Sales was great. I was able to lock in a price and schedule furnace and AC installation for the Monday after. Installation was efficient and the techs were friendly. They completed the work in a day. I would use them again.

We had another company doing the maintenance on our AC compressor because we thought it was what was best since it was the same company from the previous homeowner. Unfortunately, the compressor went out and that company wanted an outrageous amount of money to test and refill my unit with refrigerant. I brought Comfort by Design in for a second opinion and I felt like that one visit had me more informed and much more confident in my decisions re: the compressor.
John was able to come in within a few days and replace my unit - just in time for a warm weekend!
My overall experience with the company was great, easy scheduling, easy service and easy payment options. We signed up for the comfort club to take care of this new compressor and I look forward to future engagements with the company.

Had a consult, very good one. Then estimates. Then scheduled installment. All within a week. Now I was really impressed with the whole process. The installers were friendly as well as the electricians. Now, this house has never had AC, but that has changes. It is quiet, comfortable, and has changed the dynamics of this home. I have spread the word about Comfort Care, but I did see the truck around the corner from me the next day. Way to go guys!

John, Steven, and Tony were outstanding. They did a whole home humidifier and water softener install for my wife and I. When challenges arose, John scheduled a follow on appointment in the spot then he and Steven were at my home bright and early on a Monday to complete the work. Great customer service and the install looks great!!

My furnace went out of course on the days we were going to be in the single digits, I called Comfort by design they helped me secure financing, and sent out Danielle Haley and Jeremy Witty to install a new furnace and thermostat. They are an amazing team, their attention to detail and knowledgeable of the product was amazing. They took their time to explain to me what they had done and how it worked. They even cleaned up the entire area they worked in. If you’re looking for a company to help you with heating or cooling this is the company to call I couldn’t have picked a better company to make sure my family had heat and installed it properly to make sure we were safe. I’ve had Comfort by Design upgrade my furnace, AC, tankless water heater, and hot water circulation system over the past few months. Finding a trustworthy HVAC provider can be stressful. All their employees are on time, professional, and extremely friendly. The prices are best in town. They follow up to ensure everything went well and they’re very responsive to any request big or small. Highly recommend. My neighbors have also been been very impressed.

Reasonable price, knowledgeable installers, good workmanship, completed on schedule. I am very happy the mini-split installation in my house and highly recommend Comfort By Design.

My husband and I just bought our first home and it did not have any Air Conditioning. Jesse came out on his day off and gave us a quote for the Unit and Installation. He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the different kinds of units we could purchase. They were quick to fit us into the schedule and get us some AC!
Jeremy came out to do the install, he was punctual, professional, and an all around great guy. He worked incredibly hard and once he was done he answered all our questions we had during our walkthrough. We decided to join their Comfort Club for year round Unit Care and maintenance. We are incredibly pleased with the service provided!! Five stars all around!!

The service Technician sent out to my house was friendly, knowledgeable and did a complete diagnosis of my a.c system. The Technician gave me a couple options as to repairing & or replacing my system. Both I might add at a very reasonable cost. I will definitely be calling them again as needed 🙂.

We asked Comfort by Design to give us an estimate on replacing a 17-year-old, 2 zone HVAC system consisting of 2 furnaces and 2 air conditioners. Scott was extremely thorough in laying out all the options, explaining furnace and air conditioner efficiencies, and the pros and cons of various equipment configurations. He obviously cares about his customers and configuring the best system for their needs and budget.
Installation took several days in hot, dirty conditions in the attic, basement, and outside. The installation team of Jeremy, Mike, and Jessie did a fantastic job. It wasn’t a simple installation, and they did their best to keep disruptions to a minimum. When finished, Jeremy performed a complete walk-through, explaining the final steps needed for some electrical work and the inspection.
Overall, we are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Comfort by Design.

We needed help running new gas lines to the kitchen and laundry room of a recently purchased home. Kevin and the team at Comfort by Design smashed the work with such professionalism and quality that even the city inspectors were praising them to me. I look forward to working with them again! Had a few issues getting the water heater back up and running...but overall very happy with the work.

