We recently returned from a trip and discovered our 5 year old hot water heater burst and caused a pipe to burst because of pressure. We called Rooter King because they originally installed the hot water heater. They were there within the hour, called a remediation team that was also there within the hour and took action. Without them I'm not sure what we would have done. They were very responsive, professional and worked quickly to solve our issue. We highly recommend them.

When you are in the midst of a disaster you need people who can get the job done and get the job done fast.

At first contact Rooter King started to work immediately at figuring out how to remedy the problem and get my family back in our home. Without the hard work of their technicians working tirelessly to finish, we would have been unable to use our home for even longer. They were able to fully repipe my home and fixtures on time and with a smile.

This company was sent out by our home warranty company. While the guy that was sent out was very friendly, that was where it ended. The upsell mentality was awful. Immediately claimed that our simple water heater replacement required an additional $970 to get the install up to code. Amazing that this was claimed to be required on a new home. Never again. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

We've used Rooter King twice now, one small job covered by the home warranty, and a big job replacing our main water line not covered by warranty. They have been prompt, professional, and effective with both. The larger job had guys at our house for days and I didn't mind having them there at all- they worked hard and were polite. I would use them again for any plumbing related repairs!

Had a kitchen sink water leak and contacted our home warranty company and we were assigned Rooter King for service. When I went online to look at the company, I was a little frightened after reading a few of the reviews that were associated with home warranty companies.

We were given a pretty large arrival window of sometime between 2 and 6.... But we received a call just before 4 and advised that our plumber was on his way but that he was coming from across town with a 40 minute ETA.

Jacob, arrived and was very friendly and professional. We literally have a family emergency occurring right now and I explained to Jacob that I spent all night at the hospital and that I had a lot on my mind right now and if it would be ok hovering over him asking questions and just talking to him to take things off my mind. He laughed and said that it would be fine.

Jacob was able to identify the problem right away and fix the issue all while having me right there in his ear the whole time as well as getting me to chuckle a few times, which was greatly appreciated!! If we have any future plumbing issues, I would definitely call them back and request Jacob for my service!!

Whatever you are paying Jacob, it's not enough and he should definitely get a raise!

Rooter King Plumbing LLC came to our house based on a call to our home warranty company, American Home Shield. I paid $125 for this service call through American Home Shield. Rooter King did a review of our 40 gallon water heater, which was slightly leaking at the top inlet. It definitely needed replacement given it was 22 years old. The Rooter King Representative indicated that the cost of the water heater and installation was covered by my warranty but all the code upgrades were not. Those supposed code grades were going to cost us $905 with Rooter King. He detailed the items requiring code upgrades:
• Will need to replumb T&P drain line to new vent
• Will need to replumb water inlet and outlet to new unit installed
• Will need to refit venting system to new unit
• Will need to install new unit within codes and permit
Now these supposed code upgrades did not sound right so I searched the internet for local water heater codes and installation videos. Everything I saw indicated that the first 3 items were all part of a normal installation and not specific to code requirements. The last one did not provide any specificity, but my research suggested I needed to spend $71.20 for an aluminum drain pan to go under the unit, a gas line sediment trap, some miscellaneous items, plus $35 for the permit. So for $106.20, not $905, my water heater installation PASSED INSPECTION.
I was furious this Rooter King Representative had apparently tried to take advantage of an older man. Nor could I believe that American Home Shield used Rooter King as one of their contractors. I complained to American Home Shield but they were not interested in addressing. They were only willing to send me a check for about half of what it would cost to buy a similar water heater and have it installed. They didn’t know that I have some mechanical skills and isn’t YouTube great. Needless to say, American Home Warranty is no longer a company with whom I do business and I strongly recommend against Rooter King to my friends.

I can't say enough positive things about our experience with this company. We had 3 faucet problems that I expected to be an expensive undertaking. Jacob came on two different occasions and did a wonderful job and we couldn't be happier. We are SO appreciative of his excellent work and for the quality of service we received from Rooter King Plumbing. Thank you for making our lives so much better!

