Half of my house went dark and I could not figure out why. After checking the circuit breakers, I decided to call in an expert. I picked Thomas Edison because of the reviews I read on Google. They were very nice on the phone and explained their process. They sent an electrician out the next morning. He showed up right on time and was ready to work. He explained their pricing and gave me a quote, which was what I expected. I agreed to the terms and gave him my credit card information and he started working. He had my electric back on and working within the hour and I paid exactly what he quoted. I would recommend TE to my friends and neighbors!

Ken responded promptly and replaced a non-functioning GFCI outlet in a matter of minutes. He also was able to perform a visual inspection of wiring in our garage to ensure it was installed safely. What impressed me most about my experience occurred a few weeks after the work was done. We needed some additional paperwork in order to complete the sale of our home that we did not initially ask for, so I called Steve in the hopes that they might be able to help. Both Steve and Ken were able to quickly provide the exact documents I needed at no additional cost. I would highly recommend this company, thank you Steve and Ken!

Of course I experienced an electrical problem on a Sunday. They were quick to respond to my initial call, set up a time, & kept me updated with technician's arrival time. Technician Jim was very courteous & professional. I am very pleased with overall service. I would contact Thomas Edison Electric again if any further work is needed. We had issues with our hard-wired smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. Our assigned electrician arrived promptly, detected the problem immediately, and agreed to return the next day since it was evening. He arrived again promptly and finished the job to our satisfaction. Thomas Edison Electric gave us a follow up call to make sure we were satisfied as well.

I called Thomas Edison Electric and Abby over the phone was super professional and very friendly. Within an hour or so, they were able to send Jim to my house to look over what I needed done and very quickly he was able to write up an estimate and explain each process step by step so I could understand what needed to be done. Very soon after, he was done his work and it looked very clean. His work is phenomenal. I will be sure to use Thomas Edison again for any future needs.

I can't tell you how well the service was because I could not get past the rates that they charge! $95.00 to walk in the door, which isn't waived or applied to the work if you choose to do it. My smoke detector (14' high on the ceiling) was chirping. I managed to replace the battery, but it continued to chirp. Thomas Edison came promptly. The service rep was genuinely nice. I was floored when he said to troubleshoot my smoke detector was an additional $189. To replace it would be an additional $400!!! The company was nice enough to waive my call, but I will not call them again. One additional note...I tried to get them to tell me the prices up front to save them a trip if the prices were not reasonable, but they could not provide me with the information.

I would highly recommend your company to anyone reading this review. I called after 8 PM. I was immediately given an appointment with a two hour arrival window and the electrician arrived early which was a great start. The problem was diagnosed quickly and resolved.

I tried reaching a few other companies prior to calling Thomas Edison electric and was unable to speak with anyone. Thank you for the excellent cleanup in the area worked in.

I inquired on a Saturday about an issue in a home I recently bought. Was blown away at how quick a technician would come out and be available to perform the work. The day of the appointment the technician walked me through everything. Explained every detail of the process, cost, and created minimal mess to my home. The technician worked hard and non stop for the entire day he was there.

At the end of the appointment, the technician recapped everything he did to correct the issue I had.

Will be using them again after my first encounter. Hard work and honesty go along way!

I was so happy I contacted Thomas Edison Electric for a few problems I was having at my new house in the Poconos. Communication is excellent with this company and the dispatcher (Scott) was able to find me an electrician who came quickly to my rescue. The technician, Randall, finished not only one, but two jobs for me on different days. If you want top-notch professional service, these are the guys. I highly recommend them.

I received excellent service from Thomas Edison Electric. I called mid-morning, and they offered to send a service person to my home that afternoon. I opted for a service visit the following morning. The person who took my reservation was polite. He explained the service charge process in detail. The electrician who came to my home, Randall, was also pleasant and polite. He explained the charges for each element of the bill, and there were no surprises. A master electrician, he clearly knew what he was doing. It didn't take long for him to make the necessary repairs. He gladly answered all my questions. I was very satisfied with the service. This is a highly professional operation, and I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

4/16/20 During a storm, I had an emergency situation. Trying to find an electrician quickly on Tuesday I called Thomas Edison Electric by luck. I had an electrician at my door within hours. I needed a full replacement of the service from home to Street. No that was not baloney, it really had to be done. Not only did the rep come to my home, estimate me but helped me when I had to call my insurance agent he helped me talk to them and explain what happened. This is Thursday they came at the time they said and worked efficiently. I have to say a issue that had me on edge, I felt very comfortable and assured with Ken and Brian here doing the work. They are awesome. Can I tell you if the rate is reasonable. No. I know that while we are waiting the final inspection. I feel like the work is quality. I really loved the guys that were here today. And thank you. Because I'm breathing a sigh of relief if we get rain again.

