Mario and his boys and the rest of his crew did a great job building our home. There were many obstacles that had to be overcome with the City of Fountain and they handled that well. I will continue to use them for future projects that we might have.

We had an appointment with Anchored Construction, and they never did show up or call to change it or cancel. It really cannot be any shock to companies like this that they are so small, barely able to keep the doors open. Go to work, keep your word and you might be able to make some money. Nothing like taking off of work, and getting screwed in the process, waiting for a company that will not show. DO NOT USE THESE DIRTBAGS.

We tried using Anchor Construction for a couple of home projects. We wanted to put a cover over our outdoor kitchen and replace a wood window well with stone. We have had flags marking lines for two years. They finally showed up and did the window well this Spring. We promptly got a bill - which we paid immediately. Other than that, we haven't seen hide nor hair of these jokers. To make matters worse, the widow well was done poorly. Supposedly landscape fabric was put behind the stone, but the amount of sediment filling the window well exposes that lie.

I don't know if Mario was responding to my initial post or if he was just that backed up with work. It's hard to know. About a week after my post, he contacted me with some urgency to fix the window well issues. He was courteous and cautious about getting permission but within 3 days, the stone window well was replaced with a galvanized steel well. This solved all the problems.

I would still caution that Anchor Construction works according to its schedule, not yours. That's not unusual with landscape companies, but our experience of the bulk of our work not getting done for 2 years should be a caution.

Anchored's excellant performance pouring a 42 x 42 slab, a 16 x 10 patio, a 20 x 6 drive extension and the replacement of a damaged sidewalk lead us to contract with them for general construction. A crooked remodeling contractor had brutalized our home ( unsupported and undersized beams, shoddy plumbing, live wires left in walls, etc) and Mario's crew came in and fixed everything to our immense gratitude. Anchored Construction is a very highly recommended family business that we will always call first for future projects like landscaping.

This Family Business Just Rocks! Recently I purchased a Townhouse in Colorado Springs that needed serious renovation.

We started with the ground floor which I requested completion prior to my move in date. This included new flooring, renovating the ground level bathroom and painting. This was all completed in the time requested.

Phase 2 was to knock out walls, rebuild the Master Bathroom/Bedroom (including a custom closet) with a Jet Tub.

Mr. Maestas and his 3 Sons managed this expertly, with every attention to detail. There were Plumbers, electricians, dry wall experts, closet framers and designers required to complete my many requests. At every stage a quality inspection was completed with my participation.

What I think is particularly awesome was the way the project was managed and the quality of the results. The tile was coordinated very professionally with DHL Flooring (Lisa Palmer) and both the ground and the upstairs are beautiful.

It is with great appreciation to Anchored Construction and all the Staff that assisted in making my new home uniquely mine!

We highly recommend Anchored Construction, a local family-owned business. Mario Maestas, his staff and crews provided us with superior work.

We have used Anchored Construction for a few years including construction and landscaping. We were very pleased in all areas. Here is a sampling pf projects: retaining walls; enlarged patio which included concrete and stone work; front yard sitting area; backyard walkway; design, purchase and planting of trees and shrubs. Notable are railings which top retaining walls and patio and porch side rails, an innovative metal and wood design which preceded those that are popular now. Knowledge, expertise, reliable, cost effective, friendly only begin to describe Anchored Construction. All work was completed on time due to organized job management and hardworking crew members. Thanks to all of you!

PHTF has been using the multi faceted components of Anchored Construction Inc satisfactorily for over three years. We couldn't be more pleased with everything they have done for us; installing new windows, solar window protection, painting and light construction when needed. We also use them for the most industrious and thorough snow removal anywhere, and of course they take great care of our landscaping. But I truly am impressed with the courteous, respectful and accommodating employees of this wonderful company. I fully recommend any and all of the services they offer.
    Sincerely,
    Dolores Malocsay,

    A Wonderful Experience!!!

