Getting estimates on our minor (under $10K) backyard landscaping project was a challenge from the beginning, but we had a great experience working with Black Diamond. Lacy had great ideas about how to re-work the space and was good about helping me get a 'feel for' what things could potentially look like. We ended up going with a different contractor for budget reasons, but truly appreciated the professionalism of Black Diamond and would consider them again for future projects.

Black Diamond did an excellent job coordinating and finishing our backyard landscape project. From start to finish Lacy Valenzuela was easy to work with and very accommodating, especially helping us stay under budget. Max and his team completed the work quickly and perfectly, and Brooke and Tony were tremendous behind the scenes. My partner and I could not be happier with how everything turned out, we highly recommend Black Diamond.

After talking with several companies and getting estimates, we decided on Black Diamond. Richard, our designer/sales rep was very easy to work with and took the time to talk about and show us all the options available. The work crew were skilled craftspeople completing every aspect of the job to perfection while being respectful of the property and cleaning up everything before leaving. They replaced our old cracked patio and did such a great job, we had them back to replace our driveway and walkway.
If a higher rating was possible, they'd get it.

Everything was great. The quality of the workman and Ray were really above board. I would recommend them to anyone. The paver stones and additional landscaping is excellent. They even did the concrete that they normally don't do. GREAT !!!!

I would like to provide a review on the quality of work by Lacy Valenzuela, Project Design Specialist with Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape, Inc. Lacy and her team did an incredible job of interpreting a very rough hand written diagram that I provided her with the vision and dream we had for our new backyard. It is a more intimate yard that includes a pergola, small water feature, storage building and landscape that suits this smaller space. Lacy took the time to listen to our desires and wishes for this space including thoughts about hardscape, barbecue area, plants and irrigation. She really listened to what we wanted the end product to look like and at the end of the day she provided us with exactly what we were looking for. We are very appreciative of her insights as well as relied on her experience in horticulture and design. We highly recommend her for your next landscaping project.

Amazing work! These people are REALLY good at what they do. They were clean, professional, and went above and beyond! A+++ Ray was amazing - he did everything that he said he would and more, he was communicative (we received texts and email updates as well as personal phone calls to make sure we were happy with the process), professional, friendly, and caring. I can't say enough about how happy I am with they way they look. They were even caring enough to make sure that the surface was even with our ramp entry so my wheelchair would not "catch" when I rolled over it. Our job was a bit complicated, but they were efficient with their time and worked VERY hard! It was done in TWO days! I couldn't believe the transformation it such a SHORT period of time. I'm so pleased with the results! I HIGHLY recommend working with Ray and this company!

Black Diamond Pavers installed a pergola in our side yard patio and it turned out fantastic. Our project manager Lacy Valenzuela helped us pick out the right product for our needs and our contractor Anthony completed the project in only a few hours. Their entire team was a pleasure to work with, including our coordinator Haylee and the Two Tonys up in management. This was the second project that they’ve completed in our neighborhood and we would highly recommend them for yours.

Tony, Temo, Juan and Haylee did a great job with our backyard remodel! The pavers are beautiful and functional, well planned and expertly installed. Tony and his team were amazing! The most impressive thing is their scheduling process and just getting the work done quickly and when they said they would do it! I have had many contractors do work for me and it's usually a full-time job to try and manage the project, but Tony and his team showed up, and did a fantastic job with our paver project! We love the result and have spent many hours outside enjoying the back yard!

My husband and I decided to renovate our backyard. We knew what we wanted or so we thought. We had the pleasure of working with Brett Eaton. He was so knowledgeable, honest and kind. During our consultation Brett listened to what we wanted and asked for our budget. What we were asking for didn’t fit our budget. Rather than brush us Brett shared our vision and provided some suggestions within our budget. We got our backyard done in a timely manner even with changes in the weather. Our backyard came out better than we envisioned and we are so grateful to Brett for helping us achieve our dream backyard.

