R&L was able to respond to us on a Sunday night with both a quote and a helpful solution that we could try ourselves. We tried the fix but it did not work and requested a quote from R&L. The quote was fair and as soon as we verbally accepted they had a plumber to us in less than an hour. I spoke with a few different people but they were all courteous and always tried to find a "do it yourself" solution without going for a money grab. Would definitely recommend

R&L Plumbing and the staff are amazing. I had a water heater that was leaking, they came out within 2hrs, unfortunately i needed a new one so they rushed out and got one and installed the next day. They were so nice and very professional and extremely honest. I would recommend to everyone.

I had a horrible experience with this plumbing company. They had to come twice to fix my food disposal in less than a month and it so happens that they charged me twice $331 for each time. I’ve lived at my apartment for quite a while and never had any issues with my garbage disposal. Sounds like an easy fix. I’ve requested to have a manager call me to ask why I’m being charged twice without my authorization and they have not reached out to me. Plumber did not fix the issue on the first visit. It’s very frustrating to get someone on the phone that say that a manager will call me and they never do. It’s gotten to the point that I’ve had to contact my bank to dispute the charge. Very unprofessional.

I work for a PM company so I make a lot of plumbing calls. R&L is always my first choice because they are professional and reliable. I’ve never had a cancelled appointment and am able to schedule easily! I can’t thank them enough for serving our residents for all of these years!

The experience was nothing short of a nightmare. In a small 2 story building they were called to come in to change a small 5 gallon water heater on the 2nd floor that leaking downstairs, something that just about 5 years ago I did myself for only the cost of $150 for the water heater. I was busy and couldn't do it myself so I called R&L Plumbing, which at first they said it will cost $199 for them to come out and if I give them the job it will be applied towards the total cost of repair. Few hours later they sent a plumber with some else to diagnose the problem. Since I knew exactly what was wrong they didn't really have to spend more than 5 minutes to look at the situation and offer to change the small water heater for $450 including labor and the cost of the heater, which I agreed to pay. It took them about 3 hours to remove the water heater and they said sorry we'll have to come back tomorrow because if we stay the charge will be after hours charge and the cost will be significantly higher. Since this was on Friday evening they scheduled to return on Monday afternoon. This time they showed up in 3 trucks and six so called plumbers to install a small 5 gallon water heater and in addition to the initial $199 they charged my credit card $2550 for the lead plumber and his assistants. I will never use this company and would not recommend them to anyone.

Working with R&L Plumbing was a horrible experience. I requested a flat fee for installing two toilets which was provided to me and agreed upon by both parties (in writing). I requested this fee to be flat to avoid any issues with billing down the road.

Halfway through the job, the company tried to charge me much more because it was taking his technician longer than he wanted it to. On top of only half finishing the job, they installed a scratched toilet seat (which they're making right, thank you!). To date, the company has refused to settle on a final number for payment despite me making concessions and coming up from the quoted number we agreed prior to the job starting. He's hung up on me and refused to take phone calls to discuss.

He didn't install the second toilet because I wasn't comfortable having them come back into my home after how they've treated me on the phone and via text message. He's threatening to take this to small claims court and put a lien on my house even though I'm trying to come to a payment number both parties can agree on. This company is not professional, I recommend staying away at all costs. He's unfortunately not an honest business person who sticks to written agreements.

Ismael showed up within 30 minutes of me making the phone call about a leaking faucet on the rooftop deck. The problem was not a straightforward one but he took care of it within the hour. 10/10 from me on timeliness, professionalism and outcome.

The technician basically did nothing to solve the drainage issue. But I was still charged over $300 for doing what any lay person could have done- cleaned out an already clean dishwasher filter. Now we need another visit to actually fix the problem. On the plus side the tech arrived quickly.

Great service and attention to detail. Technicians were good to work with, very professional. Accommodated my little requests without complaint! Job required multiple visits and scheduling sometimes was an issue.

