I asked many HVAC companies to give quotes for a new heat pump installation. Family Air was one of few that I wanted to work with. Kurt was deeply knowledgeable, practical and kind. From the brief experience, I felt that the company was trustworthy and would perform high quality work.

I was extremely impressed with the service I received from Family Air from the beginning. Kurt was amazing. He was quick to come out and evaluate the replacement of our 2 HVAC systems and provide a very reasonable estimate. He was always very prompt in responding to my various questions either by email or a phone call to make sure I understood everything I needed to make an informed decision. Once I made the decision to accept their proposal, he made a special appointment to come out in advance of the installation and add some additional recycled R-22 to both my existing systems at no additional cost to make sure these “dying” systems operated sufficiently cool to withstand the extreme heat and keep us cool until the new system installations were complete. This was beyond what I could have ever expected!

The day of the installation, 2 experienced crews showed up exactly as scheduled. Greg, Frank, the Omar’s (father and son) worked quickly and efficiently and had both systems up and running by noon the same day. The entire work site was left clean with no follow up issues. Kurt returned promptly the next day to check on everything and make sure we were completely

Bought a brand new Rheem unit from them in 2018 when my 25 year old unit broke down. They are hands down the best company in town. Honest, transparent, and they perform great work efficiently. just recently I had an issue with my unit where it just didn’t seem “cold” enough. They came out in less than a business week and stayed until they found out it needed a few new parts. Parts were under warranty so I pay nothing for them, I’m just paying for labor- which is 100% fair. thanks so much Family Air you all have helped me and my 3 fluffy dogs a ton over the past 3 years.

I can't say enough about Family Air, from the ladies, Faith and Crystal, on the phone to the technicians in my house, they were prompt, honest, knowledgeable and professional. It was a nightmare dealing with the company that our home warranty sent us, so we opted out of getting our AC repaired for the 4th time in 5 years and just bought a whole new unit. Of course, this all happened while my husband and I were in different states and my MIL was staying at our house watching the dogs. Faith even answered the phone on Sunday and told me they could get someone out to look at it and give us an estimate on Tuesday and then she put us on their schedule on Thursday just in case we wanted to go with them. She listened and was incredibly empathetic to what we were going through and apologetic about the other company who never followed up with us. Our appointment was at 4pm and Jonathon called my husband to ask if it was OK if he showed up early, yes please. We had proposals that night and they even emailed us a letter stating that their technicians are all certified because our home warranty wouldn't "buy us out" unless they were. Thank you Faith! A team of 3, James C, John Jr and Robert showed up on time and worked hard for 7 hours to install our new unit, explain and answer all our questions and then thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Thank you so much Family Air for going above and beyond for our family, I will be referring you to everyone!!

Way to go Family Air! We have been with this company through two homes we’ve owned and lived in. We have used their services for maintenance, repair, and the install of a new unit in the past. Living in a newer home, we were surprised when our builder- installed AC unit failed. The compressor went out. Family Air to the rescue though. Fast-forward to yesterday when I called because I noticed that our unit felt like it wasn’t cooling as well and it was short cycling. TEP also showed us that our bill climbed rapidly over that time. I’m very sensitive to slight temperature changes and I knew something was wrong. I asked them to send Jerry who did all the work a couple years ago which they did. He was so very thorough and found a fault in the wiring where the wires were actually burned. As soon as he replaced the wires and fix the issue, I could feel the change in the temperature inside our home!

As a GC, I’ve been working with these guys for years. Always goes above and beyond to take care of any issue I have. Prompt, friendly, and price competitive. Highly recommend.

