I cannot recommend Castle Heating & Air highly enough. Richard and his team just installed a 3-ton Bosch HVAC system, including brand new duct work with seven registers, compressor/heat pump, pad and attic-mounted air handler at my 1950-built house. They also installed a Mitsubishi ductless mini-split system in a part of the house where duct work could not be run. The entire job took a week, and work commenced within two business days of signing the quote.

They couldn’t be more pleasant to work with and their workmanship was top notch. They also kept the entire house clean as they went, even when cutting holes in the ceiling for the air return and registers. Castle was the most competitive price I got from among five different companies as well, including Costco. I would hire them again without hesitation.

This review is one-year in the making. My apologies to Richard and his team for this delay. August 2024, Richard and his team replaced our aging heating system and added air-conditioning. After speaking with several other companies, Richard was hands down the guy to go with. All communications leading up to install was clear, accurate and on point. Since having our system over a year we've had no issues and enjoyed a warm cozy home during the winter and a cool place to relax on warmer days. Hands down, if you're looking for HVAC service please consider Castle Heating and Air, you wont be disappointed.

So happy I made the investment to upgrade my hvac with Richard!

We had just bought our home and noticed there was something’s off with our air and heating system. Richard came out promptly and let us know of the issues and hazard our old Unit was causing. I know nothing about this but loved how he was able to explain it to me in a manner that was simple and easy for me To understand.

we schedule for a new hvac system and ducting to improve airflow so that we can keep our house heated and cooled when needed.

It’s been night and the day the difference we have seen and felt since upgrading our whole system!

Now when I run my ac the house actually cools down evenly and the airflow is actually felt unlike how it Had been before we did the upgrade.

In this cold December days I’ve been able
To stay warm and keep my house toasty without the need of constant small space
Heaters I was running almost all day.

Yes, it was an investment but as a homeowner I’m so grateful for their professionalism, keeping their job site clean (I’m a bit of a clean freak lol) while
Doing this mayor upgrade.

We are now all able to be comfortable at
Home and no more nagging from the kids about how cold the house is. I can be at home comfortably without worrying about what the weather is doing.

I’m so glad we decided to go with them! the skill and quality of work is seen.

I was worried about not being able to feel or see the results but oh it’s been a huge!! I can feel the upgrade to keeping our home at a constant temperature.

This is the one upgrade I don’t regret investing in.

Richard and his team installed a new heat pump system (heating and AC), and replaced all the under floor ducting in our San Rafael home. Richard and his team are great - professional, responsive, knowledgeable, fair, and friendly. Our system is performing as expected and we are very happy to have worked with the Castle team.

When our furnace was nearing end-of-life, we reached out to Castle for quotes on a replacement, a heat pump, and a dual fuel system, with some redesign of our duct work in the furnace room. We really wanted to go with a heat pump, but due to some circumstances that are unique to our house, we decided to go with a gas furnace replacement. We didn't make a decision right away, and Richard would check in with us on occasion, but wasn't pushy at all. Then, when our furnace gave out completely (in the middle of a cold snap in December), he was able to revise our quote quickly. We took three other bids; Castle's was the best on price and we liked their maintenance program, which we plan on purchasing. We also appreciated the time taken with us to answer questions and commit to a timely install. Key to decision was their proposal to a required change in furnace configuration and redesign / alteration of the ductwork. Even though we were in the midst of the holiday season, Castle committed to get the job done before Christmas, and did just that. The install team was professional and efficient, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

Ongaro & Sons replaced my 26 year old HVAC system. They did an excellent, fast job. All staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Good finance terms were offered to spread the cost over time.

The knowledge and professionalism of Lake Romelli was outstanding. I wished to be educated on the furnace system potential failure risks, and Lake walked me through this topic with care and clarity. He is well trained and demonstrated his expertise. Great on-site customer service as well. I highly recommend Ongaro and Sons based on staff trust.

David did a great job diagnosing and addressing a stubborn kitchen sink stoppage. We first reached out to a national chain who was much more expensive and did not fix the issue. David was able to use a snake and scrubber to alleviate the issue at a fair price. I would call them again and recommend them.

