HVAC reviews in Tucson, Arizona

Very quick to arrive at the scene of the mildly sick unit. Very quickly got to the business of diagnosing the illness and quickly gave the unit a slight booster of refrigerant and the unit was back to its normal, cooling and quiet self. Excellent work, response time was exceptional on a Friday afternoon and Josh knows his business. Thank you sir and if I ever need to replace these 2 units you installed 6 years ago I will be calling you!

Josh Evans texted and emailed when he was on his way. Showed up on time. Very professional. He didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. I would definitely recommend him

Just had a new HVAC system installed by Paramedics. I can’t say enough good things about this company. Everyone I dealt with throughout was courteous and on the ball, Joshua who installed everything, Jovani & Malachi in the office, all knowledgeable & very easy to work with.
-
Heating + Air Paramedics are awesome! We had the tech come over to service our furnace and a/c units. Joshua was very honest with us and told us exactly what we needed to do to make sure that our units would work to their full lifespan. We truly appreciated the professionalism and honesty. The yearly membership is a great price as well. It is half of what we pay for another company and includes the same services. The price listed below is the yearly fee as well as the tech visit that we had. The tech visit was $95. We would highly recommend this company!

I spent $425 and my cooler doesn't cool. The service tech said my coils needed to be cleaned $300. Cooler still runs constantly and doesn't cool. I think I was told the coilsneeded to be cleaned so the motor didn't work hard. The motor still constantly runs and of course doesn't cool. Waste of money. Temperature set at 78 degrees and cooler still running at 81 degrees.

Ron Rendon performed maintenance on our units today. He has serviced our units for two years and consistently provides outstanding service! We highly recommend Breezeway for your heating snd cooling needs.

We had a contract for yearly servicing with these people. When the technician, Darryl, came out this last time, in mid-February, he kept trying to upsell us. He said that we needed to take apart the inside part of the heat pump and clean it, at a cost of several hundred dollars, along with other suggestions. We declined. We heard later that the technician only gets paid if he upsells, though I do not know if this is true, and our source was not from this company. When the air conditioner finally got turned on, in April, there was only air blowing. It is a six year old unit, and was working before the yearly service call by BreezeWays. We called a different company, and it turns out that a wire had been disconnected inside the unit and a switch left dangling in the outside unit, both of which appeared to be deliberate. I believe, though, of course, I can not prove, that the technician disconnected both items in order to get us to call them back in. I did not like this technician's attitude toward us to begin with, and then when the airconditioner did not work, wondered if he had sabotaged it, and then come to find these disconnected items. Also, the outside unit was supposed to have been cleaned, but was full of leaves and debris.
If you do use this company, be careful. Even if the owners are honest, if the pay structure is set up in such a way that encourages dishonesty in the technicians, you will be taken advantage of. -
Buyer Beware !!!
Hired breezeways for an ac check and estimate for repair service charge to diagnose $125... Ray Garcia of breezeways
an estimate that condenser needs replaced among other things with estimates $5600 for parts that are 6 weeks out to order to $6500 to replace the ac unit Decided to get a different hvac contractor to give me a second Opinion
Here is the second contractor diagnosis after he also reviewed a copy of my breezeways estimate.
“The contactor was bad not allowing anything to turn on. And the run capacitor was very weak causing high currant draw from the compressor. With the contactor being bad there was no way to even test the fan or the compressor. Also, no way to check the refrigerant charge without both the fan and compressor running. So I replaced both and ran the system. Refrigerant charge was spot on per manufacturer specifications. “
The second contractor fixed my ac in less than an hour and cost less than 10percent of what breezeways attempted to charge for A ac compressor motor or almost 7000 for a new unit. Also breezeways has not responded to my email regarding refund or the issue of their tech giving customers false diagnostics to make a sale -
Yeah!!!My AC is finally working 1st I like to thank David Gonzalez for showing me excellent customer service from the beginning and going above and beyond to makesure I got taken care of. Together with the rest of team: Rachel,Tonya and Shawn I was able to finally get through this nightmare. It's nice to know thier are still people you can trust in...Thank you😊

Jordan was very professional on his visit to provide me with quotes for a new AC system. He took the time to answer all my questions and explained what work would be required. He then provided the quotes on the options we discussed prior to leaving my home. Thanks Jordan!
-
I was totally oversold! Tech convinced me to replace both AC unit and furnace so the SEER ratings would match. Could have simply replaced my 12 SEER AC Unit and done a minor repair to my furnace. Found out they tried the same thing on a friend of mine. He got a second quote and did the job for $4000 less than mine. Highly unethical of Breezeways to upsell in this manner!
EDIT:
As per your response Mr. English, the conversation was between me and your technician.....you were not present and there was nothing in writing. I can confirm for you that I was noT presented an option to repair. I was only presented prices on packages of complete replacement of the AC Unit AND Furnace in 14, 16 and 20 SEER. -
David Gonzalez came out and knew right away what the problem was with our AC. He knows HVACs inside and out! David is also very courteous and explains things in easy-to-understand terms. We like that he takes pictures of areas of concern on and around the unit on our roof. He not only shows them to us, he will put them in our file for future reference.
As they say, a picture tells a thousand words. What a good idea!
The gals in the office are also courteous and knowledge. All in all, we are very pleased with BreezeWays and recommend them highly. -
The company called me the day before the appointment to remind me a technician would be coming the following day. The technician called me when he was on his way to my house. Rob S. wore a mask, which I appreciated. He explained what he was going to do and followed up with information about what he found. Rob S. was pleasant, personable, polite and professional.

