Pricing: We called prior to the appointment. They told us they charge $209 per hour. The plumber came and found that the problem was actually pretty stupid: the hose for the dishwasher was down, not up, so it was leaking. He just put it up (took 1 min) and then run dishwasher for 15 min to see that the leaking stopped. After that he left pretty happy that it was such a easy job. The company sent a bill for $264. I guess it's extra for us calling for plumber to fix a 1 min job?

Extremely unprofessional experience today with RNL Plumbing on Mission Street. My neighbor was having work done, and the company brought what looked like a dozen work trucks that blocked both sides of the street, making it unsafe for cars and pedestrians. Several of the drivers were speeding and driving recklessly. Even worse, I overheard what appeared to be a manager—carrying donuts and coffee—make racially charged comments, including using the term “Peckerwood.” Completely unacceptable behavior from any business, let alone one working in a residential neighborhood. I would never hire or recommend a company that allows this kind of disrespect and chaos.

Something weird is happening with plumbers in SF (it’s private equity, but that’s beside the point). Almost every plumber is using AI assistants to schedule appointments that they either call back and cancel, or never show up for. It’s miserable to be a customer these days.

Not R&L. We called on a Saturday afternoon when we knicked a water line and I spoke to two humans. Before that, two 24/7 plumbers didn’t pick up, one scheduled an AI appointment and didn’t show, and our plumber from literally the day before canceled after 4 hours. Clifton showed up in the window, fixed the problem, and was very knowledgeable. It was a Saturday and we were expecting to pay some exorbitant fee for emergency overtime but it was the listed weekend amount on the website. Very fair. We haven’t gotten the bill but I will absolutely call them again.

I called after hours on the weekend with a clogged toilet issue. I spoke with Saul who advised me because it was after hours the rate is doubled and if I could wait till the next day it would be less costly. I didn’t want to wait. Saul asked a few questions to access the issue. He advised me he would hate for me to pay double the money for an issue I might be able to solve on my on. He then gave me instructions on how to resolve the issue and said if I was not able to fix the issue I can call back to set up an appointment. I followed Saul’s instructions and cleared the issue. The customer service was exceptional. It was nice to deal with a company that puts customer service as a priority over money. I highly recommend R & L plumbing. Thanks again Saul!

Absolutely abysmal FRONT OFFICE! This company's front office has deep communication problems. The front office doesn't communicate to plumbers in the field on work scope. Plumber has botched the visit twice - not his fault but because he was not given correct information to bring the right equipment to a job. Not only will I never recommend this company to anyone, we are pulling our business from them going forward. I complained after the first visit and made them aware that visit #1 didn't go well and two weeks later arrived with incorrect work order and didn't bring equipment needed. They spent more time training people how to answer the phone with an unbearable greeting than teaching the front office what the field needs. Plu,mbers are good - I hope other companies hire away the good ones and this company folds as the owners don't appear to respond or care that things are going pear-shaped.

We called for a small leak in our sink. They sent someone. The man spent 2 minutes puting some tape and charge us 200. I've called email and text asking for a receipt. Never got an answer.

Went in sat feb 4,2023 buy rubber seal for p trap assembly they come in 2 sizes 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 they had it in stock.price is alot cheaper than home depot or lowes.

Very friendly neighborhood building supply store. They carry a lot of stuff, including some hard-to-find items. They also carry HVAC supplies such as gas furnace (Carrier, Payne, etc.) with competitive price. I would highly recommend them. Thanks!

The store entrance is closer to 42nd Ave. the store front in the middle of the block is their storage area. I walked in and the women at the front desk stared at me, then walked away to help someone else. Then a man came around and offered his assistance. I showed him a photo of the item on my phone. He took my phone and used his black ballpoint pen as a stylus on my new iPhone. Now I have a scratched up screen.

The did an awesome prompt job fixing my thermostat that wasn't working and also fixed my broken bathroom faucet. Scheduling was very pleasant despite the last notice phone call and the plumber who showed up was very courteous and professional. Highly recommend!
