North HVAC stands out among others HVAC contractors that I considered because of their professionalism, excellent communication, and responsiveness. From the initial visit where Chris patiently answered all my questions to the careful planning of the project to the installation to the clean up afterwards, I couldn't be happier with their work. They took care of the permitting process and Lila was so helpful that she found rebates that I was eligible for and provided me with the paperwork and walked me through the forms.
The heat pump itself is great, whisper quiet, uses very little electricity, and now I have air conditioning when it's hot and/or smoky outside. If your old gas furnace is on its last legs as mine was, you should strongly consider a heat pump and North HVAC to install it!

Paul arrived on time, thoughtfully assessed the problem and diagnosed it efficiently. He was able to replace the part that failed and get us up and running again on short order. Reasonably priced and explained everything patiently too.

I'm very impressed with North HVAC, which is helping us plan an energy-efficient heat pump HVAC system for our home in Mill Valley. Their co-owner, Chris Burke, is very knowledgeable about heat pump HVACs and has installed them for years. He's very responsive to our needs, and is helping us evaluate the trade-offs between ducted vs. ductless solutions. We're still a few weeks away from making a final decision, but I wanted to post this favorable review right away, to recognize his thoughtful contributions to planning our project. :)

This company is almost too good to be true. The people are nice. The work they do is efficient and high quality. The prices are fair. They show up when they say they will. As a person who's been around for a while, they feel like a throwback to the old days, when humans related to each other in very human, kind ways. So refreshing! I am now a loyal fan for life! Ivan, Carlos Jairo, and Rafael were an incredible team: respectful of our home (as the rain poured down) while installing a work of art (our heat pump). Thanks to everyone, especially Leila and Chris, who spent hours answering our MANY questions! After contacting six different companies to get bids on installing a heat pump in our home, North HVAC Services came out on top for value, customer service and honesty--we could not be more pleased with the final result. Update—They did a great job on our new furnace- Very careful to install the new ducts and figure out a solution for a zoned heating system. They were pleasant to have around and very respectful.

Previous-Chris came to our house to give us a bid for a new zoned gas furnace. He really listened to what I wanted and spent time walking around the house and underneath the house assessing our needs. We appreciate the time and thought he put it into our bid -and are confident that they would do a good job.

We cannot say enough about how great North HVAC Services is! We replaced our very old furnace and air-conditioning units with a Mitsubishi state of the art Heat Pump, including all new ductwork. This is a family owned business (another plus) and Chris was extremely knowledgeable, answering all our questions with patience. His wife, Lila, manages the office and was expert at getting us the best rebates possible. Ian, and his crew, are highly skilled technicians who did the job in 3 days. Ian, especially, was a great foreman and explained in detail what was being done each day. We could not have asked for a better team for the installation. Finally, we highly recommend the Mitsubishi Heat Pump. Running on electricity rather than gas, it's very efficient and will save a lot on gas bills. This is a wonderful company and we're very confident you will be equally pleased with their work!

The whole experience from start to finish was awesome! The owner, Chris, came out for the estimate and talked about things that other companies did not even mention. Once we decided to use North HVAC, Chris came back out with his project manager, Ivan, and went over things again to make sure we were all on the same page. Once the project started, Ivan came out with his team, Carlos and Pedro, and installed two mini splits along with a new central furnace and AC unit. They were incredibly polite, professional and hard working. They covered the floors and furniture to prevent any dirt or damage from occurring.

Ivan was extremely helpful in explaining everything that they were doing and providing solutions to small issues that came up during the install. He was super patient with all of our questions and concerns about the install. Their work was extremely detailed which is hard to find these days. Paul came out to finish the thermostat install and he was also very polite and knowledgeable. Lila, who scheduled everything, was very accommodating and such a nice person to talk with.

The entire project was so pleasant that we would give it 10 stars if we could! North HVAC Services was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive, but definitely worth every penny! Would highly recommend them for your HVAC needs!

I can't describe how happy I am with North HVAC Services. This is the trustworthy service that every customer expects. They offer the most honest service compared to many other companies that come to your home looking for sales opportunities. North HVAC Services Inc. not only tested the appliances and equipment, but also repaired the surface lines cut by a technician from a previous company, and charged me only for the tests they had promised, and taught me how to coordinate control of the three thermostats installed in the three-story house. If I have any problems with my equipment in the future, I will definitely call them first!

Paul is an excellent technician and great guy. North HVAC is our go to company for all of our AC and heating needs. They are super reliable and very reasonably priced.

Spoke with Leela to schedule a visit and she pretty much diagnosed the problem and sent Paul with appropriate parts. Paul was VERY knowledgeable and fixed it in a few minutes. Price was great and the initial service fee is way under the competition. I highly recommend these folks! They have their act together! We’re going to ask them to bid on installing a heat pump system for us.

The estimate visit was excellent. Chris clearly knows his business, carefully examined our home’s layout, and made some very sensible recommendations. He clearly was thinking about selling us what is best for our family and gave me some cost – saving advice, as well.

North HVAC installed three Mitsubishi split heating and air conditioning units in the upstairs room in my home. The price was competitive and the service was awesome. The work was done timely and professionally. There was one issue that came up and how it was resolved is why I highly recommend North HVAC. During the installation a power line in the garage ceiling was shorted out and I lost power to certain areas of my kitchen. The short was caused not by North HVAC but due to the power line not being properly installed before I purchased my home. North HVAC responded immediately and spent an entire day diagnosing and fixing the issue at no additional cost to me. I am grateful for their exemplary service. They stand behind everything they do.