If you want to save money, save time, and have peace of mind, then R&L Plumbing is the way to go! I know absolutely nothing about buying a water heater and the installation process. I contacted Saul and told him I wanted the installation to be quick, easy, and efficient and he (and the plumbers) were able to deliver on all of those. Saul even took the time out of his day to meet me at the appliance store and choose the water heater I would need. Not only that, he DELIVERED it to my house instead of me having to pay the appliance store a delivery fee.

When the plumbers got to my home, they were very friendly and courteous. They explained a little bit of how the water heater works, what to expect and what not to expect. After installation , They checked EVERY SINGLE faucet, sink, toilet, water hose, etc. to make sure the water heater was working.

I got a follow up call from Saul shortly after they left to make sure everything went smoothly. I couldn't be more happier with the level of service and professionalism I experienced with R&L. I will definitely use R&L in the future for all my household needs!

The silver bullet on my radiator was leaking as well as the on off knob.
The repair gentleman came and assessed the situation, ordered the parts I needed and came back and made a great repair. No leaks! Glad to have my apartment warm again!

I had a fantastic experience. I had been told by East Bay MUD that my water usage had increased and that it appeared that there might be a leak on my property. I called R&L to request a diagnosis of the problem. A very meticulous manager checked for leaks and told me that one toilet needed repair. They sent a very competent and courteous plumber the next day, who made the repairs promptly and professionally. I will definitely use them again if I have plumbing problems.

Their service technician, Robert, went above and beyond with a very difficult emergency job. On a Saturday. Job took 4 hours and he refused to accept a tip. His boss, Larry, was equally responsive, calling and texting with instructions beforehand to drain the leaking water heater before Robert arrived. We felt we were in good hands every step of the way.

They were very professional. They were also timely and the cost was more than fair. All along the way they checked in if they thought i needed to know or understand something. They also fixed another problem they did not come for but saw it as pertinent to the whole picture.these guys are the first time i have not felt ripped off or like I had to do a crash YouTube course in my plumbing problem. I was also able to ask whatever questions I had. I will be using them for all my plumbing need. How refreshing is honesty and availability at the same time.

I do not write reviews at all but on this occasion It was a must. I installed a new shower valve at my mother's house. After turning on the water back on I discovered that the hot water to all the faucets did not work. I goggles the situation a d tried several option to no avail. I placed the call for the plumber. I was amazed that they took the time to troubleshoot the problem. Amazingly the issue was a bad valve to the water heater. I was able to replace it myself. I will always call R & L plumbing service for future service. Very honest. Do not hesitate to call them. Thank you guys very much.

Been doing business with R & L since Larry was the plumber on call. This time, it was a Saturday, and Larry answered! I like a “hands on” business owner, even when the company has grown to 50 employees. It’s an efficient operation. He had Sabrina call me back and schedule a plumber who was able to be at the building within two hours. Ismael was professional and quick. We rely on R & L.

My father is 97 years old and lives mostly independently in his own Condo. His kitchen faucet "blew up" unexpectedly. Last time he had a plumbing issue, it took me almost a week to get anybody out to look at it. I knew that someone else in my Dad's building was having plumbing work done = R&L. I looked them up on the internet, called them and explained our situation, noting that they would already have somebody in the building working on another unit. They were very responsive, very helpful and very professional. They were also very communicative throughout the process - which is important when your Dad is 97. The faucet was replaced and fixed within hours. What a great customer service experience I had!

I was very, very grateful they came out for a same day appointment for a shower valve replacement. Water was running non stop all of a sudden, and the faucet would not turn off. Larry was very helpful in guiding me through whether a building water shutoff was needed and how to find out the kind of part needed.
Carmen was helpful in explaining how billing would work and when I had questions about the tech tracker status and tech arrival. Mario was extremely skilled as he was able to remove the escutcheon that was stubbornly rusted to the wall. He accomplished the replacement in under an hour which minimized the negative impact of the duration of water shutoff and hot water unavailability for 100+ units in my complex. He also explained the testing done afterwards. Thank you!!!