Thomas Edison Service tech Hector arrived at the earliest time estimated, while wearing a face mask through the entire visit, which I appreciated. - He assessed that I did indeed loosen the electrical connections while attempting to clean the ceiling light / fan earlier, but thankfully nothing more severe than that. He even helped me clean the pieces of the lighting fixture while it was disassembled to fix it (much appreciated!).
All connections were tightened and secured, and checked for any faults. I once again have light in my restroom and it's also clean!
Hector was very professional and courteous, as was the entire staff whom I spoke with at Thomas Edison Service. They followed up with me shortly after the service to make sure I was satisfied. - I'm very happy with my service and would definitely recommend them to friends and family, and will use them again if need be.

Thomas Edison saved our home!!! I was absolutely terrified of what I experienced in my home with the electricity. I thought my house was going to burn down. I was so stressed out. Then I reached out to Thomas Edison Electric, I felt the compassion from the very first conversation. They made every step after that so easy for me. Jake is the electrician that came to my home and took his time to explain to me everything that needed to be done and assured me everything would be fine, Jake took all of our stress away. Jake Arrived on time Took care of all of our issues. When he had completed the job, he took his time to explain everything he had done and asked us if we had any questions or concerns. Jake did an amazing job, as he was leaving our home I just had to thank him again and told him that he saved our lives. Thank you!!

We were in need of an emergency service call late on a Saturday (just before a holiday) at a commercial location. We had a machine that suddenly malfunctioned, and we needed a full diagnosis of the electrical components and wiring before deciding to order a new motor for a commercial machinery, and we needed this done quickly. Thomas Edison was able to accommodate us and sent a technician within a few hours.

The tech who arrived was very professional, knowledgeable, polite and respectful of our property and situation. He came prepared and tested every electrical component. He fully understood what the business owner knew and didn't repeat any of the tasks and tests that were not necessary and went right to the source of the issue. He clearly explained everything he did and did an exemplary job of breaking down how he came to his diagnosis.

Overall, it was one of the best commercial service call experience I've ever had. The service tech really knew his trade and I never, at any point, felt like I was being duped as is often the case when dealing with emergency commercial service calls.

He cleaned up the area as best as he could and prepared the wiring nicely to make it easier for us to replace the motor. This situation could have been a lot worst, but we were able to get the machine back up and running with minimal down time and Thomas Edison played a huge part in this.

Great service. We called Friday, they came Saturday and arrived at the agreed time. The technician was well groomed, polite, and took appropriate precautions. We had him replace a combo fan/light in our main bathroom and he did a great job and even cleaned everything up, even taking the empty box with his trash. He reviewed pricing before hand and although we thought a little high(of course this fan was from 1982 so thought how long ago we last had work done) we feel confident it was money well spent to know the job is done right. Would recommend and call again if we need service.

We are very happy with the work done by Thomas Edison Electric. Electrician Michael Hilbert with help from Ian updated an outlet for a new garbage disposal and replaced 16 wall outlets with tamper resistant outlets. Michael is very courteous, respectful, and friendly, and informative. He vacuumed all dust from the outlet installations. Will request Michael again for any future work needed. Highly recommend Thomas Edison Electric. We are a returning customer, and have always been happy with the company and the electricians they send.

Wow what an amazing company !! From pricing to the customer experience they definitely deserve this 5 star. We had been having issues with some circuits and we were able to get squeezed in less than 24 hours after reaching out . Michael was our Technician and he was so kind courteous and respectful. Him , my husband and I all conversed as if we already knew each other . That’s how comfortable his aura was . He came in and got straight to work on getting things fixed for us making sure we understood what was going on before and after the services . The company’s pricing was completely fair for the work done . I will definitely be storing their contact incase anything comes up in the future . I definitely recommend them .
