Our experience with this construction company was amazing — and it’s all thanks to Matt Hafer, the foreman. He’s the reason everything went so smoothly and turned out so well.

Working on an older home brought a few unexpected challenges with the siding and windows, but Matt handled every surprise with professionalism and skill. He kept us informed, found smart solutions, and made sure the job was done right — not just quickly.

The final results were worth every penny. The craftsmanship and attention to detail added real value to our home, and we couldn’t be happier. Matt truly went above and beyond, and he’s the reason we’d recommend this company to anyone.

We knew when we bought this house that it would need some work, but it seems like every stone we turn over reveals two more that need to be dealt with. Luckily Scott at Krueger believed in our vision for the house, gave great feedback and recommendations, and hooked us up with an excellent project manager in Josh. Our rickety back deck was replaced, all our ill-fitting windows and doors have been replaced, and the aging and moldy siding on the house removed and replaced with stucco. In the middle of our projects, that windstorm hit Colorado Springs and took out our fence. Scott came back and helped us plan a new fence that would work with our over-all vision for our home and be sturdy enough for years to come.

All of the various crews who’ve worked on the place have been pleasant and responsive, and it’s been lovely to witness the great camaraderie they share - despite working in every kind of weather possible. The deck is beautiful, the windows and doors look good and (even better) keep the house quieter and more thermally stable. The stucco looks great and the neighbors agree the house looks better than it has in years (we don’t have any “after” pics yet, oops!)

Josh and his teams also coordinated with our interior contractor so that the impact to our daily lives could be kept to the minimum possible disruption. Their agile problem solving when unexpected difficulties with the house or the property or the supplies came up is something we really appreciate.

Scott, Josh, Joe, Jeff, Trent, Aaron, Trevor, Fabian, Candy, Edwin, and Brett have been a pleasure to work with. We’re hoping we don’t need any more projects for awhile, but when we do, we will call Krueger Brothers, and we enthusiastically recommend that you do, too!

I am so pleased with my experience with Krueger brothers construction! I had a difficult project in a tight space for a deck around our swim spa. I needed to have built-in seating on top as well. Krueger brothers exceeded my expectation in every way. The project is just stunning! I literally could not be happier . I've attached pictures to this review so you can see the awesomeness. I need to shout out some people at Krueger brothers for their excellent work: Curtis in sales that started this whole project off. Candy, Jason, Fabian, Chase, Ronnie, Armond, Jon Strong, and Sean all did the amazing work building this deck. Aaron on the design team amazing. Keri and Miguel in accounting for working all the financial stuff. If I could give Krueger brothers a 500 star review I would. This project was just a concept at first and they made it into this incredible reality. I recommend Kruger brothers for any project you have.

Michael and his team were very personal, knowledgeable, and prompt in responding. Pricing was competitive and complete. All work, including new siding, replacing 3 doors and a large front window was completed as proposed with his team of professionals executing. Did not have to oversee any of the operation as his PM Chris, ensured everything was coordinated and installed properly. Great job Krueger Bros.

Just hanging out with my dogs on my beautiful new back deck thanks to Krueger Brothers! Aaron, Chase, Ryan, Santos and the rest of the Krueger Team have been awesome to work with. The guys were super efficient, communicative and professional from initial demo to final cleanup. Did I mention they’re building my front deck too? I cannot wait to see and enjoy the final product! Highly recommend; these guys have been worth every penny!

We had Krueger Brothers remove an old original deck on the front of the house and design and rebuild with Timber Tech. This was a big job. We enjoyed our planning and consultation with Matt Krueger who worked with us virtually since we had work out of town. Thank you for taking the time to do that, Matt. Project Manager Josh was excellent and very easy to communicate with. This is someone who truly takes pride in the work being done and is a skilled professional who ensured a high quality final outcome. Josh miraculously found some of our original siding which doesn’t exist anymore to finish an exposed portion under the deck. Again, going above and beyond to make this beautiful. Josh, we really appreciate you. There were a few surprises when ripping out the old deck and new building codes that were easily addressed and solved by this team. James, Erin, Cande and Brian were all friendly and professional and worked diligently on this project. They are very good at what they do and care about the finished product. We did not set any time limits on this project, we just wanted it done right. Krueger Brothers did it right and with a great deal of integrity and we would highly recommend them to anyone needing an excellent contractor. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Update – November 2025:
After posting my initial review, Krueger Brothers reached out right away and handled the ceiling repair quickly and professionally. The work was done beautifully, and I’m very happy with the result. I just wish it hadn’t taken over a year—and my original review—to get it resolved. That said, I truly appreciate that they ultimately stood behind their work and made things right.

Krueger Brothers Construction replaced our roof (September 2024), and after the first major rainfall, we had a leak in our living room. We called the next day, and they sent someone out promptly. The technician went up on the roof, found that the metal trim (fascia) around the chimney had been pulled away, and said he straightened it and secured it back against the chimney. After that repair, the leak stopped.

A couple of weeks later, the owner came out—presumably to assess the interior damage. After looking inside, he went up on the roof and said the only issue he could see was some missing grout between a few of the chimney bricks. Of course, there was nothing wrong at that point because his technician had already corrected the actual problem and stopped the leak. The owner said he would seal the missing grout, but mentioned he could only reach partway up the chimney—so if that truly had been the issue, it still wouldn’t have been fully fixed. He told us to wait two weeks, and if there were no more leaks, they would return to repair the interior damage.

When my husband called to schedule that repair, the receptionist told us the owner had said the leak was caused by the chimney grout and therefore wasn’t their responsibility—so they would not be repairing the interior.

The fact is, the leak stopped after their first technician fixed the trim around the chimney, which clearly shows the problem was related to their installation, not the chimney. This easily could have been a 4- or 5-star review if they had simply stood behind their work. We understand that things can happen, but when they do, a company should take responsibility and make it right. Instead, the owner chose to deny responsibility and misrepresent the situation. That kind of dishonesty turned what started as a small issue into a one-star experience.

I would give a 6th star if I could. Demetrius has an incredible work ethic and superior professional attitude. My wife and I are so happy with the shed he constructed for us in our back yard. The quality of work he does is nothing short of top notch. I would highly recommend him to anyone for next home project or commercial project. You will not be disapointed!

I had Square 1 Construction Limited rebuild my deck with new railing. The attention to detail was excellent and the price was fair. The job turned out beautiful.

Square 1 Construction and Demetrius did an incredible job for me when I bought a new house and needed to rip up old carpet and have the hard wood floors underneath refinished. Demetrius was extremely responsive, considerate about my timeline, and did an excellent job navigating my old house and some of its peculiarities! My floors were done in time for my move, which was a quick timeline. They still look great. Demetrius has a craftsman's skills but has worked on a variety of project so he strikes the balance between attention to detail and addressing the big-picture priorities. Highly recommend!!!

Demetrius with Square One Construction Built a detached 3-car garage with an ADU above it for me in 2024 in Central Colorado Springs. Basically a small house with a large garage. Loved him and the work he did. Looking forward to future projects with Square 1 Construction.
