We used Maximum Comfort Specialists through our Home Warranty Company. On several of the coldest nights so far this winter our heating went out. Maximum Comfort was quick to respond from their new Chino Valley, AZ location. Our technician, Jacob was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. He replaced the gas valve and that seemed to work for an hour but unfortunately the system would not restart. Called Maximum Comfort again and Jacob came back out and re-inspected. Jacob ordered a new control panel from Phoenix and traveled there to pick it up. A couple days later he rescheduled with us to install the new panel. Jacob went out of his way to ensure our heating issues were resolved. Highly recommend.

This company was assigned to service our A/C by Fidelity Home Warranty. Our units were original to the house and at or beyond end of life. We elected to replace the unit in need of repair and the second. The installation may have begun on May 25th, but it didn't end until August 13th. We had to hire another contractor to complete the installation correctly.
I spoke with Maximum Comfort Specialists when the 2nd unit leaked through the ceiling (June 19th) and again when the 1st unit stopped 13th working (July 12th). Both times Mario was sent to make the repairs. When the unit leaked through the ceiling he found it also had no Freon. He made the repairs and told us he did a favor by adding Freon. Mind you, it was two weeks prior he installed that unit.
When the monsoon got busy, the main unit stopped. Why, because it wasn't level and would not drain the water from the condensation. We called Landon's A/C to help us and he recommended we contact the Registry of Contractors based on the poor installation. He was able to get the unit running, but couldn't take the job. Matt came to see the install and was "embarrassed" by what he saw.
Mario was sent back and spent 3 hours making repairs. Repairs he told me were perfect and that he sent photos to the owner (Matt) who approved of the job. When I told Mario I was going to have another company inspect, he told the the job was "perfect." Maximum Comfort Specialists confirmed no photos were sent to Matt for his approval.
That other company, Quantum Climate Control, found code violations and made the necessary repairs to the tune of $840. That invoice was sent to Maximum Comfort Specialists for their review, by their request, and our ask for reimbursement. To date they haven't responded. Nor have they responded to the Better Business Bureau.
Yes, they offered to come back a 4th time to make repairs, but we learned our lesson. Buyer beware - I would not recommend this company,

Fidelity National Home warranty sent these folks to repair my lower Air handler. Mario and Ryan, the technicians, came and did an outstanding job replacing the unit in 3.5 hours my A/C was up and running. I can not say enough about these gentlemen getting the job done in a timely manner and exceeding my expectations.
Additionally the office worked very hard to get all of this going with Fidelity. Melissa and Kayla worked on the paperwork end tirelessly and made it all happen.

First guy Ryan that came out replaced the wrong part even lied about what part he did fixed. Melissa in the office was supposed to get back to me to let me know when to expect the part, and she just waited till the part came in to let me know Matt was gonna come back to fix the issue. Matt is a no nonsense kind of guy seems to know what he is doing, didn't even seem to mind me hanging out on the roof while he repaired the AC ( because at this point I was worried about what was being fixed and being lied to again). This is just my experience, in hopes to educate people, may yours be better.

Melissa in the office was friendly, helpful and communicative. The tech, Mario, was on time and quick to diagnose and repair the fan motor. I’m pleased to have the AC blowing cold again. I will use them again and be happy to recommend them to others. Thank you for a job well done all the way around!

I'm screaming from the mountain tops to use this company, Maximum Comfort
Specialist. My husband and I decided to get a second opinion and it saved us 10 thousand dollars. Ryan was out today and told us we do not need a new unit, we only needed a part replaced and our air is back up and running!! I promise you won't be disappointed with this company, good people still exist in this world. I'm a customer for life, thank you!

My experience with this company was very positive. Their service person, Douglas, was prompt, professional and efficient. With a new thermostat my furnace is now working. I definitely will recommend and use them again.

Douglas went over & beyond and was superb in every way. Professional, knowledgeable, respectful AND, was able to detect an ongoing issue my Unit had been experiencing (that 2 other companies failed to detect) over the last two months! Awesome service.

