My partner and I recently decided to get more panels, due to the recent changes in Washington DC. Our home consumes quite a bit of energy with an ADU attached. We needed a way to reduce the crazy SDG&E bills we were receiving. Basically between $800 and $1200 a month! It's ridiculous! We chose Semper Solaris and we have not been disappointed! Starting with the inspection, Alberto was so thorough! He even assisted us with some problem areas in our attic, while conducting the inspection, which was amazing! Min, our team leader on the project, has been on top of everything, keeping us in the loop with dates and data! We couldn't be more happy with the progress! We can't wait to see the final product! We HIGHLY recommend!

Yes, Semper Solaris is as GOOD as it gets! We had been considering solar for quite some time and had, had presentations by at least 3 or 4 other companies. Earlier this year, a good friend of ours introduced us to Semper Solaris as their company for the system they have had for over a year and they couldn't recommend them more highly.

We contacted their salesperson Hayden Nix and he was the most knowledgeable of any that we had seen or spoken to. He took time to make sure all my questions were answered and went out of his way to help me understand why an American made Sunpower system while not the least expensive is the best for quality, reliability and return on investment.

Like any large scale project we had a few bumps along the way, however everyone at Semper we dealt with was excellent, (true 5 star service) and their goal was to make sure we were happy in all aspects of the project from start to completion. They went out of their way going above and beyond to take care of everything to our complete satisfaction and make those bumps however slight they were disappear. The care and professionalism they exhibited was beyond what I could hope to have expected. Their quality of their installation is amazing. I have many neighbors who have solar and not a one of them looks as good as my installed system from the layout of pipes to the solar and electrical panels to stucco and paint repair they simply did a beautiful job from rip up to clean up they are superb. Special mention and thanks to Veronica, Kim, Russell, George, Alex and Patrick. Semper is very fortunate to have these people on their team!

If your even only just starting to think about going solar, don't go any farther without putting this veteran owned and America 1st company and their pride and care for what they do up for your consideration, I simply cannot recommend them more highly!

Possibly worked with the best customer care representative ever. Angie was professional, incredibly knowledgeable and fun to interact with. We changed my settings on our Tesla power wall, reviewed our utility bill and changed our rate plan to reflect higher savings and benefits. She was absolutely a delight to work with.

Michael V and his Tesla Powerwall 3 Battery install team was second to none…..they expertly replaced my old Powerwall and politely explained the steps involved for me to register the new battery. Thank you kindly for such a wonderful experience, Semper Solaris is lucky to have employees as good as you are!

Going with Min Lee and Semper Solaris was probably the best decision we've made when it comes to our home improvement projects. They did an incredible job with our solar and roofing projects. You can really tell from the quality of the work that you really get what you pay for when it comes to things like this. Had a friend of a friend that would do the jobs cheaper but after seeing the results, we're so glad we moved forward with Semper Solaris!

The project was moving along smoothly and fast on a 2,200 sqft home and got done in four days. That includes removing three layers of old roof, and was with some complications and reconstructed certain area of the roof. Everything was smooth. Any additional repairs that arise were immediately discussed and priced. Staffs are respectful to the house, and kept everything clean at the end of each day.

update: after my experience I can give Semper Solaris a 5 Star review. They have some awesome employees who deliver, you know who you are! Keep up the great work and meeting clients at a sweet spot when complications arise. I’ll never again put myself into the situation of purchasing a new roof or solar panels, but in the end, I would recommend them because I’m satisfied with the completion of our transaction.

I chose Semper Solaris for my roof and solar because I’m a veteran, and I thought supporting a veteran-owned company would mean better service and some level of camaraderie. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

The salespeople are only focused on closing the deal. They show you videos about how everything will be handled carefully — like running magnets to pick up nails after roofing — but the reality is that Semper Solaris subcontracts the work. The subcontractor who did my roof last October left nails all over my yard (I’m still finding them almost a year later). I even discovered roofing debris sitting on top of my water heater months afterward, literally a week ago. So they did not truly clean up after themselves.

During installation, my backyard awning was damaged. They tried to fix it, after first denying the hired crew did it, but I coincidentally and luckily had photos to prove it was not damaged the day before the work started. The next day after alerting the foreman, the crew damaged it even further by tossing debris on it as if it was a load bearing structure! The metal didn’t fully unbend as they attempted to repair — and the paint cracked and chipped in the process. They never offered to repaint or match the paint, so every day I see a constant reminder of the damage. They also promised to repair other visible broken wood/roof boards, but I’m still waiting. Nearly a year has passed, and it hasn’t been taken care of.

Pricing-wise, they are not the cheapest. I knowingly paid more, hoping the service and accountability would justify it. Instead, I learned to get everything in writing. A salesperson promised me something, later denied it, and I had to dig up the email to hold them accountable.

The roof itself seems to be intact (no leaks so far), but in San Diego, it rarely rains, so time will tell. Overall, my advice: get a quote from Semper Solaris, then shop around. Just know they will be among the most expensive, and once you’ve paid, the service level drops dramatically. All you are paying for is them to find a roofing and solar company to do the work.

