Appliance Repair reviews in Torrance, California

Very good service. The technical is going above his duty, make sure we get the right part, and able to provide us the quickly installation so we can use the refrigerator as soon as possible. Excellent craftsmanship and attitude.

Mr. Barry was excellent! Thank you so much!

Enrique was awesome! Extremely thorough and professional, he went above and beyond to repair our problem left by the last technician. He definitely restored our confidence in your company. We wish all of your techs were this good.

Jose Lorenzo and Wendell were very good, competent, polite, and tidy service providers. They dealt with a number of frustrating issues, but followed through to the very best of their abilities. Any frustrations experienced on our part were in no way the fault of these two service providers. I would request Jose Lorenzo, again, in a heartbeat! Jose is as good as they get!
I will add, between these two, very good providers, we had to deal with a third member that reported between Wendell and Jose Lorenzo, and who I would do everything in my power to avoid. He was cocky, disparaged other technicians, and was generally unpleasant. After replacing one part, he discovered that we needed a new control panel, as well. After ordering the part he packed up to leave, leaving our washing machine disassembled with pieces left helter skelter. My husband and I spent a good 20 minutes recovering screws and trying to pull all the various pieces in one, somewhat tidy, location. If I realized he was my next service provider, I would work very hard to request he not be assigned to my case. I wish I knew his name but he never introduced himself.
The caveat to this review is, while two out of the three technicians that helped with our problem we're excellent, the overall experience with Sear's home service was less than ideal. We went nearly 7 weeks and five separate tech visits before they managed to order the correct parts and have them delivered in a timely fashion. Trying to navigate the system is an adventure. While the offshore customer service agents are polite, there is NO way to speak with someone in the U.S. I requested to have a U.S. supervisor contact me. The offshore agent assured me that my request would be answered. I never received a follow-up call from anyone, on or offshore. All service dates were generated through AI, and the only time I was ever able to deal directly with anyone in the states was with the technicians that came to work on the problem. Sears might want to take a look into this, it might help explain the loss of their customer base. -
This so called home service is a total fraud. I've been paying but can't get anyone to come to my home and provide me with that service that I'm paying for. I have argued, cussed, and totally lost my temper on many occasions trying to get a repairman to my home. I am told that the bid is out and no one is responding to the bid. But that doesn't help with solving the problem. I was even advised to find my own repairman to complete the job they are being paid for. When I queationed this and my reimbursement for finding a repairman, I met with no answers by them. I did find someone to complete the job. It took one hour and I happily paid him to accomplish the job. I've worked hard for my money over the years. I purchased this agreement to lessen the possibility of a large appliance failure or replacement cost. Now I'm faced for paying on my own and paying for Sears. Talk about a scam. I can't be the only one going through this. So customer service, if you're reading my complaint, let's see what you can do about this....

The first repair man never showed up and never called so I had to use a sick day to reschedule for the next day. I was quoted about $600 to repair my dryer. I decided that was too much. My dad found the part I needed on Amazon for $8 and installed it himself! So I’m not too happy with sears right now.

Jose was great! But, this problem was created by another Sears technician who serviced our ice maker 10 days ago. Jose said that because it was a recall, we owed nothing. Read Jose’s note on the work order. Worse, the problem is not permanently solved. I had to reposition the rail spring 2 hours after Jose left our house. Moreover, this appointment was supposed to have been on January 3 (yesterday) but your tech Enrique called to say he didn’t think he could make the appointment window. In short, Sears service deserves the one star rating given.

Jesus is very knowledgeable . He finish is job late already . He did a great job and works very well .

Morise was calm, courteous, and professional. He did a great job of communicating before and during the service which he completed in excellent time.
The Sears phone service was phenomenally poor and I’d love to see the call quality improve. -
I had to take time off of work to be available, yet my technician did not show up in window, but I was scheduled for later. Still never showed past 6. I cancelled my AM plans, and he never showed up in the 8-1 window. Then we have an appointment. The teens were home. The man fixed the dryer! (Yeah!, but he did not replace the broken lint collector.) This creates a fire hazard so I would like him to follow up with the replacement parts.
We called and he ordered the needed parts and now our dryer is in working order!
It was a process but I am grateful to have our dryer working again. He did a nice job in the end and came as scheduled and confirmed.
We like having Sears Home Service! -
Our technician was awesome! Finally 1 (out of all 5!) that knows what he’s doing!!!
This entire process took 4, YES FOUR, MONTHS! Technician GREAT! Everyone else I’ve dealt with needs to be TRAINED OR FIRED! Again, TECHNICIAN THAT CAME TODAY & FIXED WAS AWESOME! -
Excellent service, but scheduling needs to be more precise. Tech came at te very end of a four-hour window, wasting time I needed fo another apartment. Two-hour window would be better use of my time.

Today I had a Sears tech come out to fix my washer on 4/30/25 because it was leaking when it rinse. So the tech, Jose Ramos came to my house & talked to my husband and told him the problem and proceeded to order parts and said he couldn’t because my warranty was expired, which it’s not. So he documented that he was unable to get in the unit and reach anybody after he just talked to my husband. Lies and more lies he just didn’t want to do the job I guess. So I have to reschedule someone to come and fix my washer.

The technician Martin was amazing!! Very knowledgeable regarding the repair of our washing machine. Sears sent a previous technician out 5 days before and he was mediocre to say the least. I’m being kind by not mentioning his name. Martin made up for the previous blunders. Thanks Martin for your expertise and professionalism.

Wendell was very professional and courteous. I appreciated his promptness as well.

The technician contacted me prior to his arrival to verify the information regarding the repair. Upon his arrival he quickly explained the work to be done and costs. He quickly went to work and was done in less than half an hour, as expected. He was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. He and the service he provided are well deserving of 5 stars.

Very pleasant and kind tech. Showed up on time and was able to fix my dryer! He even checked on what I had paid and confirmed I will be receiving a $25 credit! Love Sears because everything was so easy to get done!

Barry was great. Explained everything suggested a warranty totally professional. Great service.

He said it would take 5 minutes and he was correct! Fast!

I am totally upset with your service. This all started 4-5. I have been rescheduled 11 or 12 times. I had the part on 5-9, but it was bent. They rescheduled me for 5-12. I was concerned that I might not have the part by today, they assured me that the tech would be bringing it with him. Today when the tech arrived I asked him if he had the part, he said “no, that it would be shipped to me. I am really upset! When is the part to arrive? When will a tech be back?????

It took way too long. I could never contact Sears. They never answered or called me back and the automated system always said i had no active repair order. I could get no info and no communication
