They have everything... but don't ask for help. It's one of the soul survivors of the Valencia remodel. I hope they can continue to stay afloat.

Useless. Barely muttered a word when I asked for something. Finally got out a “no”. They didn’t seem to have anything normal hardware stores stock, but if you’re a plumber it may be useful.

Worst place ever, the least helpful
Place I’ve ever been to in my life. It’s like he was programmed to say no or I have no idea. Why are you employed there or even worse maybe the owner.

Not very helpful to find s washer I needed. They just pointed me in the direction where they keep the stock. I asked about something else ascend bye said they didn't have it, when I asked where I could find one he had no clue.

This is an excellent store for plumbing supplies, and a good store for electrical and heating supplies. Keep in mind that this is a supply store for the trade and pro-amateur. iI you don't understand plumbing and electrical very well then go to an Ace or Home Depot store instead.

I have gone here 4 or 5 times looking for pretty basic supplies and for the life of me have never found what I needed.

If you know what you need, this place might be fine. If you need assistance, they will give you attitude and be disrespectful. I gave them very detailed description of what I was doing and the type of parts I needed, but because I didn't have exact part names, they just gave lots of attitude.

My first visit was a surprise. As a working carpenter, I usually expect small local hardware shops to stock mostly cleaning products, door mats, pet supplies, and light bulbs. But "U Save" has amazing depth in the most critical home-repair categories. The selection of pipe fittings, electrical boxes and wire, adhesive/caulks/sealants is remarkably complete for such a small storefront. Also, they clearly have *real* suppliers, they're not just a chain like Ace or True Value. Except for the fasteners department, most of U Save's stock is bulk on a shelf rather than being overly branded and bubble-carded. In other words, less "products" and more actual stock of the things you'll use up during a plumbing, electrical, rain-gutter, etc etc project. I hope all the local handymen know about this place, it will save them a few round trips to Colma.

Someone driving a U-Save Plumbing van burglarized our car this past Sunday morning. We caught him and scared him off before we called this company repeatedly and couldn't get through to anyone who could answer any basic question, though we've learned their owner's name is Kent. Our family was also physically threatened by the burglar/driver.

If you're looking for crooks, people interested in physically assaulting you, and incompetent customer service staff for your plumbing supply needs, these are your guys.

Not really big on customer service here, I came in looking for specific screws and bolts and they just pointed to a wall Honestly I needed more help than that. I came in looking for specific screws and bolts and they just pointed to a wall honestly I needed more help than that. I don't think that I would go back to them again even though they are fairly convenient to my home.

Had good luck recently finding plumbing supplies for a bathroom remodel.
I've had them just point to a wall, but also had them pick out the part for me.
They took back what I didn't use for a full credit too. But their stated refund policy was short, like 15-days I think.
They have parts that HD doesn't and I like being able to get in and out quickly if you know what you're looking for.
Hope they can survive against the big chains.

Terrible service and condescending employees. Don’t waste your time going here.

They don’t answer phone. ever. So warranties useless.

Called and asked if they had smoke detectors. I was a 6 minute walk away, and I arrived and found the alarms while still on hold. While in the store, they didn't even come back to answer the question, they hung up the phone. Horrible customer service! And they don't even know what they carry!

This is a great local plumbing, heating and electrical supply shop that I have been going to for decades.

Their prices usually beat Home Depot and Lowes. Especially if you are buying a water heater, or a home heater, or electrical parts. The copper and ABS plumbing parts were almost half the cost !

The guys there are very knowledgeable and helpful.

This shop is more suited for professionals who already know what they are doing and what they need, than for homeowners.
When it comes to plumbing and electrical work it is best to hire a pro anyway ;-)

Hot tip, park around the back on San Jose ave and they can bring stuff out the back for you.