Maximum Comfort was sent to us through our warranty company. They replaced both our outdoor and indoor units. It worked for 1 night. Apparently it had a piece that malfunctioned (not their fault, I suppose). Additionally, there were several issues with the install (we had it inspected by an HVAC expert). Maximum Comfort actually took ownership of the issues when I shared what I had learned and came back out to fix those and replace the faulty part. Jacob, who did not do the install, but did the fixing of the poor install, was apologetic and professional. He took some accountability for not checking the less experienced tech's work. Melissa in the office was also helpful and seemed apologetic when I called. However, they did charge us for an item we said we didn't need and we had to call repeatedly to have them refund us the cost. We paid close to $2,000 out of pocket for items that were "not covered" by our warranty company (we added a heating system). After all is said and done, the unit works. However, we will be paying another $900+ out of pocket to have the install finished. There are at least 4 items that were not done properly: 1) Our indoor unit does not have a P-Trap, which is meant to allow condensation to flow from the equipment; 2) there is minor leakage in the indoor unit because instead of replacing the top piece, they simply taped it up; 3) We will have to install a condenser pad. Matthew, the supervisor or owner refused to put one in because there is concrete under our units - however, that concrete serves no purpose. The unit should be raised, not buried in dirt and rocks to protect it from moisutre, infestation, etc. He also said if the warranty company would approve it, he'd do it. He said he'd call. I received a call back within 10 minutes stating they said "no" and that was that. I then called my warranty company and he had not called - there was no record of his call, and c'mon, who has ever gotten through to their warranty company (even contractors) in less than 10 minutes; and 4) The Electrical snap bushings are sloppy and not sealed -only a matter of time before there is water damage, etc. Although we could likely get them back out here through our warranty company again, we would rather pay a professional to do the work. We are fortunate we received a warranty on the units. But we received no warranty on labor from Maximum Comfort. Finally, if Matthew were the first person I had contact with at that company, we would have never used them. I'm so disheartened by this company and actually feel badly for some of the employees (Jacob and Melissa - who seem to take some pride in their work). Don't use them if you can help it. Here is a referral to someone who is professional, takes pride in their work, won't take advantage of you, and will do a thorough job: Gabriel's Air Care LLC. He is located in Phoenix and when we haven't gone through our warranty company we have used him. He follows through, is fair and can be trusted to do the job well. Such an ordeal and awful experience. Save yourself the nightmare.

This has honestly been the worst experience of my life. We have a home warranty company that we called for an AC repair, they sent out Maximum Comfort and I have been in a nightmare ever since. We live in Phoenix, AZ where temps exceed 115 degrees in the summer. They told us our duct work needs to be fixed and that it was going to be $1,000 and our warranty doesn't cover that. The tech, Mario said it was blowing cold air but because of the duct work it was not connected. I did not have the money in the moment and said I could not pay that, the tech, Mario said he called the owner and that because they are a small company the owner would be willing to trade for the work. He said he could do the duct work for jewelry, gold or guns. I of course said I do not have anything of value. I could not believe that he would even ask that. Anyways he left and we went into the attic to look at the duct work, the tape had come off where the duct work connects to the unit. That was it, one spot and it just needed tape and a zip tie. It took 2 minutes, literally. We went to turn on the AC and it would not turn on. We went on the roof and found out the tech purposely did something so that even if the duct work was connected the AC would not turn on. We got it straightened out and AC was blowing but it was hot air. We reached out to our warranty company again and they said they would have a supervisor/manager come out. Maximum Comfort contacted us last night saying the supervisor would come out this morning between 7-9AM. Well we made ourselves available just for the time to come and pass so I called and they told me that our warranty company cancelled the work order this morning and to call them. So I called the warranty company and they had documentation that Maximum Comfort called them to cancel saying we need a second opinion because our duct work needs to be fixed. It does not need to be fixed. I told them this entire situation multiple times. So they cancelled but tried to blame it on our warranty company and said they would feel more comfortable if a different company comes out. No one from Maximum Comfort called to tell us they cancelled their appointment with us this morning and when I call to talk to a manager they are in a meeting all day until 4pm. I have a young child and dogs and we have been suffering almost a month dealing with this company. I am beyond exhausted and crying out of frustration.

Worst, and slowest service ever. The technician came out to our house, spent over an hour, and our AC is still not fixed, and there was no final report provided to the home warranty company, and no information provided to us. It has been almost 3 weeks, and although multiple calls have been placed to the company, by ourselves and the home warranty company, they have failed to answer our calls or respond to the messages left. Our AC is working worse than before the tech touched our unit and now we are stuck until they provide a report

My AC stopped working, and my home warranty company assigned Maximum Comfort Specialists to my case. Mario Salas was early, and promptly found the problem of melted wires and repaired them. He also explained the cause of the meltdown and gave me the options for a more permanent solution.
He was very professional, and I was pleased with his work. I recommend him and his company.

Update: Update: After going through a process of getting my AC repaired through my home warranty and then a service provider, which turned out to be Maximum Comfort Specialists I was not a happy customer. However, Victoria contacted me personally and we talked about the issue and I have to say she went above and beyond my expectations and was able to have a tech come out to my home on a Saturday morning and make the necessary repairs that were needed. Keep in mind they are not open on the weekends and I was going on 6-7 days without AC in my home, but Victoria made it happen. I am so grateful for this company and the job they did. If and when I can refer an AC company, they will be at the top of my list because they deserve all the credit for making a customer happy.

