Stay FAR away from this guy Justin and his company!!

This is a little long but worth the read if you are remotely considering calling this company!

I called Ball Air for duct cleaning and routine maintenance (first time trying them). Once Justin Ball himself arrived at my home, 6 Hours AFTER our scheduled time BTW, he hands me a "Ball Club" membership detail folder with a maintenance plan. So far so good. Directly after this he starts messing with my thermostat, opening my Air Handler and for some reason the electrical panel to my Outside Unit. Maybe that's routine however this whole time he is completely avoiding any mention of the "maintenance/cleaning" he was hired to do.

All of a sudden he starts trying to immediately sell me on replacing my outside unit because my heat mechanism was not activating. He conveniently "happened" to have the exact size unit he had recently obtained from another previous job and it was "only 3 years old." At this point I go from having a $250 maintenance and cleaning job to a $1200.00 estimate (parts and labor) for a replacement unit.

None of his logic made sense as to why I would need to replace an entire unit and not just the portion that was not allowing the heat to function improperly but he sure believed what he was saying. At this point he all but refused to do any of the original work we had called him for and persists to impatiently rush me to allow him to leave so he could go "back to his shop and check the unit he had". I was not buying any of this AT ALL! I called a company I had used in the past for a second opinion and wouldn't you know it? $130 Parts AND Labor to learn that Mr. Ball was in fact full of it and have the malfunctioning Contactor (Pictured) replaced.
I was lucky to be skeptical enough to dodge the either Laziness, misinformation or even dare to say outright scam of this company and it's owner.
If you do decide to call this dude, be VERY careful, watch everything they do and do not let them try to take advantage of you.

My wife and I recently purchased a new home and found out that there was a major issue not only with the initial installation of a brand-new system (including issues with electrical wiring) but also that the existing ductwork was in horrible condition. We contacted Ball Air to help us get our system up to code and get everything working like it should.

The system under our home was fairly complicated, partly do to how the original HVAC system was installed decades ago. Justin worked hard to try and get everything working as quickly as possible, ensuring that we were able to stay cool during those few hot summer days and nights as he constructed our new and improved duct system under the house.

Justin showed his commitment to providing a quality installation by keeping us updated on the work being done (including providing before and after pictures) and working outside of regular hours to get everything finished as soon as possible (this included one night working until around 10 p.m. with our permission, and coming back the first thing the next morning to finish the rest of the ductwork at around 7:00 a.m.).

In all of my dealings with Justin he seemed to be an honest, hardworking contractor that was willing to take a little extra time to ensure that the work was done the best possible way, instead of the quickest. While this might have added a little bit of extra time to the installation, I can rest easy knowing that the system is going to potentially have far less problems now and into the future than if I had worked with installers more focused on speed and cutting corners (something I learned about the hard way in the past).

Having worked with a number of different local AC contractors over the years, Justin easily stands out as one of the best, and I would easily recommend the quality of his work to any of my friends of colleagues.

I highly recommend! We had two units give out on us and Justin came out to replace them. He worked hard and got the job done. He takes great pride in his business and product and it shows. I have a nice cool house again and couldn't be happier!

Justin (the owner) came out on a Friday evening to diagnose an AC problem. This was after another AC company was a no show earlier in the day. He communicated well via text to let me know he was on the way, in traffic, etc. He took a look at our compressor and let us know it seemed we have a pretty expensive Freon leak somewhere. He explained the pros and cons of repairing this older unit vs replacement with a new one. We are waiting on his quote for a new unit now, while we also will compare to other ac providers and will proceed accordingly. I will update this review further along in the process. I really appreciate Ball AC’s responsiveness and thorough explanations of our AC issues and options.

Justin was awesome! I would highly recommend him. Not only did he correct the problem but he also cleaned the AC unit closet until it was sparkling. He was polite, friendly and reliable. We will definitely use his services again. Thank you Justin!

It’s clear this company is no longer operating. We had them come out a couple years ago and they were fair, efficient and easy. We get so excited when we discover a new “guy”: ac guy, car guy, plumber etc and we look forward to staying loyal.

Such a shame; the last three times we’ve called Ball hoping they could help us, we’re met with no response and a voicemail box that is full, despite a google listing that says “Open 24 hours.”

They need to shut down their google presence and send a message to their customers that they’ve moved on.

Anyway, it was a great company. Bummer.

Justin Ball and his team were very professional and prompt. They replaced my entire unit in one day and were up front about the cost without going over. A veteran of the Navy, we even swapped a couple sea stories. I would highly recommend him to those unfortunate souls whose ac needs repairs or replacement in the Jacksonville FL area. He also provides a maintenence service to extend the life of your air conditioning unit.

Justin Ball - was an excellent professional...a "breathe" of fresh air. He showed up at 9pm and ran some testing on the system. He found that he was able to change the battery charger on the blower. The fuse was off and he tested the system after replacing the charger.

He showed an awesome, caring attitude with us and was very friendly.

When my A.C. just wasn't getting cold, I found Ball Air Conditioning via Google and decided to call them because of their coupon for a free diagnostic. Justin was extremely knowledgable and polite over the phone. He answered any and all questions I had. He told me what time he would arrive and what time he would be calling to let me know he was on the way.

