Great experience with Cali HVAC for our recent heat pump upgrade. Oleg provided a comprehensive assessment of our current HVAC system and proposed an affordable alternative to our old roof mounted dual fuel gas heater and electric A/C. Andre, Daniel, and Tom installed our new system quickly and efficiently. Definitely recommend this company for anyone in the Bay Area looking to upgrade their system.

As the weather started getting cold, I decided it was time to test my old gas furnace, and I found that it would not heat up - the igniter came on, but no gas was supplied. This happened a few years before, but I got it going by banging on the gas valve with my screwdriver handle, as it was turning on, and I got it to work for a few years. This time, though, it just would not work, so I called Cali HVAC after checking reviews here and elsewhere. Oleg came out within a day, spent at least an hour or more and found that the circuit board was not sending the voltage to turn on the valve, so he got a new board, installed it, and now the valve itself would not fire. So I needed both the board and the valve. They did not charge me for the extensive service call, unlike many others.

Before deciding what to do, I called a couple of other companies to get a ballpark estimate assuming this was the problem, and they were both higher, so I accepted Cali's bid. It took them a day to get the part, and Oleg returned to my house and replaced the parts, with no surprises.

Not only were they responsive in coming out, but he always came when he said he would, and messaged me when on the way. He was very informative, and explained everything he did to determine the problem. Long ago I worked doing electronic repairs to stereo equipment, including fixing and modifying high end test equipment for Ray Dolby's personal equipment ( he was the inventor of Dolby Noise Reduction). So I know a bit about testing, and I performed the same tests as Oleg to confirm the problem. So I know they didn't oversell the service. I could have probably done some or all of the work myself, but I have no experience with gas appliances, and didn't want to learn at my age (I'm retired for 10 years).

These professionals gave me peace of mind even though I was a little hesitant to install a small split system in my home. They guided me through every step of the procedure, from selecting the ideal equipment to installing it. The system is operating flawlessly, and the task was completed effectively. The silent functioning and energy efficiency are fantastic. I appreciate your work well done!

What a great crew and company! I will be using this vendor for all future furnace related issues. I could tell this was the vendor to go with when he told me I didn’t need to replace the furnace and that nothing was wrong with it. I still replaced it and the crew was in and out. They replaced my furnace and upgraded the mounting station so it’s fully secure! The crew was just two people, they did a great job, and they cleaned and wrapped everything up. I brought this company on to help with my HVAC estimate and after being provided a couple of misleading quotes I had so much misinformation I believed I need a whole new HVAC system. DANIEL walks in , very matter of factly assessed my system and within a short period of time diagnosed and repaired my HVAC charging me only $400! I wish the outcome could have been better news about our heating unit but overall the tech was good. We did ask for a new smart thermometer to be installed and that was done. We found out that wasn't the problem with no heat tho. Will have to check around for the best price for that.

I called several 24/7 HVAC company Friday night to schedule for a AC unit repair. None of local willing to do it for Saturday although their diagnostic visit cost were hight. I call Cali they schedule me for Saturday morning and 5 min later I received the schedule confirmation text. Saturday morning I received another text telling me technician is on the way. Technician repair my AC unit. He was very friendly and professional and give me some idea about potential cost for future upgrading my AC system. I highly recommend Cali
