**Review of Associated Heating of San Francisco**
I recently replaced my 105-year-old furnace and chose Associated Heating of San Francisco. I’m really happy with my decision! This family-owned local business stood out among five companies I contacted.
Rich, the owner, represents the second generation of his family in the company, showing their commitment to the community. Their prices are fair, and the service is exceptional.
From my first contact with Andrea in the office to the friendly, skilled technicians who installed the furnace, everyone was great. Rich and his team truly care about customer satisfaction.
I highly recommend Associated Heating of San Francisco for furnace installation or service. We love our new furnace and expect it to last for many years. Thank you, Associated Heating, for a fantastic job!

Every once in awhile, you work with a company that truly goes above and beyond. When that does happen, I want to share because I know trying to find a company to do the work you need done is not always easy as it relates to reputation, pricing and good solid work. For anyone looking for a trustworthy HVAC company, I HIGHLY recommend Associated Heating. They came highly recommended by a friend and they did not disappoint. The owner has been in the business for all of his life since his Dad was also in the business and he got to tag along with his Dad since he was 13 years old. Associated Heating helped us with a very complicated job. The crew was polite and communicated every step of the way and answered any questions we had. They also cared enough to cover all the flooring and furniture where needed, prior to starting the work. The owner is a pleasure to work with and always picked up the phone when we called. They do top notch work and nothing less. They cover San Francisco and all of San Mateo County.

Associated Heating installed our complete HVAC system in November 2020. Shortly after installation in 2021, we had an issue with a condensation leak; Rod and his team responded immediately to remedy the problem, and the system has worked flawlessly since then.

Fast forward to today, our high-efficiency Bryant furnace locked out over a cold weekend. I spoke with Andrea, and she followed up quickly with a favorable schedule. Rod is coming out tomorrow to investigate the lockout/safety trip issue, and I’m looking forward to getting this matter resolved for good so we can have reliable heat in time for our NYE guests.

Professional and prompt service after the initial sale are so important, and I truly appreciate Associated Heating’s responsiveness and commitment to their customers. Highly recommended!

Perfect experience from start to finish - they truly made a great first impression with me, the rest of our office staff, and our building landlord. They did not have any complicated contracts or prerequisites, my initial outreach around 10am on a Wednesday through their website was answered within 30 minutes via text and a very pleasant phone call from Sal, and a service technician was able to be sent out the same day. We were assigned Dave - even provided with his picture and bio via text to ensure that we knew who we were getting. It gave us all a laugh, but was super nice to see that a company vouches for their employees in this way. Dave arrived as scheduled before 2pm and finished the work by 4pm - he was very mindful that our office was in business and kept his work area tidy and compartmentalized - even using the side entry door to minimize running into our patients who were coming down the hallways to the exam rooms. Our landlord said Dave even kindly fixed an issue with one of the sinks in the upstairs offices that she mentioned to him. We will definitely reach out to Cabrillo again should their services be needed and we highly recommend them! We had reached out to two other companies and Cabrillo had the fastest response times as well as the most pleasant follow ups from their administration to set up the appointment. Originally, I rated this company and service person five stars but when I learned that a repair that was necessary was a $250 repair instead of a $5000 new furnace my feelings about Cabrillo tanked! They had tried one repair and told me if it didn’t work but I’d need a new furnace and it didn’t work and they were telling me it was gonna be a $5000 fix! After a very cold spell in December, I got a second opinion and it turned out. The guy fixed it in 30 minutes with a simple $250 fix!

We had a great experience with Matt and Cabrillo. Our AC went out over the weekend and they were able to send a technician first thing Monday morning. Matt was incredibly kind, identified the issue quickly and was able to fix it the same day. He even clean out out our system and replaced a wrong sized filter. A very grateful 5 stars!!

I had a great experience! Robert came to install a bidet toilet seat that was less than straightforward. Because we have reclaimed water for the toilets the bidet water line had to connect to the sink water supply. It took some serious engineering skills but Robert had it hooked up and running perfectly in short order. He even took a minute to tighten up my kitchen sink faucet😊 Absolutely stellar service and great work! I'll definitely call Cabrillo again!

Randy at Cabrillo did a great job! He was able to fix my plumbing issue quickly and efficiently.

We had a very positive experience in July 2025 when our water heater was not working properly. It was easy to get an appointment quickly and Dave showed up right on time. We were able to get a new water heater quickly. I appreciated that a real person (who is also helpful!) answered the phone every time I called. Very easy to work with and excellent customer service. Highly recommend!

Randy and Matt did an excellent job installing a pressure regulator in our home. They were fast, careful, kind, and professional. They even accepted a few package deliveries for me, in addition to a thorough cleanup and their expert work. Highly recommend!

Randy did an amazing job on this project - definitely went above and beyond to help me find a solution that worked and explain the different options. He and the team were communicative and flexible and overall just great to work with.

Matthew came to check on our heater which hadn’t been working properly. He was punctual, friendly, and very communicative. He shared updates and pricing at every step, so I could make informed decisions. Would definitely call them again!

Matt inspected our gas furnace and water heater. He emptied the water tank to flush out the sediment, and inspected the components. The furnace air filter was cleaned, debris vacuumed, and electrical and gas systems checked.

Matt also gave useful recommendations for replacing our 30-year old furnace, and checked air ducts, providing a quote for duct cleaning.

Sal replied to my service request quickly and diagnosed my plumbing issue accurately over the phone. Randy came to my house the next morning, rebuilt my running toilet, and tested the other toilets in the house as well. Both guys were professional and pleasant, and my problem is solved. Cabrillo is my plumber going forward!

Excellent communication, timely arrival, and extremely professional. Rob is clearly an expert. Solved our problem and helped us plan for some next steps long term. I’ve already recommended them to my friends.

First time having my home systems serviced (AC, tankless water heater and furnace). Both Sal and Matthew are friendly, courteous and professional. Sal answered all my initial questions and booked by service right away. And Matthew was very polite and I hardly noticed he was there while he did his job. Showed me what he did at the end and answered any questions I had. Definitely recommend and will be using them again.

I was about to take a shower, but discovered my water heater was leaking, and there was no hot water. The plumber I normally use would not have been able to do the water heater replacement for over a week. They referred me to Cabrillo Plumber, who sent out a plumber, David Preciado, the same morning. He, with assistance from a colleague, took a new water heater up a narrow, winding staircase to the attic and removed the old one. David then installed the new water heater, and I soon had hot water again.

Matthew L. was awesome! He was professional, courteous, and efficient. We’ll be using Cabrillo again!

We had these guys install an air conditioning system on our top floor of 3 story house. We could not be more pleased with the result. We are sleeping better and the air feels cleaner / more filtered. Could not be happier with the end result. Also, these guys could not be more helpful throughout the whole process. We had a lot of travel this summer, so coordination was key and they were always super flexible and responsive at all times so we were able to get the project scoped, scheduled, and complete very easily and quickly. We definitely will use these guys again in the future and would recommend to our friends and family.

Matt did maintenance work on our gas furnace. He recommended that we replaced the water heater. Randy installed water heater. Both of them are quite professional and on-time.
