After Christmas Eve 2025, both of my bathroom sinks (Master and Guest, sharing the same wall) stopped draining. I tried chemical drain cleaner and even a drill powered auger, but neither worked. I searched online for plumbing companies in Fremont, CA, and United HVAC Plumbing & Electrical came up as one of the recommended options.
I called United and left a message, then contacted another company that offered a free onsite estimate. While I was waiting for them to arrive, United called me back and suggested I still book an appointment, which I did.
The first company’s assessment wasn’t encouraging. Because both sinks share the same drainpipe, they said there was no guarantee their auger would work either. Their next suggestion was snaking the roof vent for $500 with no guarantee or cutting into the drywall to replace Tee fittings, with Y fittings — still without addressing the clog. I was glad I had a second appointment lined up.
When United’s technician, Teo V, arrived, I explained the previous assessment. He mentioned the roof vent option as well, but before going that route, he offered to try his auger. He removed the J trap and waste arm — something I hadn’t been able to do — and within minutes, he cleared the clog. We ran water for 15 minutes to ensure no backup. While waiting, he cleaned the area, repacked his tools. He also replaced a worn wall gasket before reinstalling the entire P trap assembly.
Now came the moment of truth, the bill — and I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable it was.
I’m writing this review to recognize Teo V’s skill, persistence, and professionalism. He saved me from unnecessary work and expensive guesses. Excellent service at a fair price.

Alton was our plumber. He was very professional and knowledgeable… keep in mind this was a Sunday afternoon… he responded quickly and efficiently expedited repairs. I would use the company again and recommend to friends and family… and you of course!!!

Very happy with our service. The estimator went out of his way to provide the best solution and price. Work started when promised and our house was back to normal in a few hours. Workers were very polite and cleaned up the work area before they left.

A week ago, I posted a bathroom faucet replacement project, United HVAC was among the first to respond, the first to give me a fair price, and the easiest to work with. They followed up with appointment reminders. Alton is a great plumber, he came exactly in time, did a quick wonderful job installing the new faucet, tightened handles on another bathroom faucet by my request, was courteous and communicable. I received an email invoice, confirming my payment and explaining the (quite generous) warranty terms. I highly recommend United HVAC.

Not that I want to need a plumber, but when I do, it’s nice to know I can call United plumbing’s service personnel. Nice folks. They know what they are doing. Consistently good results. We had a water heater failure. United sent a technician to assess the water heater within a 2-hour window. Then they helped us schedule a same-day replacement installation. They also provided tips on how to help the new water heater last longer.

United HVAC & Plumbing’s technicians were professional and good communicators. They came when scheduled and diagnosed our plumbing issues quickly and thoroughly. The team worked quietly, quickly, and cleanly to replace a long kitchen drain and a leaking toilet. Both repairs are working well and are improvements in the previous conditions. (We have an old house and it has seen many fixes over the years.) I would definitely hire United HVAC and Plumbing again for any needed repairs!