Once he diagnosed my issue it was quickly resolved. He and his assistant were quiet, I forgot they were in the house! Lol. In the end he worked a deal that saved me hundreds of dollars. I decided to take advantage of their VIP program which guarantees the company to come out twice a year to give my system a tune up. Not only was my air conditioning fixed, Its working better than it did before it malfunctioned!! The fact that he came out with short notice and took care of us within hours, I completely recommend this company! 👌🏾👌🏾👍🏾

Justin installed our ac in our new home 8 years ago and had been the sole maintainer of it since. He also maintains my Mom's old system. She had a problem a few years ago and called Schneider and they told her she would have to replace it. Not surprising. I told her to call Justin and he repaired it and it's been working great ever since. You won't be sorry with Ball Air!

Justin was a godsend! We just purchased a home on Friday, moved in on Saturday, and the AC pipes froze up. We called multiple places between Saturday night and Sunday, were promised calls back but no one did. I looked up more companies and gave Ball Heating & AC a call today (Sunday). He not only answered on our first attempt but Justin was also at our home within an hour and 1/2 tops. Moving is stressful, add moving in June and then the AC not working and it made us miserable. It was even more concerning because of my mom's asthma and how the heat affects her. But thankfully Justin fixed the issue quickly and the house is starting to cool down. My mom feels much better and we feel better too! We love supporting local business and definitely recommend Ball Heating & AC!

Excellent service and reasonable price. My AC which is 15years old started blowing hot air on Saturday. I called Ball Air on Sunday and I was with cold blowing air on Monday morning. The owner Mr. Justin came to my address and began working. He was very knowledgeable of the system, he showed me the old part that he replaced and explain to me what caused the heat. He also have a reasonable preventative plan that I will sign up for because being without air in Florida is nothing to play with. Thank youMr.Ball for your great service. We found Ball Air through two different neighbors who had recently used them to replace their central heat and air systems. Justin diagnosed our problem the same day I called and explained clearly our options. Due to the age (18 years) and recurring problems with our air handler, he advised us to replace the system. We got another larger and longer established company to give us a second estimate. Justin's estimate was around $1000. less and he matched the warranty for parts and labor. We also have the advantage of their Ball Club which includes twice yearly routine servicing and a 15% discount on any parts needed. This plan offers more than the usual maintenance plan of larger companies for less cost. We appreciate Justin's same day response to our problems and his knowledge and ability to translate it into plain language we can understand. It is important that he is prompt, professional and friendly and follows up right away when there is a problem. I have recommended this company to several friends and I'm sure we will be calling him again in the near future since we have another 18 year old system in our house!

I have used Justin @ Ball AC Inc. for about 4 yrs. He is reliable, extremely knowledgeable, and excellent at troubleshooting and finding unusual problems, like I had last year. Had it not been for Justin and his expertise, in troubleshooting, there is a possibility I could have had a fire caused by a shoddy wire job by the installing company of my unit. Wouldn't use anyone one else but Justin at Ball AC. Additionally, because of Justin's knowledge and ability to think ahead , he is able to avoid customers very costly repair jobs that could come sooner than later. Thank you, Justin, for your thoroughness, all of your explanations, and look forward to continuing to see you 2x yr. Proud to be your customer!!!

After an unpleasant experience with another company, we contacted Ball Air. Justin came by the next day and was able to get our ac cooling again. In the meantime we discussed getting our ac replaced. Ball Air gave us several options and Justin walked us through any questions we had. After a couple of days, we decided on a Trane unit and got it installed the next day. Excellent service and good quality work!

Justin and his team are very professional, always show up on time and do very good work at a reasonable price. I'm a property manager and have been using Justin's services for almost 5 years now and he has proven be be very dependable and I highly recommend him. He has also replaced the AC system in my own home without any issues. You will be very satisfied if you decide to use his services.

We texted Justin late on a Sunday, he called us within an hour to set up an appointment for the next day at noon. Our air was out & inside temp was over 90 degrees. It was cooler outside. He made it an hour early (greatly appreciated!) & the fix was way less than we had anticipated. He also gave us the correct size filter for our unit. Very professional, very efficient. We also had other contractors replacing our sliding doors. He had no issue working around them. I will recommend him to everyone. He will be the one replacing this system when it finally gives out.

Justin provided an outstandingly high quality installation of our Trane A/C system while fitting us into a very hectic schedule. He showed a phenomenal level of dedication and professionalism in every aspect of the job and I would be happy to recommend Ball Air for any A/C work

We have been using McGowan heating and air for HVAC maintenance and other items for the past four years and couldn’t be happier! Their crew has been wonderful, especially and Connor and David. They have done a great job recently with our ductwork. It looks great and works great! Also, Chris is always responsive when it comes to installations and always makes sure the job is done right and the customer is happy. Thank you !

In July, we had our AC unit replaced by Del-Air, but we would not recommend the company.

It is now the end of September and our unit is still not functioning stress-free. Our irritation for the difficulties we have had with this new install are growing ever more so with the no-show of the AC permit inspector that we waited ALL day for this past Friday. Add that to the BIG financing flubs on Delair's part; no care for our dysfunctional Ecobee thermostat (not only do clothes and towels not dry with this humidity, but our electric bill is affected by cranking the coolness down to counter the humidity in the home); lack of return communication (emails, texts, and phone calls are ignored). ...It is all making for mounting regret for having purchased our system through Delair. AND to have a 10 year warranty, with this blatant disregard for the customer's satisfaction, does not give us comfort.

DelAir sold me and installed an AC unit in July 2020. Motor Module stopped working. I've had three days without AC in this Florida heat. But today Supervisor Maxx Moss called me and said he would help me. He did, he sent me to the most polite, efficient, professional AC Technician, his name is William Maloney. I will never forget this gentleman. He not only did an excellent job, he also advised me and explained the problem in detail. Thank you DelAir for your excellent service and for having staff like William Maloney.