Thought I would edit my review. I've had the new HVAC system for not quite a year and a half. It's been outstanding. Even lowered my utility bill compared to years past. Had a service tech come out a couple of times to take care of a couple of minor things that I was concerned about and it was handled professionally and not even an issue.
I still highly recommend comfort by design!

Just got a new furnace and central air conditioning installed in my 1982 tri-level home. Comfort by design was referred to me by my neighbor who used them a couple years ago. All I can say is my experience with comfort by design was excellent! The process started with Jesse going over all my options for the type of equipment I would need. And then the experience only got better from there. The service people were so friendly and professional it was a great experience overall. Two weeks ago, I met with Scott Bryant from Comfort By Design and he invested a large amount of time looking at my current system and helping me decide what I needed to do to resolve my issues. I had called because the HVAC system in the house which was 21 years old had failed and I was looking to replace the entire system. He walked me through all my options, costs, and spent a significant amount of time explaining the differences between systems. Scott was extremely helpful and did not make me feel any pressure to make a decision. After a bit of internal discussion, we decided to go with the option that Comfort By Design had suggested.
Less than two weeks later and the team is here installing the system. The team doing the install. Anthony and Jeremy have been working here at my location all day and Jon and Joe joined than for part of the day. They are very professional and explained the entire process to me ahead of time. They removed all the old equipment, and everything was pretty much perfect when they left. They did have to cut a few holes in the ceiling to route an exhaust vent, so people are scheduled to come back and repair that. Once everything was done Jeremy walked me through the new system and I probably asked more questions than he wanted but he patiently answered every one.
The system is installed, the install area is clean, and I am able to use my AC again. I’m anxious to see how my new 98% efficient heater works in the fall as well. Thanks a ton, to Comfort By Design for making this an easy and quick process. You guys are the best.

Update 05162024:

John came out on Monday to do my AC checkup on the system. What a great guy. He took the time to check things out and make sure that things were ready to go for the season. He found one possible issue with a Startup Capacitor a little out of spec that isn't causing any problems at the moment, but we need to keep an eye on it. Awesome customer service. These folks really care and I appreciate their help.

Update 07022025:

I recently sold this house and as part of the sale I asked Comfort By Design to inspect and service the HVAC unit. It was great to have someone I trusted to do this work as we have already left the home and we're not there to inspect the work. They provided before and after pictures and that helped me see what was done. Thanks guys for your awesome service. I wish you existed in Rochester, MN to help with what might need to be done on the new home.

If you are looking for an extremely honest, family owned business that won't rip you off, 'Comfort by Design' it! John the owner is awesome to work with and won't try to sell you something that you don't need and the company is military friendly.

Have used Comfort By Design for multiple repair and installation projects … they’ve always provided excellent service at a fair price … would highly recommend them for any HVAC needs.

John runs an absolutely fantastic business. It’s nice to know that there’s still very hardworking family-run groups like this out there. John’s approach is very knowledgeable. He and his staff are also very approachable and willing to help yeah the basics to somebody like me looking to learn for DIY purposes 😅. They were able to shuffle a busy schedule around to get mini splits installed much quicker than I expected. Would be a pleasure to work with them again! Thank you all..!

We have an boiler/underfloor heating system. It acted up while I was traveling for business, and their tech did a great job of not only fixing the issue, but also explaining to my wife and daughter what had happened and what he was doing to fix it.

Not cheap, but seems to have done an excellent job.

Steven and install crew just finished with new furnace and AC system and a terrific experience. They were courteous, professional, extremely competent, and a joy to work with. Salesperson Jesse gave the best all around price of 5 bids and very flexible on a few unique needs I had. Supervisor Joe, was there on a few quirks and really understood the complexity of the system and warranties. Overall, I can't recommend this company more strongly. Good to know that in these days of misrepresentation and poor service, there a company with such high standards and honest dealing.