We recently discovered that Family Air is an awesome Tucson A/C company. Everyone showed true professionalism throughout our project. We recently had a replacement/upgrade A/C furnace combo unit installed by Family Air in NW Tucson. Greg and Frank were the installers and they were excellent. They showed up exactly as scheduled with all materials required, and left the site clean. They were very methodical yet the install took less than 8 hours. The unit is beautiful and is very quiet and smooth running. They've obviously done a lot of installs and take extreme pride in their great work! As Greg said, "we install the way we would want to install a system in our own homes." They explained exactly what they did and how (in simple and understandable terms) to operate the thermostat and how to best use the equipment going forward. Our sales Rep Kurt presented us with a straightforward, sensible, highly competitive contract with a rock solid warranty. No Glitz, no glamor, no sales pressure, no haggling or nagging or calling me constantly for a decision or me having to negotiate a fair price. The process was easy! And...yes, we got a great price from the start! The receptionist at the front office was also prompt, courteous, kind, and professional. This company gave us their word and they delivered so well for us. I am looking forward to using them on the preventative maintenance and their service support going forward. I did my homework and evaluated four highly rated established Tucson HVAC companies. Ultimately, I decided on Family Air and so happy I did! Why am I writing this review? Because reading the past reviews about this company was very helpful to me in my decision. I hope that this review helps someone else who needs to know from a customer's actual experience regarding the great quality experience that we had with these folks. Stay Cool!

We were without AC for several days in 107° heat, and Family Air truly came to the rescue. While another company quoted nearly 4x the cost with a questionable diagnosis, Family Air was honest, fair, and fast (and sensitive to our situation). They even loaned us a portable cooler and rushed the parts so we could get relief as soon as possible.

A very confused company. They don’t keep good records of maintenance and are often confused about schedules, if you have paid, not paid or unsure what work has been carried out.
On top that they perform repairs without authorisation.

I switched to another company.

Just case in point. They say they will look into issues and we have heard absolutely nothing since I posted this review. An unresponsive, unreliable and confused company!

I got work done on a heating system for one of my investment properties and it was an excellent experience. The staff and reception were very helpful in figuring out what the issue exactly was and the technician that came to help us out was extremely transparent and straightforward with what needs to be done without doing unnecessary changes and charging an absurd amount of money.

I needed a new A/C unit for my house and I am so glad that I chose Brenovations. Marina came out to check out a leak that my A/C unit had, she was great. My A/C unit was pretty old and past its prime. The Brenovations team came out to install a new A/C and they were very quick and thorough. Will, Bill, Jeremiah, Branden, Ryan, and Junior were all very professional. I will be using Brenovations for all my Hvac needs.

Nathan our tech was really knowledgeable, honest, and professional. Answered all of my many questions and was helpful. Jessie at the main desk answered all of my calls and really helped get things sorted. I trust their service and will continue to use them in the future.

Used through my home warranty. They were amazingly responsive to my requests and were able to diagnose and repair the problem in less than 24 hours which is important as the unit failed during excessive heat warnings (106-110 in August). Each and every employee I have come into contact with has been vary polite, professional and a genuine pleasure to work with.

The office staff was friendly and helpful. The technicians that came out to diagnose and later repair my air conditioning were on schedule, honest and knowledgeable. Overall, a very positive experience with this company and prices were quite reasonable for the parts and work needed.

Not going well. The service request has been submitted since Monday (07/18/2022). Technicians have come out twice, but issue (no cooling air from AC) has not been resolved. I am working from home and having to endure 100degF heat inside the house is unbearable. I am 65 years old, and my health may deteriorate under this hot condition. Please do your diligence to get the repair done timely.

The 2-star rating is for showing up on time as scheduled.

(08/06/2022): The tech from Brenovations came back and did the repair. The AC is running and cooling so far. I am happy with the repair. They did the work diligently to get it done. 5-star rating is well deserved. Thanks.

UPDATE Nathan was professional, knowledgeable and very respectful. Seems as if there is a disconnect between this company and the home warranty company that caused the lack of follow up.

Marina was professional and knowledgeable. But, the issue I contacted them for was not resolved. I’ve left several messages with no response from the company. I’d like the problem fixed. It shouldn’t matter if I’m using a home warranty for the service.

I put in a service request for a wall mounted (single room) air conditioner that wasn't working after a probable storm surge. Brenovations sent a repair team to my house same day, and within two hours of my request! They fixed the unit quickly and efficiently, and even suggested an easy fix to prevent the same issue from happening in the future. The repair team was friendly and professional. I'll definitely use them again, 5 stars.
