I was very pleased with Straight Up Solar. I used them for an initial panel installation and then again to add more panels. They were very easy and responsive to work with. Any problems that cropped up were dealt with quickly and always fixed the problem. I would very much recommend them to anyone.

These guys ROCK! They are true solar professionals who know this stuff inside and out. I would highly recommend them especially if you go with a battery backup system which gets much more complicated. I went with an Enphase 19kw system with 20KW of Enphase batteries. The Straightup Solar team made it all happen without any issues. Their service team is top notch especially Tom the service manager and Chuck one of their product experts. Thanks guys. I look forward to working with you in the future on expansions of our system also.

We got our first electric bill yesterday after having our 6.5 kW solar array installed for a month. Our bill was for $71. Prior to that we paid $154 every month (budget billing)! As for StraightUp Solar, the installation went great, we barely knew they were even here, and they were real good about answering all my questions - and there were a lot!

We wanted to power our home with clean solar energy, so we began talking with Shannon Fulton of StraightUp Solar. She took the time to answer all our questions, and we went through quite a few different scenarios, each with pros/cons, before deciding to spread the solar panels over 5 different roof surfaces on the south side of our home. This was not an easy installation, but every member of the team worked together, and in the end it worked beautifully. As soon as they flipped the switch, our monthly electric bill went to the $18 minimum monthly service charge. We are now in the shortest days of the year, so may have to pay a bit more than that, but so far the system has worked perfectly, and we are very happy to be generating clean energy and paying very low electric bills.

I sought out Straight Up Solar for our commercial solar array based on their history and full service process taking us to activation and beyond. Being in business since the early days of solar in MO and over 2800 installations gave me confidence in their track record. From start to finish, the communication and professionalism was top notch. It looks great, functions as billed, and I am a very pleased customer!

Very impressed with the StraightUp Solar support team. After 9 years of operation, the inverter stopped providing performance data. I reached out to StraightUp Solar to see what could be done. Within the day I was contacted by a Support Specialist and a Service Project Manager. Erin (the Service Project Manager) was super helpful providing me with a process to recycle the inverter while she contacted the manufacturer for additional assistance. The recycle process cured my problem and things were back to normal that same day. After fixing my problem Erin worked to get my system connected to the manufacturer's on-line monitoring system. This is normally set up during the solar install process but I didn't have internet service at the time of my install. Erin was extremely helpful and patient in dealing with my unique situation, and within a day or two she had the monitoring system established. A huge thank you to Erin for taking the initiative to not only solve my problem but to take the extra interest in my unique situation to make my system a little better.

I can't say enough good things about our sales consultant, Steve Sommers, we had a terrific experience planning out the project. Their partner, Mid-America Electric did an excellent job updating our breaker box ahead of the install and the installation crew was friendly and professional over the two day installation.

It's been great to know we are offsetting a significant percentage of our home and EV's consumption. The short-term/long-term loan package is a nice alternative to paying for the array upfront. If you have the means to do so, this is a great way to take a stand against against climate change.

From start to finish this company has been great! Drew was my first representative, he answered all my crazy questions. Then my project was passed to my project manager, Bill, who kept me informed when my project would start and with any questions that came along the way. The H.O.G.S team was awesome! They worked great as a team and were courteous and informative. Overall, I'm very satisfied!

I highly recommend the StraightUp Solar team for your solar project! The team that installed my system was by far the most professional, most knowledgeable, and most courteous, I’ve dealt with on any project in 20-years as a home owner.

I talked in detail to five different installers before deciding to go with the StraightUp Solar. There were companies that had more competitive prices, however I felt the quality, experience, and knowledge level wasn’t the same. StraightUp Solar answered all my questions and provided a better understanding of solar power as a whole. The other companies I talked to did not fully understand Illinois’ Solar Renewable Energy Credits process. StraightUp Solar was not only knowledgeable, but filed the necessary paperwork on my behalf. The entire team were courteous, respectful and took care while working in our brand-new home. I highly recommend StraightUp Solar! I have zero regrets and believe the extra cost was well worth having the peace of mind that comes from a high-quality installation backed by an incredible, dedicated company.

My Enphase gateway would not connect since 2 November. Enphase sent me a replacement gateway card and I contacted StraightUp Solar for the install. They scheduled me in a few days and Mick showed up on time. He not only installed the new gateway card very quickly, but he also noticed some wiring errors inside the combiner box. I appreciated his work and attention to detail to get my system back online. Thanks.

