We worked with Roland and Semper Solaris two years ago to have our solar installed. When it was time to upgrade our windows and we found out Semper does those, we did not hesitate to reach out to Roland for a quote. We cannot say enough good things about him and the company!!

We had Semper Solaris install solar panels on our Carlsbad home two years ago, and the post‑installation support has been extremely poor. I reached out to ask a simple question about configuring our system for an EV charger. I was told someone would follow up—no one did.After calling again, I was given the same promise. Days later, I was told to expect an email quote within 5–7 business days. That quote never came.Semper Solaris seems completely disinterested in helping their customers once the sale is complete. If you value responsive customer service, I would look elsewhere.

We had solar panels in the past but recently we were advised that we needed a new roof and therefore new panels... more panels and upgraded ones. Luckily, I had the contact info for our original installer because she was so very helpful. Her name is Genevieve Johnson and she now works for this co. (Semper Solaris). She actually came to our home and sat us down and came up with a plan which worked excellently for us. Thank you Genevieve! Their team did a great job and I highly suggest them to anyone!

Matt Kazan was great. He came by evaluated our current system, which was way under producing. He went over our bills with us and explained how much power we’re using how much we are going to need for a new system to cover our current SDGE bills. Very knowledgeable!

Roland came by today and he explained everything very well and made me and my wife more comfortable with our system. We got our system in 2022 and it was great to have them come back out to check on it and clear up questions we may had. I really like how he explained the net metering, as I really was unsure about it. We talked about other systems in our house and I was amazed that Semper Solaris provides services for things other than solar. We will definitely be reaching out when we decide on the home fan. Thanks for continuing to check up on your customers and providing the greatest service. I am one happy veteran that appreciate the service and thank you for your service.

I kept putting off thinking about having to replace my shingle roof. As it turned out, the process went quite smoothly and I should have addressed the problem long before the leaks appeared. I went with Semper Solaris because I have solar panels that needed to be taken down and reinstalled after the new roof was installed. I didn’t want to try to coordinate the procedure between two different contractors.
Jonathan was the sales representative and did an excellent job presenting the company’s product. He explained the background of the company, the process they used for installing the roof and options available to me. I trusted him.
Special thanks go to the project manager, Christian Jimenez. Christian introduced himself to me at the beginning of the job and kept me informed what was planned for the day and briefed me of the progress every day before he left. He and his crew did an excellent job ensuring the grounds were clean every day before leaving- not an easy job with my landscaping. Also, the swimming pool was covered and no debris was found in the water. Here were a few times that I had to make a decision and I wasn’t sure which would be the best approach to use. Christian explain the problem so I could understand it, made a good recommendation and I agreed with him. He was easy to communicate with.
Bottom line, I was very satisfied with the finished job and would recommend Semper Solaris. Special thanks to Christian for making it a smooth process.

Semper Solaris did an outstanding job with my solar system installation! This is more of a long term update as I have have my system since 2018. Genevieve Johnson was my liason with Semper Solaris and if it wasn't for her I would not have used this company. She is amazingly knowledgeable about the process, material and components that make up the solar system. She spent hours explaing in detail the various options for financing and the pros and cons of the various panels, inverters, etc. She was patient and answered every question my wife and I had with clear terminology that we could both understand. Once we signed the paperwork the installation team at Semper Solaris was on time, professional, and left the job site cleaner than when they arrived. Having the system for the last 7 years has given us the peace of mind that our electric bill will always be stable avoids unexpected bills from throwing off our budget. The only regret I have is not getting solar sooner! If you pursue solar the only person you MUST speak to is Genevieve Johnson at Semper Solaris to get you started!

