My water heater was broken over the weekend, called them on Monday and the responsive hotline sent Bella over for a free inspection; decided to replace the 11 years old GE 38 gallon one with a Bradford White 50 gallon one despite 40 gallon one would be $100 cheaper; they sent Oscar and his partner over later that day, took approximately 2.5 hours to fully install it and haul away the old one, working nicely so far (2 days) with no leak; they left a sticker on the heater that says annual inspection is covered within the 6 years of warranty, I'm not sure would that really be free but we'll see. Anyway, good quality work done, will return if I have other plumbing problems.

I asked United Plumbing to deal with two problems. They were able to come out promptly and fixed our garbage disposal quickly. However, the plumber was remarkably unhelpful with my second request: finding the cause of salty water from our taps which occurs intermittently, and is likely due to a problem with our water softener.

TL;DR: If you need to replace a natural gas water heater with a modern hybrid heat-pump water heater call United Plumbing ASAP.

My 17 year old natural gas water heater began leaking approximately 8 months ago. When I decided I could no longer put off replacing it I contacted a local competitor to United Plumbing whose vehicles I had seen in my neighborhood. That company provided a quote that was absurd. The main problem being that they proposed a hybrid heat-pump water heater that only required a 120V 15A circuit while simultaneously proposing the installation of a 240V 30A circuit. Also, their price for that circuit, and the water heater, was absurd. They also seemed to have zero knowledge of the rebates for replacing a natural gas water heater with a modern hybrid heat-pump water heater. So I declined their services.

I then contacted United Plumbing. Their representative was more familiar with the available rebates than I was (a good sign) and provided an initial estimate, whether or not I used their preferred electrician, that was far more reasonable than the estimated cost from their competitor who I contacted first.

The company that rewired my home, including installing a modern 200 amp panel in 2008, provided an estimate for a 240V 30A circuit that was unreasonable. So I told United Plumbing I would like to proceed with their allied electrician since their price was far more reasonable.

I am extremely happy with the United Plumbing recommended electrician and their water heater installer. Both teams did a great job. The United Plumbing water heater installer was especially impressive. They recognized they could readily tap into the nearby existing condensate drain of my HVAC system rather than creating a new route to the exterior of my garage for the condensate from the water heater heat-pump. They instead put the cost of routing the heat-pump condensate into routing the pressure overflow output to the exterior of the garage. And they did so in manner that is top notch -- including relevant tie downs and caulking of the hole drilled for the pressure overflow.

A quick estimate for AC replacement with a competitive price. The work started and finished on the same day. The crew was very professional and cleaned up all mess after. We blasted the AC during the recent heat wave. The difference from the old one is like a night and day. Thank you for the great work!

Had a clogged drain. Technician Nick came in within an hour and snaked it quickly. Also fixed the p-trap - there was some leakage there. Clean, courteous, quick. Thank you United Plumbing!

We have used United plumbing a couple times, today for a clogged garbage disposal. Dan was on time, friendly and explained the problem and options to me. Scheduling is very easy as they are very responsive to texts.

Tim and the team at United Plumbing have been a godsend. Having bought and old house with original pipes, the United plumbing team has been so incredibly professional and responsive to issues when they come up. The are incredibly knowledgeable and have a high expectation of excellence (when I problem was unfixable in an appointment, they charged me nothing for it because they beleive they shouldn’t if they can’t fix it). I would highly recommend them for everything from emergency plumbing issues to big renovations.

United plumbing was able to send someone the same day to fix a kitchen sink clog. They provided an estimate ahead of time, where other places fail to, and stuck to it. Yaro did a great job with the unclogging. He was courteous and cleaned up any mess caused whilst performing the unclogging. I do recommend their services.

Alexander from United plumbing came and did a great job. Quick diagnosis, on the spot quick repairs, fair pricing. The office is very responsive to our needs. They even called our insurance agent to coordinate with the claims. What can we ask for more?

