The best in the city

I found out that they installed our boilers in the wrong configuration. Now I need to go to another contractor to fix their mistake. They don't care about their customers. Very disappointed.

Can’t say enough good things about this company... respectful, clean (believe it or not), punctual, and got the job done.

They’ve been around for 30+ years. That stands for something in that business.

John and his crew are my go to company to call. I’m a Chief Engineer for a luxury High rise in SF and I’ve called them with emergencies on Friday at 3:30. They’re great and I can count on them.

excellent !!! Benjamin came and replaced a part on the water heater when other contractor said the whole heater needs to be changed. He was professional, efficient, reliable and personable. HIGHLY recommended.

I would give 0 or negative stars if I could for the unfair & deceptive trade practices of this company.

Called to see how much it would be for a plumber to come out and was told by Doreen $200/hour. Two plumbers came (which she didn't say she was sending - she implied on the phone just one would come), so I was on the hook for paying EACH at a rate of $200/hour. Further, she charged my card for 2 full hours, even though they were here from 2:47pm-4:21pm, or about 1.5 hours. (Note: at first Doreen charged my card for 2-1/2 hours; I had to call to inquire about this and she reduced it to 2 hours after some back and forth, which I still felt was unfair. She held firm that they ROUND UP to the nearest half-hour, no matter how few minutes over the 30 minute mark they are.) And a third thing Doreen never mentioned upfront is that after 4pm, they bill overtime - so there was a $100 surcharge per person for the 20 min. they stayed after 4pm. Had I known, I would have definitely had them leave by 4pm since their efforts were fruitless up to that point anyway.

As others have said (see Yelp reviews), Doreen takes your credit card upfront over the phone and then runs it as soon as the plumbers leave; you don't get an invoice or anything to sign to authorize the charge or review their math. And good luck disputing their faulty math; she ran my card for $1,200 and wouldn't explain her math. So in sum, they committed 4 unfair/deceptive acts: 1) failure to inform consumer that 2 plumbers would be sent rather than one (so double the rate quoted on the phone); 2) failure to inform consumer of overtime charge of 1.5x the hourly rate for any time after 4pm; 3) failure to inform consumer they ROUND UP to the nearest half-hour if even a minute over the 30 minute mark; and 4) failure to inform consumer they will run your CC for whatever amount they feel is right without authorization -- and since there's no price transparency on what their rates are, this is horribly unfair.

In the end, it turns out the guys didn't even do the job right. I took video of their work, which I showed to another plumber the next day, who explained what they did was wrong.)

BEWARE: this place is not transparent about their fees and fails to see how this is unfair. Given all the negative reviews on this point, it's clearly a problem with this company over and over again and probably a place the CA Attorney General's Office should investigate under the CA Unfair and Deceptive Acts and Practices Act.

These people are worse than terrible. I will never use them again. Last year, December 2023, they came to fix my boiler and didn't bother to check to see if the heat was working on all 3 floors, which it wasn't. I caught this right away and called them to return. They told me that it would cost an additional 200.00 to come back out although they did not fix the problem in the first place. Do not use them, they are unreliable and arrogant at the same time.

Kitchen sprayer wouldn’t work at all. I called this service and they replaced the hose assembly efficiently. Tested thoroughly, works perfectly now.
