My air conditioner stopped working and our appliance warranty company 210 Home Warranty (who I highly recommend) sent out Mechanical Forced Air to do the inspection and repair.

The technician showed me a breaker at the bottom of the condenser that had tripped and when he pressed the button the air conditioner went on and continued to stay on. He checked the system and said that everything looked good all the measurements were in range and that there was no Freon leak.

I told him that there must have been some reason for the breaker to have flipped (I'm an electrical engineer but not an electrician). He said that they may have used the newer Freon replacement, and they may have gummed up the system. I said maybe the old motor's bearings had worn out. He didn't think so. He said that there was nothing else that he could check but strongly advised me to buy a new unit. I explained to him that I would much rather fix something small rather than pay him the $10,000 that he was suggesting.

He said that there was nothing that he could do and left. Well, about 4 hours later the breaker tripped and when I turned it back on, I could hear a lot of noise coming from what I suspected was the motor. I put in another call to them, and he came out and gave me a strong pitch to buy a new unit. I explained everything that I had experienced including the noises coming from the motor when I started the unit right after it failed. I told him that I still thought that the bearings were bad and he came back with the pitch that he can't do anything more and that I should buy a new unit.

The arguments that he gave me about having to replace the Freon could be a couple of thousand dollars and it just wasn't worth repairing the condenser. Some of his arguments didn't make any sense, especially why he would have to replace the Freon if he was only replacing a motor.

There is good news to this story. 210 sent out Ceaser from Georges Heating and Air Conditioning. I described my analysis of the situation and without missing a beat he said that it sounded like the bearings on the motor were worn out, but it could be something more serious.

Guess what? It was a worn-out motor, and he replaced it on the spot. No pitch for a new unit. He was here for less than an hour and my repair was covered by 210 Home Warranty, and I am sitting in a comfortable family room.

Bottom line: Mechanical Forced Air is a very unethical company!!!

Good bid for our project backed by LG brand. Can't go wrong with LG. Professionally installed anerified by Carl, our project manager. The Montana connection was worth extra points.

Carl came and gave me a good estimate for a new A/C. The problem? I called to order it and had to keep calling and calling -- after a week and a half I gave up and just went with someone else. I paid a little more, but if they can't return a call when they're selling a new unit, how bad is it going to be if I call them on a 105 degree day and the A/Cs not working? Do better, Mechanical Forced Air.

I had to have a contractor out to fix the many issues with the 2 year old system they sold me and installed. There were several holes leaking air, and the unit is actually pulling in hot air and making my walls very hot. I’ve never been able to get the furnace cover back on when I replace the filters, and the contractor told me it’s not even the right cover for the unit. The issues just go on and on. They sold me subpar equipment with a bad installation, ruined my walls, and left. As an older woman who lives alone, I feel totally taken advantage of.

I would recommend Carl to anyone because of his honesty, excellent service and professionalism. Our A/C system started blowing warm air. Carl came on time, checked everything thoroughly and found no problems. The system cools great now! He said perhaps a power surge may have triggered a cut-off switch.
He did not charge for the service call because it was brief. Wow! What great service!

People at Mechanical Force Air are easy to work with. There was no pressure and there were multiple options to select with clear explanation of each choice. The A/C and Heating System installation was on time and completed smoothly with a very affordable price.

Carl do d an amazing job and communicated really well. I would recommend them to anyone needing an Air conditioning worked on.

He worked quickly but still took the time to explain everything in detail so I understood what was going on. Tyler also gave me great advice for maintaining my system moving forward. Alaskan Air is a great company and Jacob makes the company even greater. He's quick, efficient, kind, and he knows what he's doing. He took pictures of all the components he was talking about in the health report, explained everything in layman's terms, and offered great suggestions on what to do to help keep our AC working to the best of its abilities.