So this review is a tad late (System installation completed and permission to operate received in late December.), but it is a well deserved 5 star review.
I contacted Semper Solaris with only two months left in pursuit of the solar tax credit, after closing on the purchase of our new home. Everyone and their brother was chasing the same deadline, so the industry was swamped with installation jobs.
Our coordinator, Alex Lake, was "Johnny on the spot" throughout the process. He was truly a forceful advocate for us from day one. He pressed all involved to get the ball rolling and keep things moving. His communication with me was ongoing and consistent. I truly don't think we would have been successful without his efforts.
I also want to complement and thank Heidi, who assumed local coordinator duties here in AZ, once the installation process was initiated. She was also very consistent with her communication with me, as well as with the local utility (APS). Her efforts ensured the installation was done in near record time by the team of Rich and Chase (two phenomenal installers, who really know their stuff) and the required Permission to Operate was obtained well before the Dec 31 deadline.
Bottom line you ask? If you get the service we received from Alex, Heidi, Rich and Chase, you'll be singing the praises of Semper Solaris just like we are.
As a retired Naval Aviator, who has worked with many teams over the decades, I assure you, you will NOT do better than to work with this team. THEY DELIVER.

Review for Semper Solar – San Diego

My husband and I chose Semper Solar in San Diego because we believed they were a reputable and trustworthy company. Unfortunately, our experience after installation has been very disappointing.

We later discovered that the warranty provided was only one year, which was surprising considering the significant investment solar systems require. Recently, my husband noticed that one of the lights inside the power box was off. After contacting Semper Solar, one of their panel technicians helped troubleshoot over the phone and informed us that one of the panels was defective/broken.

Following their guidance, my husband ordered the replacement panel. After the company confirmed they received it and contacted us to schedule the installation, we were then told that it would cost $950 just for them to come out and replace the panel.

This was extremely frustrating to hear. We did not damage the panel ourselves, and it seems unreasonable to charge customers such a high service fee for a panel issue after the system was installed by their company.

When customers invest thousands of dollars into a solar system, we expect a company to stand behind their product and installation. Charging nearly $1,000 to replace a faulty panel does not feel like good customer service or support.

We hope Semper Solar will reconsider situations like this and provide better support for customers who trusted them with such a large investment.

I live in Oceanside and recently had Semper Solaris install a new Solar Panel system with a Tesla Power Wall. Paul Rampoldi assisted me through the process and made it extremely easy. From start to finish Paul and the Semper Solaris Team walked me through the process from quote / design / permits / install and set up. If and When I had a question, the response time from Paul was immediate and the answer always clear and to the point.

As someone who is technologically challenged, Paul and the Semper Solaris Team made the process understandable and painless. My Solar experience has been about as good as a home project can get!

The installers were great, much faster than I expected! Showed up at 8am and were done by noon. One Tesla Powerwall and 12 panels. So excited to save money. Genevieve has been a blessing and great to work with. Call Semper Solaris!

Amazing experience working with Rhami Hasenin! He is SO on top of it and an all-around great guy. As soon as we met Rhami, we knew our search for the right solar provider was over. He always kept us abreast of the promotions and incentives available and helped us secure an outstanding deal on our system. On top of that, Rhami drastically minimized our costs when the state requested changes. He is very knowledgeable in the field and capable of educating customers at any experience level. I sincerely wouldn’t consider getting solar from ANY other company than Semper Solaris due to how exceptional Rhami is. THE best!

We recently had the lighting in our nonprofit art gallery updated, and we were fortunate to work with Ben, their electrician. He provided excellent suggestions along with competitive pricing, and even adjusted his schedule to accommodate our needs so the gallery didn’t have to close during the work. Ben arrived on time, was very professional, and left the job site clean and orderly. We truly appreciate his dedication and craftsmanship, which has made a real difference in how our gallery is experienced.

Ben was fantastic! He kept to the appointment time as promised by the company, was very personable and above all fast with the repair! The wiring for my kitchen ceiling light blew and was outdated. Ben gave me a clear consultation with options of repair. Overall timing with consultation and repair was 20 minutes! Super impressed with the service! Thanks Ben!

After googling for a top rated electrician, due to my lights going out last night on part of my property, John answered at the number. It was 6:30 am and he was most courteous. He put me down as the first call of the day. At 9 am, James showed up and he was personable, competent and I felt I could trust what he diagnosed. My regular electrician was not available, but he was professional and had a conversation with him over the phone and everything he did was verified by my regular electrician. He put everything in writing and although it cost me some bucks, I feel I was well served. I would definately recommend.