I left review w american home warranty and want to make sure google knows what a life saver this company was today. I put in request last night, pretty bad leak under kitchen sink, they called first thing this am to schedule same day apt. that alone was amazing, took a noon slot. with in minutes pipe busted and water everywhere, Rooter triaged that situation and had tech at my house in minutes. I was panicked and seriously felt helpless. hate to admit this but i didnt even know where valve was to shut off water. my tech was professional and had calming presence while i was chaotic trying to leave for work. dogs running around and he was even kind to my dog not bothered. I never leave reviews , this needs acknowledgment. thank you, kim sylvester

Rooter King Plumbing is THE BEST! My main line backed up, which means no toilets, showers, dishwasher, washing machine, etc. I had a home warranty with American Home Shield and I called them for service, which after 4 hours of waiting, AHS informed me "none of their contractors were responding so they were not able to assign my urgent need". Thus I was forced to take matters in to my own hands and had used Rooter King once before. I called Rooter King at 2 p.m. and by 4 p.m. my main line was cleared and my house was back in working order. And the price charged was exceptional, especially for an "emergency". I spoke with Jesus who was amazing and super personable and Jerry came and did the work. And Jerry was super efficient and great to work with! I will not use any other plumbers but Rooter King from now on!

David was very nice. Needed roof access but there isn’t one. Will come back to install clean-out and complete job.

Staff was prompt and explained the plumbing and gas line conditions! Outstanding customer service.

Edit: Noticed the response from the owner just now, thanking me for my review. Can't help seeing that it's the canned response they provide for every negative review, including some much worse experiences than mine. No real response, no explanation, no attempts to resolve the issue(s). That should tell you a lot about how things would go with this company if a mistake gets made (and EVERY company occasionally messes up. The good ones just try to make it right)

Had a very frustrating interaction with this company. My hot water tank began leaking, so I called my home warranty company to file a claim. They sent out Rooter King to check things out.

The guy shows up on time, super polite, everything seems fine. They agree the water heater needs to be replaced. American Home Shield then calls me and informs me that they will cover the cost to "replace and dispose of the hold heater and install the new heater" but they won't cover "modification costs" But okay, this water heater is only 8 years old, I figure any needed modifications will be minimal.

The guy from Rooter King then tells me the cost of the "modifications" they want to do - $720. That's half the normal cost to just buy and install a water heater out of pocket! I tell him that sounds incredibly high, and I ask him just what modifications he needs to do. He says "any time we crank on the gas inlet pipe, or water inlet, we have to replace it. We have to pull the permits every time" He makes it clear that this work is necessary every time a hot water heater is installed.

I then ask him "Okay, so how are these "modification" costs instead of just installation costs?" He can't answer. I have no idea what Rooter King is trying to pull with this, but I assume they get paid very little from American Home Shield. So maybe they're tacking on a bunch of inflated costs that they're calling mods instead of installation, I don't know.

In any case, I obviously didn't go with them. I'm in the process of getting a 2nd opinion after the holidays and just getting a quote to install out of pocket so I can compare what the "modification" costs will be on these other quotes.

Company was dispatched thru my home warranty company. Being a weekend I didn’t expect to hear from them til Monday but they came out less than 24 hours from time of dispatch. Jerry the tech was knowledgeable, friendly and able to get the job done. Really appreciate the fast response to avoid the hassle of dealing with leaking water all weekend.

5 stars for service and the technicians. Javier and his team were professional, efficient, and were able to correctly diagnose, explain and fix the issue. Rooter King is now my go to for any future plumbing problems!

I'm extremely impressed with RK Plumbing! They are incredibly professional and knowledgeable. They were able to help us with a problem with our water heater that another company wasn't able to fix despite coming out multiple times over the course of a year. Super responsive! We will absolutely use them again should other plumbing issues arise or we want to upgrade something.

Javier always is so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He's done work in our kitchen and guest bathroom. Had he not detected water under our kitchen floorboards, we would have had a much bigger mess, including possible mold.

Santos was absolutely amazing. He came in, spotted the problem and got it fixed within 20 minutes. It was incredible. His communication was excellent and his professionalism was top notch. This experience at Rooter King Plumbing was hands-down the best plumbing experience I have ever had.