Ongaro replaced our furnace 23 yrs ago and it was time to replace it again. It had a few major repairs that needed immediate attention. Decided to just replace it with Ongaro again. This furnace may outlast me. Installation was scheduled he next week and done in one day. New furnace and new ducts too. The quote from Nicholas was very fair. Made my decision easy to go with Ongaro again.

Dominic was great at identifying the problem and solving it, then giving us follow up instructions to avoid future problems. (We forgot to change the filter!)
He is prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and just a good guy.
We've been very satisfied over the years with the installation and servicing of both our gas heater and then our heat pump (a duel system, so the gas heater kicks in if it gets below 40 degrees or if there is ever a problem with the heat pump, which there hasn't been.)
We love the heat pump as it's much cleaner, more efficient, and economical (especially since we have solar, so we pay nothing each month to PG&E).

Ongaro & Sons did an excellent job repairing my tankless water heater system. Their technician (Gino) handled my repairs professionally, quickly and within my budget. I highly recommend Ongaro & Son’s for all your plumbing, heating and A/C needs!

The Ongaro service team was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They explained the scope of the project, potential problems and work arounds. They finished our furnace install quickly and removed all debris. Very happy with the job and the price.

I recently had a new heat pump installed at my home. The system was dual fuel (gas & electric) which was to swithch to gas when the weather was very cold. Unfortunately the techs who installed the HP were not able to get the thermostat to work properly. Two follow up service visits got the system working but not switching between gas & electric properly. On the third call, Chris Juvencio to troubleshoot the problem. He quickly indentified the problems being the wrong model thermostat and a missing sensor to read the outside temperature. Chris was very personable and professional and clearly explained the issues to me. He even followed up a few days later to confirm the everything was working properly.

While my overall experience with Ongaro installing our HP system has not been totaly positive, I highly recommend Chris's work and will request him again should I need any HVAC maintenace. Note: The star rating is specically for Chris.

Roger Hunter our service person from Ongaro was competent, thorough and personable. We had a number of electrical issues throughout the home. He listened to us, asked smart questions and completed each job. It was a Friday afternoon and he worked cheerfully and patiently past 6 o’clock, even when I continued to remember one more thing. He helped us get all of the lightbulbs we needed to fit the electrical features and We enjoyed speaking with him. I will definitely ask for Roger in the future for our electrical fixes!

This was possibly the best service I've ever had for anything. The technicians, Salvador and Umberto, were right on time, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. They completed the job in less time than anticipated, left the place spotlessly clean, and were very helpful in explaining things. I can't say enough good things about the service and the price was actually less than other quotes I had received.

Ongaro & Sons installed a new furnace for us. We got a competitive price quote and they were able to install two days later, all during our December cold weather. Dominic and Ethan arrived on time and completed the work in just a few hours. They cleaned up well and now we are nice and warm.

UPDATE:

They did such great work on my insulation so I hired them to add some circuits to my electrical panel. Roger did the work for me and he quickly rejiggered my ask to be a much smarter and straightforward installation. Really great work.

I worked with Ongaro and Sons to blow in some insulation for my attic. They arrived a little outside the time they had originally told me BUT they called and told me they were running late. The work itself was done well and came in under the original estimate. The crew was very nice and did a nice job cleaning up afterwards.

Jeremiah and Omar were excellent. We needed rewiring of our smoke detectors and bathroom outlets. They were on time, clean, and conscious of our indoor animals. They completed the tasks and cleaned up after they were finished! Thank you to both for their excellent and professional work!

From start to finish my experience with Ongaro was professional and pleasant. The office staff was friendly and prompt. My electrician, Roger, was polite and a great electrician. He did a really good job on the multiple items we had over a 7 hour day. We definitely recommend Ongaro and will be using them for our HVAC too.

The installer, Jeff Graham was professional and very customer friendly. He answered my questions and provided additional information I was not considering like how to get hot water quicker to the sinks and shower at the end of the house. I would definitely use Ongaro & Sons again.