My boyfriend and I are in our 50's. We had been looking for a landscaper/contractor from March 2020 unti August, when we heard an add for a family owned company called Anchored Construction. We checked them out on BBB, saw good scores, and decided to take a chance. I scheduled an appointment with owner Mario, and from that first meeting, I had a really good feeling that we could work well together. Even though they offer design services, I had a specific vision of what I wanted, and Mario and his crews were certainly up to the task.
Not only were they able to bring my vision to reality, they did so to perfection. I was truly impressed.
The nice thing about Anchored Construction, is that they treat their clients like family, as if your job would be as important as their own. They are dedicated to getting it right, and with sincereity. They listen, and strive to deliver. Our project included dry wall, painting, stair construction, a patio, zero scaping, a dry creek bed that looks like a real creek, bed building and boulders. Needless to say, they will be in charge of our next project which begins June 2021. I could have written something shorter, but that would not have given you the information you needed to make an informed decision. Hire this company, you will be so happy you did.

My wife and I were delighted with Mario and his team's work. They regraded our whole backyard and then worked with us to design how the yard would look. When we had notes or questions, Mario was more than happy to discuss. He made changes to the design as the work was happening which improved the functionality of the yard. Our yard is now beautifully xeriscaped with a spot for a fire pit and plenty of space for my wife to garden. It's exactly what we wanted.

Anchored Construction is organized, communicative, punctual, and professional. Their quote was inline with other highly regarded professionals in the area.

Once again, Anchored Construction exceeded all expectations! They repaired our patio in an area where the pavers had been pushed up in some spots by tree roots and sunk in other spots from poor drainage. They came up with fantastic solutions to help prevent the problem from happening again. Their work is meticulous and professional. The crew is talented, skilled, and polite. As a bonus - they're always smiling and laughing! Such a treat! It must be a result of getting treated well. We've had Mario do several projects for us over the years - I think we were one of his first customers when he started his business. We're never disappointed! We'll call them again when we need their services and highly recommend them!

As a subcontractor that installs life safety systems I would think that such a established company would care for the workers more than they do. It's not an oversight or a mistake. They purposely cut corners to save money on safety and sanitary equipment. Just out of a worldwide pandemic and they don't provide sanitary equipment for the workers or wash stations to protect ourselves. Bottom line means more to this company than taking care of the workers that make them successful. Absolutely do not recommend this company. If you are a subcontractor take notes and call OSHA when needed.

Tony Gordon builds a very good looking house. His office personal are outstanding. However, His word cannot be trusted.

We saw his ad for a house in Florence, Colorado. My son inspected the homes going up and was complimentary of their quality.

I called Tony Gordon and he called me back. After a brief, but friendly conversation, Mr. Gordon said he felt I would fit in the neighborhood nicely and said "I will build you that house on the north side of the street". ("That house" being the one in the Ad). I was ecstatic and thanked him for making my day and immediately called my realtor.

Then things went south. I was informed, through his realtor, that they would not, under any circumstances, build me a house on the north side. Although requested, no reason was ever given.

Then I was told I could only have a choice of 2 lots on the south side. (Even though there were any more available) Liking the home we acquiesced to a south side lot.

Then we were told we could not have the elevation in the ad. There were 3 choices of elevations, but we could only have elevation "A". Again we acquiesced.

Then came the "even thought it is in the ad...that is an upgrade. And no we can't (won't) put in a sprinkler water stub". Also," the brick you saw in the Ad will now be stucco".

Then the next door neighbor had very severe plumbing problems (Black water back up), which she claimed the builder wouldn't address.

All this after I had put down earnest money and signed a contract.

After the initial phone call I was never able to talk to Mr. Gordon again. I assume he knew he had breached a promise and was too cowardly to accept my call (nor call me back)

I was able to contact some of the neighbors my wife and I had looked forward to knowing after completion of our house. There were not many (count zero) compliments of Tony Gordon. So, not sure how others rated him as they did.

Beware of promises made by Mr. Tony Gordon or his realtor. A real shame as he designs and builds a very nice home.

The 2 stars i gave Gordon Construction were only because his office personnel, Peggy and Gina, are so nice and his construction supervisor was so good (one of the best I've seen).

Signed, a very disappointed potential buyer.