Thir technician left my hose running for a day resulting in a $30 increase in my water bill that I expected them to reimburse me for. I spent two months going back and forth with them between them not returning my calls, etc...They finally offered to reimburse me a small fraction of the actual water cost. I further requested a refund of the remainder of my pre-purchased service and they told me there were no reimbursements after thirty days. And of course the only reason it took over thirty days for me to ask for a refund was their poor customer service.
I had been using them for years for service as well as a new unit installation. I've referred several people to them in the past but they have clearly lost the customer focus that they once had. I would not use them ever again. -
Excellent customer service from the technicians to the sales, all the way around. They all went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly for our repair request which turned into a new unit purchase. They even paint matched a repair in our exterior wall which they did not have to do! Thank you and I have already recommended you to others!!
-
Very thorough in examining the system, finding what the problem was, and offering a couple different alternatives to resolve it. A wonderful experience (other than needing to call in the first place, of course)! Very professional. We love Breezeways. We've dealt with other companies through the years, and Breezeways BY FAR is the best!
-
My perception is that I over paid for their maintenance plan and now, as I was a little fearful of, they found a problem that would cost us $1200. (A new fan motor and another part). I think this company grossly marks up parts, and tries to compel customers to replace them whether they really need to or not. Thus, I'll go elsewhere! Re. Reply, I know I've had Breezeways do some work for us, so that is strange...also, the reason I did this review is because they kept texting me for a review. I didn't want to initially because I had no kind words for them. They just did the "maintenance" yesterday where they came up with this $1200.00 estimate.

Update: 1.9.2020
I have been assured on this subsequent visit that there is no leak in my system. I am still concerned about why a pound of freon was required for the unit to cool. Also not real happy a fee was required on that visit. This is a relatively new top of the line Lennox system, installed by you. No problems were found, but freon was required?
FYI, This post is from last year and has been waiting. This review has nothing to do with the latest service.
Update: 4.21.2020
Jordan was the technician to show up today after I reported this relatively new Lennox system was not cooling again. Jordan seemed very knowledgeable about the system and how it operates. He made changes to the setup and AGAIN had to add freon to this system! 2lbs. was reported. I am still worried that the system is leaking freon, but he assures me that it is not and if it is they will find the leak next time. I am counting on it. Leak detection experts were here last Summer and assured me it is not leaking. How does it need freon again. This high-end system was installed by Breezeways the Summer of 2016. It should not be causing me this much trouble. The system is working again. I gained some knowledge about it. Jordan was a great help. Let's just hope it holds out and does not continue to fail us.
Thanks, Kirk
Update 8.4.2020
Again, this A/C unit is not cooling. Contacted Breezeways, technician Richard shows up on 7/30/2020. Nice guy, appeared to be very thorough. Discovers that I am low on freon again, 2lbs! This is since April, just over 3 months ago they were here and added freon. This time the technician is able to locate the leak in the a-coil. Technician leaves without adding any freon to investigate warranty status of the unit which was installed 4 years ago, June 2020. Breezeways sold this unit to me and installed it. Freon has been required every year since. They previously sent 'expert' leak finders with no luck. I paid over $12K for this unit, while the heat has never been a problem, the freon is low every year. They charge dearly for the freon. They did absorb the cost last time. This unit is serviced by Breezeways twice a year, Spring and Fall as recommended. Now 4 years later they finally locate the leak. The coil is still under warranty by Lennox/ADP. The labor is no longer under warranty. Breezeways is demanding $1400 for the labor, which I have disputed with them since if they had located the leak in a timely manner, this labor would have been under warranty. The dispute has not worked well. They decided there is no dispute and have sent a certified letter, threatening a lien on my home if I do not pay immediately. Okay, I think they give me 10 days, but they also charge me $50 for the letter. I can no longer recommend this company. I've been with them for probably 10 years, not exactly sure. I plan to contact ROC and BBB to see if there is any possibility of some retribution. They have some kind employees, but I'd avoid Breezeways.

The work of Ray G was excellent! He did several things that had never been done by previous agents through the years. He explained what he was doing, and why so I could clearly understand. I would prefer Ray to all others that have been sent to my house in years past.
-
I recently had my 6-month service completed by Chandler Langworthy. He was very professional & did a great job. I've been with Breezeways for many years & never had complaints. I highly recommend them.

David Gonzalez was here for regular semi annual check on the air conditioner. He saw that the compressor and fan needed to be replaced. Indeed, the noise when the unit came on was a bit loud before. He returned today and installed the new compressor. He is personable and I enjoyed working with him. Kudos to David for doing a good job!
