HVAC reviews in Hayward, California

I'm not sure what happened after new owners took over Bay Area Climate Control earlier this year, but it sure seems like a lot of things fell through the cracks. Here's what happened..
A few years ago Bay Area Climate Control installed my house's A/C and heat systems. I decided to call them earlier this week because we needed the heating and cooling balanced throughout the house. I sent an inquiry through their website stating that issue and later received a call to schedule for a technician to come out. When the technician came out, he asked me what the issue was and I told him it was an imbalance of heat/cool air. He said that he doesn't do that and would need installation technicians as they work on the ductwork. He went on the explain issues with older houses and the systems they may have from decades ago. So that told me that the office didn't relay to the technician that they actually installed my system a few years ago, which I was very surprised about. On top of that, they obviously didn't read what my inquiry was about. The system units were working, it was just imbalanced, but sent someone to repair the units. In the end, he contacted the office and told them the situation.
I received a call from the office later and told me they're going to send out a technician at 4pm the same day, which I agreed to. I made an appoint to rush to pick up my kids from school to make sure I make it home by 4. I waited and waited but no one ever showed up and even worse I never received a call from anyone. This is mainly what I'm not happy about. I wanted to see today if anyone was going to call. No call. I don't even know if they realized that no one showed up. So now I'm not sure if I should contact a different company because they didn't seem to care about a customer that they installed a system for. I get that with new owners/management things may happen, but to not receive a call (or even a text!) for when no one shows up does not go well with me.
My rating before 2024 of Bay Area Climate Control would be 5 star, but currently it's a 1 star.

We had an unfortunate delay of more than 2 months for outdoor compressor unit, apparently due to "unavailability." But other than that, very solid workmanship, and excellent technical expertise, as well as communication.
When we needed some additional ventilation duct work, independently of the mini split installation, Ryan made it happen quickly and professionally, for a very reasonable price.

These guys were excellent. What turned out to be user error had been causing issues for my tenant for months. They diagnosed it immediately and didn’t even charge me. Outstanding service.

The prior owners of our home used Bay Area Climate Control for installation of our gas furnace. When it recently stopped working, we gave them a call. Scheduling a next day appointment was easy. The technician Constantine was professional. He arrived promptly, and he quickly diagnosed and fixed our furnace problem due to condensation buildup in one of the tubes - when be cleared it out everything was working again! We highly recommend Bay Area Climate control!

The technician was very helpful, diagnosing problems in the furnace quickly and suggesting a fix right away. And he fixed it ! Also nice to answer my related questions. I got the heating in my house working again in the first visit by the service technician. Good service. Thank you.

Really great service today by Constantine. Booking was really easy and he arrived at 11:15 (appt window from 11-1). Have a newborn at home and really needed to make sure our heater was working for these winter months. He was super helpful in finding the issue and fixing it quickly for us!

Bay clearly explained what the issue was, what needed to be done to fix it, and answered all of our questions along the way.