Straight Up Solar has been terrific. They took over local service from the company I "inherited" when I bought my home with solar panels. They replaced the monitor board when it died. Later, when I reported receiving low production notices they:
1. Did a deep diagnostic.
2. Informed me there was warranty coverage on my system and told me the company to contact to access it.
3. I got 4 new microconverters, completely covered!
4. When I asked for an estimate on installation, they said they would bill the warranty holder to bill them for that too!
5. Showed up on time and did a great job.
6. TRIMMED BACK BRANCHES OBSTRUCTING THE SOLAR PANELS - AS A COURTESY!!!
7. Followed up with an explanation of services and a note that such courtesies are usually beyond their scope and I should get regular tree service - useful info.

We’re so glad we made the switch to solar—and StraightUp Solar made it easy every step of the way. Everyone we worked with was super friendly and happy to answer all our questions (and I had quite a few!). The install went great, and they didn’t just disappear afterward—they followed up and have been keeping an eye on things with the monitoring. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We recently decided to take the solar plunge, being 70+ years old we knew we’d never recover the cost of the investment even with the current incentives available in Illinois. For us, the prime motivation was Energy Independence/Security. After contacting five solar companies we chose Straight Up Solar (SUS) what struck us was their no-pressure presentation by Mr Dixon and ensuring all our concerns and needs were addressed on the spot. We got down into the weeds with in-depth discussions of the equipment being suggested and any options. After discussing system performance and our needs we opted to oversize the PV system (scaled to cover 125% of our annual average consumption) as Phase 1. Phase 2 in 12 to 18 months when we’ll add whole house battery backup. The extra capacity will support the batteries. SUS was easy to work with and has a great reputation in IL/MO. They worked with me revising our system many times and once we had a design that met all our needs both today and into the future, we selected them. Once the project was about to start Mr Melton was assigned as our Project Manager and was instrumental in pulling this all together while entertaining our last-minute changes and myriad of questions to make last-minute changes to our system design. That ensured a successful project. The SUS team did everything, all we needed to do was provide info as requested and sit back. Their installation team came from Mid-America Electric and Eric, Steve, and David were detail-orientated craftsmen. I show off their handy work to all my neighbors. Seeing their electrical work both inside and outside our home is a pleasure. Neighbors have commented on how good it looks and were initially concerned about what the end project would look like based on their past experiences. I joked they should have autographed one of the junction boxes they installed. In addition, they were never too busy to answer our questions and show us exactly what they were doing. Drilling holes, making complex electrical connections, and climbing all over a new house are stressful, they eased our concerns. Their work passed all the required inspections without a single issue or question. Liam from Straight Up Solar was the on-site supervisor and was a pleasure to work with and we felt comfortable leaving our home in his hands. Our system was commissioned on Sept 20th, and to our surprise we received our Permission to Operate (PTO) Certificate the very next day from AMERENIP. That has to be a record. We did have an issue post-commissioning with incorrect Consumption data production being reported via the Enphase app. Liam stepped in when the issue was identified made two visits to correct the issue and even continued to monitor our system that evening remotely to confirm all was well. That is customer service above and beyond any expectation.

In conclusion, the entire process from Straight Up Solar exceeded all of our expectations. It's been a pleasure working with this team. We've enjoyed getting to know all of you and would be pleased to use SUS for our whole house battery backup project next year.

Straight Up Solar is clearly an elite solar company - if you want the best with a highly professional concierge team - would definitely go with Straight Up. I was extremely impressed with the company's organization, interactions, and professionalism - its clearly a top-notch operation. The coordination, planning, implementation, explanation and support are among the very best service companies. Combine that with top of the line hardware and it's a winning combination. We received 3 bids and Straight Up was competitive, so we went with them based on reputation - very glad we did. Looking good and looking forward to many years of lowering our house's energy demands and helping reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

Our original installer in 2013, closed their company. In 2019 we needed some warranty work and contacted StraightUp Solar. They immediately adopted us and have been taking great care of us ever since.

They answered my phone call and sent an email to assure me they were on the question about my issue. Which was not an issue after all. Nico was very helpful and reassuring. I've had my panels for 7 years and am very satisfied and delighted with my power bills.

Straight Up Solar removed 6 solar panels to allow roof repair and then returned to reconnect the panels. The work was done in.a timely fashion when scheduled. When they ran into a shortage of parts for a 12 year old solar system, they had to extend the timeline but gave me a $100 discount due to the delay. I mean, what company does that today? Great customer service. I will definitely use them for continued maintenance and panel cleaning.
