McGrath Carpentry was professional,
communicated well, prices are proper , did what they said they would do, and they are skilled at what they do. Kieran and the crew were nice and easy people to deal with as well. We are very happy with our deck.

We hired McGrath Carpentry to demolish an old deck and build a brand new one and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the initial conversation with Kieran (the owner), there was always great communication from the whole entire crew. Kieran came out within a few days of calling for a quote… and just a few days later we signed the contract. They began the work in 10 days after waiting for the permits. He told us they’ll be able to start once they have that and he stuck to his word, they were at our house the next day. They made sure things were built/placed where we wanted them to be before installing. It was a pretty big project that they were able to have completed in under a week (weather played some factor or I’m sure it would have been done sooner). The guys worked from the time they arrived, until it was time to go with barely any stoppage in between. They were sure to pick up their mess when the project was done, you would never know they were even there. Very professional. I highly recommend them and will recommend them to everyone we know.

I hired McGrath Carpentry to build a custom design (that a chose) portico railing above our front entrance of our 1920 Georgian Colonial home. Kieran and his team (Ken and Eric), built it out of a quality cedar wood ( I’m a historical purist - No plastic allowed ! Lol). They constructed it perfectly to my design, showing their skill and experience in woodworking.Their work ethic was smooth and steady from start to finish and often had me “come see” during the process, to ensure I was happy.
Thank you so much Kieran and your team Ken and Eric on your excellent craftsmanship. You made it possible to restore our home to its former glory!

Kieran promptly arrived to give me an estimate on re-doing my deck. He and his crew showed up daily, on time and knocked out the job. The crew was very polite and kind and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. My wife and I are extremely happy with the deck and how beautiful it turned out. Highly recommend Mcgrath Carpentry for you construction needs.

Late on my review but Kieran and his crew did a phenomenal job and quickly built us a new deck that always get compliments by guests. They were extremely professional, punctual and communicative. From start to finish the job took less than a week and Kieran was open to consulting on design changes and options throughout the process. We will be using (and recommending) McGrath Carpentry for future projects.

Cannot say enough good things about Kieren and team! This is our third construction project since last summer and I was going to go with the company we previously used, but decided to get a few estimates, just because. We stumbled upon McGrath Carpentry with a google search. Kieren came to the house later that day, we had our estimate within a week, and work started a few days later. It all seemed too good to be true! Our project was tearing out our old porch and rebuilding it with vinyl. I beyond happy with the finished project and have already recommended them to others. The team was on time everyday, worked a full day, was neat and respectful, and did not damage or trample any of my gardens. They used quality materials at a very fair price. Two and a half days later I have a beautiful brand new porch that I could not be happier with! Thank you Kieren and your whole team and I look forward to working with you again in the future!

Had a great experience with Kieran and his crew. The new deck and stairs are great! Nice workmanship and he provided everything for the permit and our HOA to get approvals. They did a nice job along each step and the deck to miter the edges and cover the composite board unfinished ends. The black powder coated rails are sturdy and nicely installed as well.

Kieran McGrath and his crew of very experienced carpenters did an outstanding job of tearing down and rebuilding our old deck and screened in patio area. They showed up every day, worked hard and were very courteous and professional. We worked together and changed some details as the project progressed which ended up in an even better overall look. Kieran stuck to his original estimate, finished in a timely manner and I would strongly recommend McGrath Carpentry for any home project!

I called this place to get an estimate on a new fence and someone was supposed to call back but, never did!

Great job on the deck just not careful when moving furniture and items from the deck. Had crashed flower pots and putting shook spilled out in yard.

DRS Installed our split rail fence a few years ago and did an amazing job. The fence is still holding up and looks great!

Deck looks great. Work area cleaned everyday. Great communication and receptive to changes. Would highly recommend them!

I have a house under contract to purchase. During the inspection an issue came up where possible lack of deck flashing was causing a water issue in the basement. Greg Peters came out to give an estimate under extremely tight timelines.

I really appreciate the fact that DRS made the time to meet my inspection period, but Greg gave me an honest opinion and estimate. I will look to DRS for any future deck/fencing needs.

Our new deck looks great. It was done really fast once the permits were approve. Customer service was wonderful and the price beat the other companies I looked at.

There was an accident where my car got some sealant blown onto it from next door to my work. When I noticed the sealant on my car I gave the company a call (it was after work hours so I didn't expect anyone to pick up) and left them a voicemail. First thing the next day(on a Sunday) I received a call from the owner. He met with me later that day and cleaned up my windows and offered to pay for a full detail of my car. Accidents happen, but this companies response was beyond professional. I'll definitely be in touch if I ever need deck/fence services.

They came and looked at my request when I was not home. A week later I received an estimate in the mail but I needed to make changes to what they had sent. I called them and they made the changes over the phone and gave me a new estimate. Their estimate was about ½ of other estimates I had received. They came out and did an excellent job including the changes I had made over the phone. When they were finished the job site was totally cleaned up. I would highly recommend this company.

I had them clean my siding, my deck, and seal my deck. They also washed my fence. Wow! All looked almost new again. I though the price was fair and the service was great. Every time I contacted them, I got a return call the same day. I will definately do business with them again.

After comparing to five different companies quotes and questions response time, we chose DRS for our deck replacement project. They are not the cheapest one but they are the most responsive one. The crews complete the project with high quality in time and willing to give suggestions based on their experience and expertise. Thanks!

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Deck and Fence Renewal Systems, and I feel compelled to share my negative encounter to warn others about their unprofessionalism and lack of respect for customers. From start to finish, their service was riddled with incompetence and disregard for basic courtesy.

To begin with, I contacted Deck and Fence Renewal Systems two weeks ago to request an estimate for deck restoration. During our initial conversation, they assured me that they would call back to schedule the estimate and would also provide a courtesy call before their arrival. However, they failed to follow through on both counts.

Today, a man named Greg from the company unexpectedly showed up at my property without any prior notice. Instead of apologizing for the lack of communication, he rudely insinuated that my "mom" had called and given permission for his unannounced visit. This assumption was not only unfounded but also highly inappropriate, as I live with my wife and it is absolutely irrelevant to the situation.

When I expressed my frustration and asked why they did not adhere to their promise of calling ahead, Greg displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. He dismissively told me to "get over myself," displaying a complete disregard for customer service and common courtesy. Such an arrogant and disrespectful response is completely unacceptable and indicative of the poor quality of service provided by Deck and Fence Renewal Systems.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise against considering this company for any deck or fence restoration needs. Their unprofessional behavior, failure to communicate effectively, and disrespectful treatment of customers are clear indicators of their lack of commitment to providing satisfactory service. Save yourself the trouble and frustration by seeking assistance elsewhere.

Deck and Fence Renewal Systems has proven themselves to be a company that values neither professionalism nor customer satisfaction. Their actions have left me deeply disappointed and frustrated, and I sincerely hope that others will take heed of my negative encounter before considering their services.

I conducted an extensive search on deck cleaning, resurfacing and staining before I choose this company. DSR was so quick to call me back and had an estimator at my house within 48 hours. They were polite and professional . they explained the differences between the stain products they offer and I got to choose what quality of product I needed to give me less maintenance. I was so surprised how smoothly everything went. I kept this property as a rental and I needed high quality appearance. I have been able to increase my rent and it looks so beautiful. so happy with this company I had to run my mouth!

Deck Renewal Systems did a fabulous job resurfacing, as well as repairing and rebuilding the underlying structure, of our composite deck. Very easy to work with, excellent range of products, plus they found a fantastic deal on our selected finish. Result is a gorgeous walkout deck and we highly recommend.
