Mason is great! Extremely dependable and very conscientious. In my opinion, he represents the very best Pool Doctor has to offer, and is the face of the company. Happy he is on my team!! Johnny Hall

I paid for a Pool Heater to have it installed at my property a month ago, is not working properly, is not heating the pool and now Amy the "office manager" wants to charge me $200 dollars for a technician to come a check an equipment that was installed a month ago. Amy... If you can't handle pressure at work, please don't deal with customer service to treat people badly and poorly, you don't scream at the people who pays your bills and your salary!

We have been using Pool Doctor for 10 years. They have been proactive at responding to our needs when we have had issues. In the beginning they had a turnover of more than 10 techs but as soon as we pointed it out they rectified it and had Chris F. began servicing our pool who did a stellar job for years. They have moved their staff around and now we have had Evan B for a year. Evan is always prompt and keeps our pool very clean, he makes the time he has here the most for our pool as we always see him working extremely hard to maintain it. We did not think it could get cleaner as Chris had always done a great job but the care he puts into it shows. He is also very respectful of our property. We have appreciated Pool Doctor making sure we have consistent great service and Evan B. for being so professional.

Jackie has been taking care of our weekly pool servicing and doing a great job. Always professional and has a smile to share. Would give highest recommendation for her as pool technician.

After having spoke with a few companies before Pool Doctor about adding a heater with automation to my pool, I began to feel discouraged. So many companies I spoke with were impatient, unwilling to give more than just surface level details, and just didn't leave me feeling like they cared about securing my business. When I spoke with Graciela and other Pool Doctor staff for the first time, I felt like I had finally turned a corner. They were incredibly helpful, answered a ton of my questions, were extremely quick to respond, and truly were the only people I spoke with that seemed like they cared.
Thank you, Graciela, Jay, Paul, and other Pool Doctor staff, for doing such a great job from start to finish! -
We have been using Pool Doctor since we bought this house in Cape Coral. Our tech Evan has been taking care of our pool for a while now and has been going a great job. It seems to me he enjoys what he does in taking care of pools, very professional too. He makes the pool look awesome, an oasis to enjoy.

Summer has brought summer back to our house! We have what you would call a problematic pool. It is rather large, however, if it was being serviced professionally, it was a beautiful oasis. The Pool Doctor sent us Summer and she has been amazing. Thank you Summer.

We have been customers since 2018, Always have been happy. We got a new tech and my pool turned green two days later after service, I called customer service, they said they would come on Monday, they didn't show up till Thursday. Still green, we got an email saying they can clean it up for an additional $60 in chemicals... SERIOUSLY!!! Looking for a change.

Mason has been doing a great job. We just got down to our house from Canada for the winter season so I can see for myself how well it has been maintained. Plus I met mason who is a very pleasant person. I would recommend Pool Doctor to friends and neighbors.

This is my 4th pool servicer in 5 years and I could not be happier. Previous servicers have been a nightmare. I am so happy and satisfied with Pete and his quality of work. He takes care of my pool as if it was his own; taking his time to do everything thoroughly; and providing his expert advise and recommendations.

Fraud? Incompetence? Bad faith? I’m not sure — you can decide for yourself. If I could give less than one star, I would.
Here’s what happened, and you can judge : When I turned on our pool heater, the water level in my spa dropped. I knew immediately it had to be a valve that wasn’t closing properly. I checked it myself, and there is only one electric valve on the spa return line. The actuator on that valve is labeled Pentair CVA-24T, so I already knew this part needed to be replaced — and from previous experience, these actuators cost around $250.
I called The Pool Dr and explained everything upfront. They sent a technician, who confirmed exactly what I had already told them: the actuator was bad and needed to be replaced. No surprise there. I had hoped he would carry such a common part in his truck, but he didn’t. He took photos, sent them to the office, and said they would send me a quote. For this visit — which provided the exact conclusion I already knew — I was charged $165.
A bit later, I received their quote for replacing the Pentair actuator. It was a shocking $2,114.34 — on top of the $165 I had already paid. I was furious, because I know for a fact that these actuators never cost more than about $300. I even checked Amazon: the exact part is $220.
I called them and told them this quote was absolutely impossible and asked for a corrected one. What did I expect? Maybe someone calling or emailing me to apologize for the massive mistake and providing the real price. But no — no call, no email, no apology, just a new quote. This time not even for the Pentair CVA-24T, but for a Hayward actuator at $468.17 plus $195 labor.
Why a different part now? Admission of guilt? My assumption: because if they gave me a correct quote for the Pentair CVA-24T, they would have had to explain why they tried to charge me over $2,000 in the first place. In the beginning, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought it was just an error. But after receiving the second quote, I no longer believe that. To me, it looks like they tried to cover up the first outrageous quote and still overcharge me with a different part.
In the end, I hired another pool repair company and paid a total of $455 — $195 for labor and $260 for the Pentair actuator.
You can decide for yourself what to make of The Pool Dr based on this experience. -
I thought this was a solid company as they came out and gave me a free diagnostic one day. They're diagnostic came with they quote for around four hundred dollars to fix a leak at cartridge. I also bought a new filter.Just because I wanted one an additional amount. They had the audacity to come out here and do the first cleaning and try to quote me 1200.00. Yes they came out 3 times on 3 days and the cleaning guy still says im leaking from cartridge then why did they recommend the first fix.
Update they never did anything to rectify the situation, I fixed the leak myself, being a new homeowner i know nothing about pools, but the lid was the issue. Ghr previous homeowner and pool cleaners were ripping off cartridge lid and caused it to leak from near new o ring. After replacing no more astringent leak -
My wife Judy and I would like to make Pool Doctor management aware of the asset they have with Jackie Richmond. The weekly service Jackie has provided has been nothing short of outstanding. Jackie has continually provided us with the best service we have had the pleasure of experiencing during our 14 years here in Punta Gorda. People like Jackie are the backbone of a successful operation, Pool Doctor is fortunate to serve as her employer. Jackie is the reason behind our continued relationship with Pool Doctor.

Pool Doctor quoted me 130.00 per month to clean and maintain but it was everything but!😡 First they told me i had to drain my pool, $477.00 dollars! Then, first week of cleaning they said i needed a new filter, 89.00, next week they tell me i need a treatment 69.00, the next week they tell me i need a new pump! Now that was the straw that broke the camels back! For you see, my pump was replaced just a year ago! I fired them immediately after that and hired Dolphin Pool service who, when they started said my pump was fine but I had a filthy filter which pool doctor said they changed which was never changed! And as Dolphin pool service said a Filthy filter will mess up the flow of your waterfalls! Pool doctor works like a pyramid scam! Every week they’re quoting you something else from 69 dollars and up, on top of your monthly fee of 130 per month plus chemicals! Warning, STAY AWAY FROM POOL DOCTOR AT ALL COST!!!😱

Elijah serviced my pool today. Having been away when he started taking care of my pool, he introduced himself and we discussed what the situation has been with the pool. I found him to be very knowledgeable with his overall experience about swimming pools and the mechanics of my pool. I look forward to working with him.
Welcome aboard Elijah!
