I want to leave a 5 star rating for Arturo Rodriguez. He had perfect customer service and did a great job for an estimation of the work to be done. His manager was also very understanding and didn’t charge me the service fee that I was never informed the first time in called for an appointment. I want to leave a 2 star rating for the company as they not only delayed my apt. by two hours but I had to call twice to get someone to show up. Overall everyone I spoke with had good customer service but there was serious miscommunication as to someone being scheduled for the appointment.

My experience with Mr Rooter started on a Saturday morning with water gushing out of the water meter hookup. I called the Oxnard Water Company first and they responded very quickly, but the issue was with my plumbing not the city’s. So I called Mr. Rooter, Jonnie and Tony came to the house in less than a half hour, inspected the site, gave me an estimate and fixed the problem. However, I also had a leak under the kitchen floor. This issue would be harder to resolve. But Jonnie and Tony worked with me to fix the leak and get all the plumbing working again. Expert work. I could tell right away I was in good hands. I really want to thank Jonnie and his team for working so hard to fix the leak. I highly recommend them for any plumbing job you might have.

Miguel did a good job installing it, but then trying to get the correct invoice from them to get my promised rebate from the gas company has been a nightmare. I’ve called several times to speak to the owner/manager Miguel and he never returns my calls. Very unprofessional.
Look elsewhere for reliable plumbers!

What they advertise and what shows up regarding free estimate and free camera inspection are not what ends up being charged. Johnny showed up did the classic bait and switch. What was advertised as a drain clean special turned into a $676 job that didn’t fix it (way over market value) Johnny told I would have to pay again. After I complained, The staff then tried to fix it, but second visit with a different plumber (Amos) showed a different issue (grease) and a new estimate for a different service of $2700 to fix issue. I would highly suggest you try a different business that doesn’t use bait and switch and stands by their work and estimates. I lost $676 and my plumbing is still clogged.

Ruben and Amo unclogged my washer drain today. They even went above and beyond the already discounted price by getting up on my roof and inspecting my vent above my laundry room. They were respectful of my property and just overall good guys. If I ever need any plumbing needs I will for sure call Mr Rooter and ask for these two technicians to return. Great experience

Almo did a great job in assessing the situation and advising me as to the status of our plumbing system. He was later joined by his supervisor, Tony Talamantes, who was also quite knowledgeable and helpful. They made me aware of the costs of the alternatives without pressuring me to spend money until I had considered the situation and checked with our home insurer. I was very happy with the Mr. Rooter service, which I became aware of after receiving an unsolicited email introducing me to the company. I was impressed with Almo and Tony and will use Mr. Rooter in the future.

These people are the worst crooked company I’ve ever dealt with. I had a toilet leaking and the shut off valve not working. I am very understanding of Plumbing so when I called them and told them it was the tank to bowl gasket and the shut off, they knew I knew what I was talking about, but I couldn’t see myself, they told me the bolts were arrested and they couldn’t get them off and the toilet was very old and needed to be replaced. Shut off valve was straightforward to charge me $1100 to do that I was flying in the next day so I decided to wait when I got there. The bolts were noted and came off easily so I replaced the gasket and the valve took no more than 30 minutes when I called to speak with the owner. I said he wasn’t there and no response ever was made the supervisor. Tony is nothing but a liar and his technician, Amos all agreed that this toilet had to be replaced I would definitely not recommend any of anyone else getting ripped off by this company or they’re lying employees

Ruben Muñoz was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous.
He took care of my clogged toilet in just a few minutes.
Another company came previously and said that they needed to take the toilet out to fix it and it was going to cost $390
I only paid $49.95 with an special offer they had on their site.

They handled a difficult problem and did a great job. Johnnie went the extra mile and was able to handle unforeseen issues that cropped up. Both he and Salvador created a good working team and ended the job leaving the site like nothing had been done. Kudos to all including estimator, Tony.

First visit to address a failed water heater was timely and thorough, with costs right in line with competitors. Amos Lira did a follow-up visit after suggesting some long overdue work, with the same solid service. Their financing plans are straightforward (with all due caveats about borrowing upon borrowing). We'll be calling them for our next project.

I had Mr. Rooter come out to service a water heater they had installed 3 years ago because it was no longer working. They said it was sediment build up and charged me $750 to flush, which didn't solve the issue (side note, $750 to flush is highway robbery). They indicated a new water heater was needed since the flush didn't work, but were unable/unwilling to help me with warranty claims. So I called another reputable plumber who came out and said it was certainly not sediment build up causing the issue and that I had been ripped off. The reputable plumber was able to handle my warranty claim and replace the water heater for less than the cost of a flush service by Mr. Rooter. Long story short, I got taken to the cleaners by Mr. Rooter and I suggest avoiding them at all cost.

Whole house was backed up. Amos did a great job. Friendly and quick to get job done. Very helpful with recommendations to prevent further issues. They will also come the following day to do a camera view to check on health of my drain pipes for no additional charge.

We had a late night plumbing emergency.So we contacted Mr Rooter Plumbing of Ventura County.
They sent out a Mr Vinney Alvarez who was prompt,polite,experienced and solved a difficult problem.
Upon reflection we felt that Vinney was initially trying to sell us products and interventions that were expensive and which we did not need.This is obviously company policy.
We only needed a blockage to be removed.
Once that blockage was removed we were satisfied. The price in the end was fair.
I would recommend that customers avoid paying for goods and services that they do not need.

Jonnie’s determination paid off! The toilet put up a fight but finally succumbed to Jonnie’s expertise and fortitude. Thank you so much, Jonnie, I’m extremely grateful!

Amo was excellent installing our Kitchen Faucet. He was very polite, efficient and very neat!!! My husband and I definitely give Amo with Mr Rooter Plumbing 5 stars!!!!! We began experiencing slow draining toilets and drains on a weekend with a house full of visitors during a trying time for our family. Amo, Miguel, Salvador, and Chava did a wonderful job getting us back functioning and then performing the right repair on a 63 house with deteriorating drains. They performed a trenchless pipe replacement and the diagnosis was spot on given the state of the pipe they replaced. They installed two clear out access points and replaced a concrete section of our patio that they needed to dig up as well. Miguel kept us informed during the entire process and explained the work as it progressed. They left the property in an exceptionally clean state and we couldn’t appreciate their work and craftsmanship and sensitivity more. We highly recommend.

Andy from Mr. Rooter came out the mid evening the day after Thanksgiving here in Thousand Oaks. He was very courteous, professional and solved the emergency of the kitchen sink backing up in a multi-unit building. Clearly explained what was happening. Very efficient, great communication. Saved the day!
