Not a frequent reviewer but coming in to highlight the excellent work from Cabrillo Plumbing, Heating & Air. Fast, efficient, professional, and reasonably priced. But here is the best part: I had another technician working on a gas heater issue at my house who was insisting I replace the entire system for $5.6k. I felt like I was getting the run-around and so I called Cabrillo for a second opinion. Rob B. from Cabrillo came out to take a look and ID'd the issue in 20 minutes - a broken wire and thermostat. Rob converted a $5600 quote from the other tech into a $900 fix that was done in two hours. Getting an honest evaluation from a knowledgeable team really converted me into a return customer. Thanks to Rob and the Cabrillo team!

Technician, Robert Burkett, arrived at the appointed time - preceded by an email from Cabrillo with pic and bio of him. He was completely thorough and shared all pertinent info including advising us of tax credit for our heat pump not clarified by the installer from another company. Great atitide and very helpful. Highly recommend.

Furnace went out first repairman got it going put the next day it went out again charge for a service call with no troubleshooting or parts made him come back two days later now he blamed me for the furnace not working I showed him the door... Call Cabrillothe next day I explained the situation and the technician was all ears you pointed out that my furnace is getting old but assured me I will do everything I can to get it going ran all the tests and he had more answers than I had questions but still assured me with the right replacement part he will get this furnace back up and running pretty close to the end of its life so he thought part was delivered to the front door why he was prepping and was honest I hope it's this because I have nowhere else to check this is got to work I said 94 year old woman in the unit needs the heat in the morning and no sales pitch for a new unit just assuring me I will fix what we have here... Cabrillo technician after 3hrs testing, troubleshooting, calling for parts availability got my furnace running like a champ can't thank Matthew enough for saving me from purchasing a new furnace in February

I had my gas furnace repaired by Cabrillo. Initially I thought of having it replaced by a heat pump, since the furnace was already 15 years old and the repair cost would be considerable. The repair man, however, convinced me that the furnace (a TRANE) could be repaired and should have another 10+ years of operation. Moreover, the cost of a new heat pump would be 20 times the repair cost. I have had other repair men look at my furnace for an hour and not been able to find the root causes of my problems. My repair man, Robert, was able to identify the problems quickly (there were several) and repair the furnace in about an hour. This job convinced my next repairs will be with Cabrillo. They did a fantastic job, saved me a lot of money, and provided me with lots of info about heat pumps.

Randy was the technician today. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. He was able to determine the problem quickly and efficiently. He explained everything clearly. If I need Cabrillo again, I would hope to have Randy as the technician.

Matt did a thorough job and provided tips on how to maintain the current system and suggested ways to improve it (schedule ventilation cleaning and upgrade thermostat to better utilize HVAC features). Just like with their last visit, there is no pressure to purchase items or upgrades. Cabrillo provides you with the information you need to make the best choices for your home and budget.

Very pleased. For the last two years, no heat was going to my rear bedrooms, and I couldn't figure out why. I had called another HVAC company to find the problem a year ago, but they were unable to locate the cause because the heating ducts ran through the back of the drywall. I gave up and bought space heaters but this year, was annoyed enough with the situation that I thought I would try another company, though had low expectations from the start, and feared I would ultimately have to open up the walls in order to find the blocked or broken duct. However, Daniel got the job done without having to resort to that. He spent plenty of time listening and thinking and investigating and finally spied a painted, bolted-up panel in my garage ceiling I'd never noticed before, and surmised the ducts and dampers might be behind it. And sure enough, there they were, withthe damper leading to the bedrooms closed. A major win! The communications with Cabrillo for scheduling were clear and helpful, and Daniel was professional, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and...fixed my problem. The cost was also quite reasonable.

We had the best experience with Cabrillo! They saved us when another provider installed a water heater that led to a gas leak. They came immediately, were so professional, had the best customer service, and, most importantly, were trustworthy and did a great job with the installation. Robert performed the job.
