Plumbing Ministry is a full service plumbing company and each time I’ve used them, I was pleased with the work, service and price. Recently, I replaced a main sewer lateral, and an old underground galvanized water line at my elderly aunts house. I was pleased with the results of their work, maintaining the site as clean as possible during the job and the overall courtesy they extended my aunt. On another recent job, they repaired a leaking toilet for me. They were prompt, the plumber was courteous and clean, making certain he wore shoe covers before walking inside my house. This is a busy company, but the owner is accessible, very knowledgeable and informative. The office staff is also competent and courteous.

We used Plumbing Ministry to test the sewer lateral in preparation for the sale of our house and to obtain the compliance certificate from EBMUD.

We communicated to Plumbing Ministry that this was a time sensitive matter and they went above and beyond to book appointments quickly, move up appointments whenever possible, show up on time, and respond to our communications in a timely manner, often within hours. I am not sure of the person's name who has been answering our phone calls and responding to our emails, but she was amazing at coordinating this project with us.

Furthermore, I would like to shine a spotlight on the tech that made sure our sewer lateral passed inspection. Not only did his technical expertise make it possible for our sewer lateral to pass, but his larger understanding of our goal to sell the house and his understanding of EBMUD's process, made the certification straightforward and simple. He did an amazing job, he is a highly skilled, dependable, professional, and easy to work with tech. I would recommend Plumbing Ministry to anyone who needs sewer lateral certification.

Had a major sewer backup, they came the next day and put a clean out and had to replace the old clay pipes going to the street. The workers were very efficient, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. The next day after noticing a small water leak I called and they sent somebody that very afternoon to fix the broken sprinkler. Was very happy with the work and the service and would definitely recommend them.

Sewer lateral replacement. Dug out the wrong place at first and ruined a huge section of my yard. The driveway repair was awful and is already cracking. Took multiple days for them to finish the job with a huge hole in my driveway. Didn't care to make it right when asked either. Stay away.

Do you really want to do business with plumbers who don't even try to help when something goes wrong, especially when it affects somebody who had nothing to do with the job? I would encourage everyone who is thinking of hiring this company to think twice - read all the negative yelp and google reviews to see what you're really getting into when you hire the Plumbing Ministry. One review even notes that the only positive reviews are from real estate agents who want the bare minimum done. I would highly encourage anyone reading this review who has had problems with the Plumbing Ministry to reach out to the El Cerrito City Department, Better Business Bureau, California Department of Consumer Affairs, and California Attorney General's Office to file a complaint.***

My neighbors hired the Plumbing Ministry to do some plumbing work. This involved the company coming on July 24th and digging up the pipes in the street area between my neighbors place and residence. They then proceeded to accidentally cut our cable and wifi service line, which resulted in a brief interruption to cell service. As of today, July 28th, the wifi service still has not been fixed.

The Plumbing Ministry has not offered to resolve this situation in any way whatsoever. They first tried to deny they had anything to do with it, but after confronting them, they told me they would contact the office and the right people to get this fixed. Since I had not heard anything from them and no work had been done to restore access, I called the office number for the plumbing ministry. I talked to the owner who was apathetic at best, denied all wrongdoing by stating that our cables were unmarked (which does not seem like a reason to cut them in the first place), and told me that there is nothing they can do.

Wifi may seem unimportant to most, but as somebody who works remotely, I find the apathy and the lack of ownership taken by the Plumbing Ministry to be appalling. I believe my experience to be indicative of the work they perform and the service that they provide as a business.

They came to inspect my sewer lateral, only to discover that a previous sewer job one year prior (by a pretend plumber) was not up to code. Image how disappointed I was over the large amount of money literally down the sewer.

Extremely unprofessional. I hired Plumbing Ministry to install a Moen automatic water shutoff in my new home. The technician was given access to my home before we moved in. A month later, I was inspecting my crawl space and noticed that my $700 sleeping bag was in the corner where the installation had been done. It was covered in dust and had a hole in it. The technician had clearly taken it from my belongings and used it as a pad while working under my house and left it there! The technician is the ONLY person who had access to my crawl space since the home was purchased, but Plumbing Ministry denied that their employee did this and refused to compensate me for the loss.

Our toilets needed replacing. The plumbers arrived on time - out with the old & in with the new. Great job. Polite, professional & friendly. Very neat & clean. We are very happy with this business & we will absolutely call them in the future if needed.

Absolute worst service I've ever experienced. My great aunt who is 98 years old, has always used this service until the other day, she had a call from her rental about the water heater.... A plumber called us and quoted us $5,979, he completely lied saying that we needed an all new water heater and inlets out outlets, and that it was a disaster, had a family member go check on it. As of course my aunt could not, just to find out it was a brand new water heater and a simple adjustment fixed it. After I called back to inform the plumber we would not be needing their services, the plumber started yelling obscenities and insulted me. How do you guys even run a business that trys to take advantage of the elderly. An absolutely disgusting display of supposed professionalism. If I could give zero stars I definitely would.