I had no heat in my home and was thankful that the front office made an appointment for the same day I called. Mario provided diagnosis on my heating unit that was not working. He explained, in detail, the problem with my older unit and provided alternate solutions. Mario was patient, courteous and respectful through this process. The front office also provided information and assistance with my home warranty. I decided on a new unit and Mario installed two days later! I'm very pleased with the prompt and professional service from all at Maximum Comfort Specialists.

They serviced our AC via our Home warranty referral, they arrived on time, and refilled the AC with refrigerant, so got it cooling again.. BUT from the onset, I mentioned that I was not getting any cool air in a part of the house which was significantly higher temp than then rest of the home. They never checked or addressed the issue, and left upon payment without checking back. i called to get them back right after he left .. nothing we have left 5+ ,messages nobody ever picks up at all. They also misinformed me about the process with insurance , said they would not get approval until 2-3 days and they would reimburse me if they approved and I paid now. Then the home warranty folks said because we paid for the service ahead of approval they would not cover, proper procedure would be to call them when the tech was there. shady either dont state anything about the process or be truthful to what you have experienced. worst contractor for non-responsiveness.

What a lucky find! Small company. Melissa was great . She was very patient with us. Our regular guy retired and had nowhere to start. Hit there website and she called right away. It's Friday. 110 out. Mario got here in the beginning of our promised window. Our parts were under warranty. The labor was very reasonable. After talking to Mario, we did a tiny upgrade to protect the life of our unit. We are/ have been in sales. Thank you!

We live part time in Scottsdale and on our recent trip down, walked in to the house that was 98° when we set it at 80° while we are away for a month or so. It was also quite stinky - the fridge/freezer had turned off - very gross! Long story short - something had happened in our fuse box that had flipped several switches and both AC fuses were dead. So now we’re staying at a hotel… Electrician came and repaired the fuse box. Fridge compressor was dead so new fridge. Then the most important help of what has so far been a bad trip… Aubrey from Maximum Comfort arrives! He got the upstairs AC up and running (YAY) so we could at least sleep up there. It took a few days longer to get the downstairs (bigger) AC up and running. The compressor was dead and we have a home warranty program that did seem to gum up the process a bit. But Aubrey returned with the compressor and got the second unit up and running. Very happy with his work -nice young man, very polite, friendly, and informative. Also a shout out to the patient lady that answers the phone (sorry don’t know her name) who dealt with my daily phone calls pleading for help and updates dealing with the home warranty. Much appreciation to her too!

Technician Mike arrived at the leading edge of the estimated time window, compassionately listened to my explanation. He found my many years old air conditioner to be functioning properly, no service required. He discovered where aging duct tape at the connection to the house had deteriorated and was allowing cold air to leak. He resealed the areas with heavy duty aluminum tape. He adjusted interior vents for optimum cooling. He gave me peace of mind. He suggested I wait several days to let the residence find its new normal cool level before considering other next steps. Mike T. thank you for expert, compassionate, professional service.

This vendor was sent out by my home warranty company. This vendor did not do their due diligence. The man was scheduled between 1 and 3 came at 6. I get it jobs can take longer then expected. No call from vendor to inform me he was behind. They came to my house for 20 min told me I need s new AC unit. I paid 75.00 for NOTHING. NO work was done he left my house at 94 degrees with a disabled child. I have requested to see my work order several times still have not received anything. I paid for a 2nd opinion and my unit needed freon that's it. I didn't need a new unit and whatever he said about my wiring to my thermostat was incorrect was not true. If you work on AC business and you think a thermostat is wired incorrectly shouldn't you resolve the issue or look at it not just say oh its not working when on my work order it said thermostat was not working? As a single mom with a child with a disability this is NOT ACCEPTABLE to not do your job correctly.

Melissa and Doug are my hero's! Been a 3 month fight with the warranty company to do the right thing and order the right parts. Melissa helped in getting the correct parts after the warranty company sent the wrong parts, she made sure it got corrected and than Doug came out and finished the work really fast, left no mess, just a smile on my face. Thanks!

I know this company has gotten some bad reviews so I wanted to take a moment to document a really positive one. My AC went out over the wknd was able to open a claim on Sunday late afternoon with my home warranty and next morning Ryan was out. Not only for as he extremely professional, he was very knowledgeable and took the time to really assess/diagnose the problem. He made sure to take care of the issue and replace the broken part after a considerable amount of effort to repair the existing. I highly recommend this company for their service and professionalism.