We are thrilled with the remarkable transformation of our backyard. Trisa was wonderful to work with and guided us seamlessly from inception to completion, with planning the layout, coordinating delivery of the materials, and making sure the project was running smoothly.
Given our hectic work schedules and inability to be on-site, it was extremely helpful to have Trisa’s help being the project manger and coordinating everything. Throughout the process, the entire team demonstrated utmost consideration, leaving no mess behind and causing no inconvenience to our neighbors. We were also notified by Trisa whenever there were any issues that came up and also solutions on resolving it. Will be absolutely enjoying our back year this coming summer. If you seek a meticulously executed and stress-free project, we absolutely recommend Black Diamond.

Black diamond just finished the backyard work in our new house this week. This was a complete empty dirt patch, converted into a beautiful backyard. Chance Mouldin managed the project. He was excellent to work with, very patient with our questions, very accommodating to our changes during the course of the project. The other person, who really worked very hard on coordinating the project was Liz, she not only managed everything, but pulled all her strings to locate the plants we wanted. Folks who did paving, landscaping, sealing were all excellent. I would definitely recommend them for your project.

Rich was great. Talked me through options to repair damage PG&E did to my patio and got the project done pretty quickly. Subs had some rough cuts and Rich had them recut the pavers to look better finished.

Black Diamond put in our backyard in 2019. This is what our built in barbecue looks now. It’s falling apart. We contacted Black Diamond months ago to get it repaired. We’ve spoken to them, but no one will give us a date as to when it will be repaired.. A built in stone barbecue should not be falling apart, and a reputable company should back their work. Look carefully at our photos before doing business with Black Diamond.

Update- Black Diamond had a mason reattach the fallen stones. Hopefully that will work and no more stones will fall off.🤞

We had quite an extensive project which included a large driveway as well as numerous flower beds and the job turned out great. We enjoyed working with Matt, our Black Diamond coordinator, who was extremely helpful with planning and keeping the project on track.

I was impressed with Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape from day one. Tony and Bob both came to see my backyard on their first visit, and together they took my vision, and turned it to reality. They were the only contractor that were willing to design, and provide me a rendering, plus a video showing what it would look like once it's completed. It was an extreme makeover of my backyard; demolished the entire yard, added a pool, pergola, fire pit, BBQ island, new landscapes and lights, and replaced all the concrete with pavers. My project was completed in June of 2021, just in time for the summer. We were planning to travel this summer after being isolated for 15 months from COVID, but we love our backyard so much now that we decided to stay home, and enjoy our staycation right in our backyard.

All humor aside, I worked with Brett E. (project manager) and he was extremely knowledgeable of what it would take to overcome some of the challenges of my backyard space, as well as meet me in the middle with what I was looking for. What I found impressive were the 3D renders. I found them impressive because it allowed myself and the project manager to really see the same ideas and agree to what works and what could change.

Shortly thereafter, a crew was assigned to the project (they were really friendly and personable, too) and they completed quality work with precision and transformed an empty poorly leveled clay yard left by the builder into a functional outside space ready for planting this Spring.

I'm so pleased with the professionalism, the communication and quality of work of Brett and his crew, and the administrative team at Black Diamond who also provided exceptional support over the phone.

Also can I just say (of course I can, it's my review) that every 'surprise' along the way was a pleasant one. Brett would pull me aside and ask if I'd be interested if the crew added XYZ because there was additional material. Or if I'd consider adding ABC because the crew was working on it and they thought it would make an improvement. It was never anything along the lines of increasing cost or cutting out ideas.

The Design Specialist, Lacy Valenzuela, has a charming personality to work with, and did a wonderful job helping me choose the right stonework. Her and their contractor Max were confident they could rebuild our front porch, adding a wheelchair ramp, and redoing the front yard landscape. After everything that was said and done, I could not be more pleased that I chose Black Diamond Pavers for this project. It has exceeded all expectations, and I continue to receive praise from everyone who has seen their work! I would like to personally thank Black Diamond’s manager Tony for taking on my project, Lacy for always making herself available and for helping me choose some quality stonework, and their coordinator Liz for communicating all my queries to the whole team. I also would like to personally thank their contractor Max and his team of builders for putting together such an outstanding porch and landscape, and the Handyman Caleb Reintsma and his team for replacing the broken fence. To sum my whole experience up with a single word, Excellent! I can’t wait to finish paying off rebuilding the roof so I can call them back to build a new driveway!
