was professional and courteous. He explained everything he thought was needed and what he thought wasn’t. I never felt he was being anything but honest with me. At the end of it all, I spent $1100 with less with Local Roots than the other guys.

These guys are awesome, they are polite and clean up after themselves and do top notch work. Very clean install, these guys take pride in their work which is hard to find these days Very knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended, would definitely use again!

I highly recommend Local Roots, which is owned by Chris and Stacia Hays. They have been serving our home for almost a decade. Communication with the office is OUTSTANDING. Easy to schedule. They call when the tech is on his way and even send a picture of him so we know who to look for.
Most recently, Dave came out to inspect the furnace and because of a breakage caused by a roofer, Zac came out to do the repair. Both techs were very knowledgeable and treated our home as if it were their own. I’m so happy Chris and Stacia are still on operation. Their excellence is light years above and beyond all others!

Happy to be reconnected with Mr. Hayes. Was blessed to learn he is back in business, called Local Roots for a second opinion when our coil needed to be replaced. Not only was his company quick to respond, the cost was much less than the first quote. Dave quickly provided the 2nd opinion within one day of my call and the next day Jordan and Zack were out to replace/repair the coil, ensuring everything was done correctly. The whole team was professional and ensured our needs were taken care of - we had our heating back just in time for Thanksgiving. Thankful for all of you!

Local roots has been nothing but great in our experience. We had them install a new AC last June and just had our AC Tune Up last week. Noah was amazing, knowledgeable, and wanted to make sure we had everything taken care of. He wasn’t pushing in talking about their VIP packages and handled everything professionally. I turned my AC on because it got hot for the first time in a while and no cold air came out so I looked around for a good service that would be able to get me up and running fast without a bunch of games and high pressure tactics. I saw these guys and their great reviews and decided to give them a shot. I was not disappointed. The technician, Ideal, came out, quickly diagnosed the problem and made it his mission to get me back in action. I highly recommend this service to anyone. Five stars!

Just had a great experience with Nolan and Local Roots AC and Plumbing. This is a family business with an evident focus on quality and integrity. I had been a committed customer to Hays since we had moved to this neighborhood in 2015. I was upset to learn that their business was sold and have had a number of interactions with other companies which were not of the quality I had become used to. I am delighted that the Hays have opened this new company and I will return as a loyal customer after my outstanding experience with Nolan today. He is skilled, polite, and seems honest. Plus, my dog loved him! (very rare for her). It makes life a little easier when I can worry about more important things than getting fleeced by AC companies.

This company is really great! Never heard of them before, but got some personal recommendations & wanted to try them (since my previous, big name companies were major disappointments). No upselling (which I REALLY appreciated) and wonderful work, in both plumbing (Matthew) and HVAC (Ideal) repairs. Both techs knew what they were doing and had my best interests in mind. They made sure I was happy and satisfied with the work. I also appreciated the communications I received with the home office - in both scheduling and follow up. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone, especially the two techs I worked with.

Brad did the AC work for my home. Great Service! Great Products!! My energy bills are very low compared to my neighbors.

10 years ago after the big hailstorm, Brad installed my new energy efficient direct ductwork and new heat pump. Since then he has backed up the project with continued service and repair when needed. he is extremely knowledgeable in energy systems and knows how to save you money!

Our tech was friendly and knowledgeable. Fixed my unit and thermostat quickly without issue. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family!