I wish I could leave a five-star review, but after this experience, I can’t.

Terrible customer service with ZERO follow-up. Tesla Power wall was installed three months ago and STILL is not operational due to a faulty battery. I have made way too many calls and left messages but I have not talked to a Solar Solaris employee to schedule the replacement battery installation. Left messages with their message service and still have yet to talk to a service rep, program manager, or any manager. I now have a $23,700 brick on my wall. I do not recommend this company.

We had our solar installed by them last 2015. Our solar hadn’t been working and I needed someone to come and fix the problem but it’s so hard to get a hold of someone just to get a schedule for appointment for someone to come in. I’ve been passed around many times and it’s already been a week calling and waiting for them to schedule an appointment , they keep saying I have to wait for their email and still no one called back and no email to get a schedule. Every time you call it’s just operator that talks to you who has no clue of what‘s going on and their only answer all the time is for me to wait a callback and email which I never receive and it’s already been a week! It’s very frustrating!!! Very poor customer service!!! Don’t do business with this company!!!

Update: an operator tried to talk to me after making this review and promised yet again that someone will email me back for the schedule but it’s same thing everyone I talk to tells me that I would get an email for schedule but I never receive an email for schedule despite this being supposedly “getting taken cared off”. So this is their solution, to receive an email /call to schedule which I never receive yet again!!!! We’re just going in circles, the problem has never been taken cared of! I wish I never bought from this company it’s a HUGE mistake!!! So if you guys don’t want to have headache like me, find a reputable company not this one , they have terrible customer service when your solar needs repair!

Semper Solaris is a great company to work with, just want to say that we’ve had such a great rep with sempre to work with her name is Genivive, she is a very welcoming person and not pushy when selling you solar panels, we ended up buying with Semper after meeting with many many other representatives from other company’s, Genivive was the only one that would answer all the questions we had and would talk to us until we understood the process of the panels and what we needed for our home to power on what we were trying to achieve, we purchased our panels and Genivive did a play by play with installation and when there was a delay or problem Genivive was there, once the solar panels were put in place it was great to that we had really cut on our electric bill.

Round two with Semper we needed our roof done and at this time we decided that we needed more panels and two batteries because we had more use for electricity so Genivive was there again to help us through, we have more panels and we pay nothing for electricity because our panels are the right amount for our home needs, Semper is the way to go and I’m so happy that Genivive is our rep (she feels like family to us) go with Semper you won’t get a better company to work with!!!

We installed our system about 4/5 years ago. The install experience was great, and everything generally works as it should. Once in a while we run into the microinverters not communicating correctly, but Semper Solaris corrects issues quickly. No issues thus far. Would recommend their service.

Matt Kazan came to my residence to help me expand my current solar system. He was excellent: thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and concerned with explaining my options. Our meeting couldn’t have been better.

I had a great experience working with Semper Solaris on my solar installation. Genevieve was helpful and responsive throughout the process, and everything moved along smoothly without any surprises.

The install team did solid work. They were careful to run the conduit through the attic, so there's very little visible on the outside of the house. They patched up any holes from the install and painted the exterior conduit to match. They also installed a car charger I had on site and ran a dedicated Ethernet line to give the inverter a reliable connection -- all done cleanly.

I've included a few photos so you can see the quality of the work. Overall, I'm happy with how everything turned out and looking forward to seeing the difference in my energy bills. Thanks again to Genevieve and the team.

I just finished a project with Semper Solaris for a new roof and a large solar array with 2 batteries. Alex, my contact from start to finish gets 12 stars for all his help AND ongoing support. Every time I have a question or concern, he gets back to me quickly sometimes within minutes. If he doesn't have the answer, he finds someone who does and gets me the info. I can't thank him and his team at Semper Solaris enough!

We recently had another superb experience w/Semper Solaris. The roof and solar pannel installation 3 years ago was expertly handled and very high quality. We subsequently had a small challenge (old flu cap blew off our chimney), resulting in water coming down chimney. Semper (Technician Irving Arenas) was very responsive, came out quickly and solved the problem.

I have had to occasionally reach back to the rep who facilitated our initial sale (Genevieve Johnson). She has always responded quickly (even writing me back on New Year's day) and been solely focused on making sure that i receive whatever help was needed (e.g. connecting me w/the right groups at Semper).

Semper is an extrmely customer-oriented company, very invested in making sure that you're happy with both the inital install as well as if/when issues occur down the road. I would use them again in a heart beat and highly recommend their services.

The crew did a great job. It was done efficiently, and it passed inspection without a single hiccup. My sales guy, David Kaul was way patient with me even though I was a salesman’s nightmare. My only complaint is that the electricians didn’t make an effort to make sure that all my circuits were correctly labeled. The office staff did a great job at Helping me get good state and federal rebates. I’m really happy with the results and would wholeheartedly recommend Semper Solaris to anyone who asked for a recommendation. The photos I’ve