My kitchen under sink p trap collapsed and leaked all over. I needed a fix urgently. United plumbing and water heater gave me an appointment very quickly, came on time, clearly explained the problem and how they are going to fix it. They fixed it and the job was well done. It has been two weeks now and there is no leak.

I'm glad I decided to go with United Pluming & Water Heaters for fixing my kitchen sink! They showed up the same day, despite it being late. Most of the plumbers I contacted couldn't show up until the next day or two. They were professional, friendly and very good at what they do. My plumbing is better than ever because of their work!

I had a water backflow issue in my kitchen sink on the 2nd floor when I use water on the 3rd floor. I got response from United Plumbing very quickly. Beck came to my home and did a great job in debugging the issue and cleaning the plumbing. The whole work took about 2 hours and the price is quite reasonable. Now the issue has been resolved. I am very satisfied with his service. Overall I had a great experience and will ask for United Plumbing's help again in the future.

Had a possible water leak and contacted United Plumbing. They were able to come for an inspection within a couple hours. This involved gowning up to enter crawl space for confirmation that no leak was occurring. Very professional service, no unreasonable fees, and also took time to observe and quote for another minor job.

We needed some sewer piping replacement at our home in Sunnyvale. The United Plumbing crew assessed the extent of the problems with the old steel pipes within the under-crawl. They wrote up a very reasonable proposal. The work was completed in a timely manner and the crew additionally resolved a few other problems, all with a very minimal disturbance of the walls and floor of the house. The cost of the work was very reasonable. Overall we were very pleased with the outcome.

United Plumbing is reliable. They responded quickly, and the technician who came was polite and skilful. I am very happy with their job.

I will hire them for any plumbing issues in the future. I highly recommend United Plumbing.

Definitely recommend to my colleagues and friends. Workers are very courteous and cooperative. They go out of their way to meet your expectations. Detail work and clean. If I ever need anything to do with plumbing I’ll definitely call them again just a downside is a little pricey but if you want to get the job done right they’re the right guys for you!

I and my husband Valeri are very happy with work, that was done for us this morning. Technician Beck from United Plumbers replaced our old sink and faucet, and also fixed main water shut out. Everything was done very professionally and fast. Beck was very friendly and attentive, and prices were reasonable

Good quality work, but not the cheapest.

They changed 3 toilet fill valves (with 3 new fill valves) + 3 flapper gaskets for $330 in labor + parts (all 3 for another $50). I had another quote for $300 from another plumber to do the same. Went with United because they responded quickly and came the same day (in a few hours).

What was *not* cheap: I also had a sink leak - for this they were NOT able to provide a quote beforehand like they did for the fill valves above. Once they took a look, they quoted me $300 *just to fix the sink leak* (determined to be a drain leak not a faucet leak). When I gasped at $300, they “discounted” it to $200.

So overall today I spent
$330 (three toilets) +$200 (sink) for labor
$50 for parts
= $580 Total for 3 toilets and 1 sink.

The plumber who came was pleasant, came on time, had good communication and did his job quickly and quietly.

I’d use them again / would recommend them but *only for jobs where you can get a quote in advance from them*.

When our kitchen flooded in the middle of the night because rats chewed holes in our dishwasher water line, I was so relieved when United Plumbing responded to me early the next morning and was able to come out before 9 am. They diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly (the same day) and were very affordable! I was very impressed by their reliability, affordability, professionalism, and fast response time. We will be using United Plumbing for our future plumbing needs!

I highly recommend United Plumbing. I needed to add a gas pipe to my gas range in the kitchen. Their team helped me completed the job with city permit approved. Very clean nice and professional job!

5. They finished my gas pipeline addition project professionally and nicely patched the opening and adding fixtures to stabilize the pipe.

6.City Permit process was completed within 1 week after job is done. United Plumbing helped me with clear instructions of the steps to get it inspected.
