I love this business and recommend them all the time. They are so reasonable and affordable, beyond professional people who work for them. Polite, quick, and came within an hour of when I called. And I love it, that the owner of the business answers the phone —-it’s a lost art.
Larry, you should be super proud of your company and I can’t imagine that you’ve ever get anything less than five stars.

Great communication and follow up.
I got home from overseas. Even 30min before the expected appointment time, the plumber came in. He showed me what caused the leak, what he replaced with, and such. What a comforting experience

Bad business. Ignores issues and will not return calls. Trucks constantly blocking my door and driving on sidewalk. Tried multiple times to resolve and will not fix problem. Terrible business and will never use. Find another plumber, plenty of better ones in the SF.

Every time I have used R&L they have done a great job. I have used them a lot. All the men who have come out to do the work have been friendly, polite and competent.
I highly recommend them.

2025: I’ve used RL Plumbing multiple times and they never disappoint! Clifton helped me with some plumbing issues and he did an amazing job—professional, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. 2023: Toilet clogs suck. So I decided to reach out to Larry, the owner of R&L Plumbing and surprisingly they were able to schedule an appointment within 2 hours even though they were busy due to all the leakage and drainage issues that the bomb cyclone caused. Doug was the plumber who came and he was able to unclog my toilet immediately but he also checked my other toilets, sinks, and showers for any other clogging. He unclogged one of my sinks and replaced the flushing units for another toilet. He was professional and friendly. If you ever need a prompt and knowledgeable plumber, R&L plumbing is the way to go. Big shouts out to Larry, Doug, and Carmen for your 5 star service.

We called R&L Plumbing around 9pm after waiting for a different company to send a plumber for 5 hours (they kept telling us they were on it and would send someone "soon"). We were dealing with water pouring out of a pipe every time our neighbors did laundry and needed someone to come on the day.

The person who answered the phone at R&L (I think her name was Cynthia) was very helpful and a clear communicator. She kept me posted as she contacted the owner, Larry, and located a plumber who can come within the hour. The plumber who came (Michael) was also a great communicator, and he asked questions to understand the problem we were dealing with, arrived earlier than originally scheduled, and fixed the issue within 30 minutes. He even followed up after he left to make sure the issue was truly fixed and gave us tips on how to ensure the laundry space isn't damaged following the water leak. Going forward, R&L will be the first plumbers we call!

Expensive, and getting an appointment was more time-consuming than it needed to be, with information having to be submitted several times to two different people. But I was able to get a same-day appointment for a problem that wasn’t quite an emergency, and the work seems solid.

We finally found an honest, fair & above all, professional plumbing company to service our rental units.
Recommended from an industry acquaintance, we contacted R&L in the early evening. Surprisingly, the representative not only answered the phone in a professional manner, but provided an honest consultation on the necessity to come out that night vs. the next morning when parts would be readily available; in other words, rather than take advantage of the situation to send a plumber out that night and charging an after-hours rate, the dispatcher assessed the situation as being a non-emergency, and then recommended a next day service.
Like clockwork, the representative followed up the next morning, and set up a time to come out directly with our tenant. We even received a text with the photo, name and contact info of the specific plumber that was on his way to the job site.
After the job was completed to everyone's satisfaction, Larry (the owner) even followed up with a text to make sure we were satisfied with the work. Needless to say, this type of customer service is not only rare these days, but it speaks volumes as to what sets R&L apart from others.
Above all, the estimate for the job, prices charged, and complete process from beginning to end was always transparent, and professionally managed with a personal touch. Highly recommended!!!
Update August 2021:
Had a sump pump issue at one of our rental apartments. Phillip and Louis arrived on time, and went above and beyond to take care of the issue promptly!!

The two service techs Gustavo and Evelio were true professionals. They honed in on the issue of our water pressure and trouble shot it immediately. Cleaned out the pipes and perfectly installed our new faucet. We had hot water with great pressure in no time. The time before this, Gustavo came out with Mike and he was also great. Knowledgeable and super friendly. My 2 yr old son loved him. All of the guys were respectful and clearly knew what they were doing. Great plumbers that get the customer service aspect.

Wow, my garbage disposal stopped working, and I thought I needed it replaced and I bought a replacement from Home Depot, called R&L to see if I could get an estimate for the work, and the owner Larry called me right back, and sent me a video of what I might try first to get it unstuck, before he dispatched someone and it totally worked! What an incredibly kind thing for him to do that saved me lots of $! He recognized that I was in his customer database and had used their services previously. I was really impressed and grateful for his advice! Thank you, Larry!

We had a new all in one washer dryer delivered and the salesperson didn't bother to tell us WE would have to install the pan and seal the emergency drain. So we had to get a plumber quickly and 2 people to lift the 400 pound appliance. The 2 men were amazing and very efficient. I will use your company again.

R&L Plumbing had a someone come out right away and after discovering they needed a second person to assist they dispatched someone right away. The job was not the easiest, but both got it done fast and were extremely kind and considerate. Truly the best plumbing company I have ever met. Fast responses and dispatch, excellent kind and considerate workers, very quick to get the job done and went the extra mile. I highly recommend Gerardo and AJ. R & L Plumbing is great. They dispatch to you very quickly and do a great job solving your plumbing problem. I’ve used them a few times and they are always very professional and I recommend using them for your plumbing issues. Bob who can yesterday was great, as have been all of their technicians I’ve dealt with. Very good office staff as well.

R&L Plumbing is one of the best! I had an emergency plumbing with our bathtub in Mother’s Day of all days! They promptly responded to my call, communicated to me the availability and timing of the plumber. The dispatcher texted the name and photo of the plumber so I knew who to expect. They are professional and compassionate. The plumber arrived when they said he would. He was very knowledgeable and fixed the problem quickly. And, they didn’t cost an “arm and leg!!” I was so happy!! Thank you R&L Plumbing!!

Two R&L technicians shut off the water to my condo stack and replaced a leaking angle stop under my sink within about 30 minutes. They were friendly and efficient and I was told by R&L there is a 90 day warrantee.
Unfortunately, the repair still cost me $585 because R&L have a minimum 1.5 per hour charge per technician of $209, to include travel time to and from my home. I had little choice because my HOA gives them sole rights to shut off water.

I am extremely pleased with the level of service I received from R and L from the initial outreach to job completion.

I had the pleasure of having Clifron come out today to help swap out a few toilets. He was professional and communicative and friendly. Got the job done quickly and correctly and cleaned up when he was done.

Will use R and L for all future needs!

Best plumbing company in the city! Our toilet wouldn’t flush on a Friday night. I called them and they came within the hour and fixed it perfectly. They took photos and documented everything too which is really detail oriented for them. The plumbers are all very friendly as well and very reasonably priced!
