Bruce Linscott did an electrical underground conversion at my house on a challenging steep hillside. Has a family owned large scale operation of heavy duty machinery fit for trenching. He is sensitive to his clients needs, has a fine crew, has a good reputation with authorities and great connections with PG&E. Knows to get the job done right into every detail from beginning to end without any delays.

We are extremely happy with the experience and work of CS Construction. We did a remodel project in 2024, which involved a small addition, a deck, taking down walls, and touched nearly every room in the house: updated kitchen, new floors, new doors, just nothing to the bathrooms. Worked with 3 General Contractors to get bid pricing and CS Construction stuck out from the get go - CS Construction bid was on par with the others, however Chet’s follow up and communication was superior. Chet worked with me and also a design team and the communication and collaboration was wonderful. Chet’s communication was excellent throughout the project: Chet was uber responsive, answered questions throughly and was very patient to explain things in a way I understood (first remodel project!), laid out options as they arose, and did what he said he was going to do. Our project went very smoothly - the hiccups were minimal however in these instances Chet was responsive, took ownership and fixed it.
We are extremely happy with the quality of the work and Chet’s team were kind and hardworking. Chet gave us an initial timeline of 6-8 months and we were back in our house 6 months and a week after starting. Towards the end of the project, we needed to move out of our temporary housing and with weeks notice Chet and team made our home move in ready and finished up the final elements as we lived in our beautiful redone home! Even after completion of the project, Chet is very responsive…we had an issue with one of the internal door handles coming loose, called Chet and he came over to fix it. We can’t say enough great things about our experience with CS Construction.

Ms Manon was wonderful to work with. She really cared about every detail designing my new kitchen. I never felt rushed and she always took the time to modify all my requests. The cabinets look wonderful. She came out multiple times helping us with the install project with my contractors.

Manon Demers from Gilmans Kitchens was a pleasure to work with. I am also Including her team mate Sandy Castruita. I was impressed with Manon professionalism, patience and honesty. She helped us design our cluttered condo small kitchen into a functional beautifully designed place where I can create amazing food. Unfortunately we were limited with space and walls that we would be able to knock down. However, she listened to me and came up with a plan that worked for my needs. We already had a contractor that has worked on many of our renovations projects Harry Rendon. He even stated she was easy to work with which made our project flow. I was impressed with the intake questionnaire and guidance with appliance selection support and confirmation of measurements. The delivery confirmation was spot on- even on a holiday month December- The cabinets we selected were pricey but we selected good quality. Manon was never pushy and was an amazing guide in answering questions and allowing me to take my time. Overall, if I had the opportunity to redo another kitchen I will use Manon Demers and her team from Gilmans kitchens in without any hesitations.

I rarely leave reviews, especially negative ones. This needs to be said . This so called designer , the new one at this Gilmans location in San Rafael is very unprofessional, accusatory and in no way deserves any business. I've been using this location to borrow samples for clients, then returning to the location to give them my business if everything works out. Last week, after not being there for quite some time, I went in and encountered Darcie Punke. She was adamant about not loaning ANY samples out , even after the nice customer service lady told me that she could do this, if I gave her my information, etc. Darcie came rushing over and began arguing with me and told me she didn't feel comfortable with loaning out the samples and implied that I could take them and not return them, to which it went downhill from there. She was almost being a bully about it and would not let up. I finally walked out with a negative outlook on this Darcie person, the way she was condescending and rude-i would never refer any business to her. Be aware of this woman and think twice about doing any business with her.
Luckily I didn't have to see her when I returned the sample , I was warmly greeted by the customer service lady , Emma , who asked me how everything went with my client and genuinely seemed to care.

So rude! Only deeeep in ther website did it say appointment only, so forgive me for missing it. A few weekends ago, my whole family and I drove all the way out just to be turned away. Would not accommodate us even though there was no one in the store. All other stores (right next to them) are taking appropriate covid precautions, why can’t they?? At the very least, put ‘by appointment only’ clearly on your website! They should have tried to squeeze us in; there was nobody in the store. Instead, they pretty much just shut the door in our face. Awful!

I requested this company to do a $50,000 partial kitchen remodel and they said no thanks we don’t do that. It seems like they only want expensive 1 percenter jobs. They supplied all of my cabinets in the past, and helped me with replacement parts a few years ago. It was a nice experience. Now, they do not want my business or money, and it was quite a shock to be treated like trash. I will never seek their services again.

Just finished a bathroom remodel. Came out perfectly. Great help and guidance from Manon in san rafael. Will definitely use them again.
