Technician was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient answering my many questions.

These guys were so nice and helpful for this electrical job I needed. All of them went to great lengths to be sure I was pleased before they left my home. I will be calling on them again for any electrical needs I have on the future.

About a month ago, we were told we needed a whole new unit, in and outside. Wanted a 2nd opinion before spending $10k.
Tech's came out, earlier than expected 😁, and checked systems, handler and outside unit, and cleaned unit. And thankfully found no issues and no reason to replace. So thankful and grateful for Thompson Electric!!

I highly recommend Thompson Electric in Jacksonville, Florida! They recently installed a brand new heating and cooling HVAC system for my mother-in-law, and we couldn't be more pleased. From start to finish, their team was great to work with. They followed up afterward to ensure everything was working properly, and the owner, Fred, personally checked in to make sure we were satisfied. It's rare to find such reliable service, and we’ll definitely be using them again for any future HVAC needs!

The two elections were pleasant, professional and efficient. They were here to install an electrical box for a newly installed tankless hot water heater. While they were here I requested whether or not they could install a newly purchased ceiling fan in our gazebo, which Timothy did after quoting me a reasonable install price. The service by Timothy and Debo(sp) was exceptional. My wife and I would highly recommend Thompson Electric and Air to anyone needing electrical service.

We were struggling to find a company that would charge a mini split that we installed ourselves.
These guys didn't see a problem with it and scheduled us right away. Super friendly on the phone and in person. And the bill ended up being less than what was quoted. 5/5 would recommend

Several things were found, but I chose to not do one of them. Although the work was done well, the invoice they emailed me says I still owe them money for the one thing I chose not to do. They resent it multiple times, each time claiming it was fixed. But after getting it sent 3 times it still says I owe them for a job they didn't do. And the last time I pointed it out, they did not respond. Keeping a close eye on my card that they don't decide to charge me for it.

Excellent work, explained and labeled my upgraded electrical panel and made sure everything worked. I will called them for all my electrical work and needs.

The repair was made the same day I requested service. It was an unusually cold day in Jacksonville and the prompt response was greatly appreciated.

I am so happy I called Thompson. I didn’t know whether to call an electrician or heat pump repair for the issue I was having and they were able to evaluate both. The technician David was amazing. He came in, went straight to work and diagnosed the problem, addressed all the issues, and educated me about how to keep the system working properly. He obviously knew his stuff. The cost was very reasonable for all the work that was done! Thank you, I will definitely use your business again. Highly recommend.

Update: although my first experience with them was highly positive and for electric I think I might call them again, for AC I would not. A Part went bad on my air conditioner a few months later, ,which cost about $30 for the part itself normally,. I called them. They came out charged me. I think $89 to diagnose it, told me that it was just simply too old to repair and it would never make it through the summer. Quoted me $12,000 to replace it. But would not repair. This after telling me that it looked great just a few months before. I ended up paying someone else $160 and they quickly replaced the part and it is now December and the unit is still going strong.

About a month prior to this, they had done some electrical work for me, and did a really good job at a very fair price so that’s why I say I would probably call them again for electric.

I had the same company repaired the system previously, so I called them for help. 5 months back I paid over $500 for the repair. This time they said the trip to the site cost $89 and repair is additional. The diagnosis was to replace the motor and the cost was $2300 including diagnostic and parts cost. I said no to it but for the diagnosis I had to pay $330. Later I found another company. They repaired the motor and charged me only $75 ( trip to the site and diagnostic) Out of curiosity I checked with them for replacement cost and it was less than $1500

A/C went out. Thompson had a service technician here in an hour. The technician, David, is great. Very knowledgeable, professional, thorough, helpful and took the time to explain everything and answered all my questions!!! Top notch and 5 stars. Terrific Customer Service ❗️

They were on time and did the work faster than expected. They were courteous, polite and explained every detail involving my transfer switch. They also cleaned up after the work was done and the installation looks like it was installed when the house was built. Great local business and I highly recommend them for your electrical wants or needs.

Tim from Thompson is very professional and helpful. Our older home has presented some unusual electrical challenges and he always helps us figure things out.

We needed work to move our AC condenser unit and add additonal outlets inside our home. We received multiple estimates from other companies in town and their prices were outrageous. Thompson’s estimate was significantly better and their quality of work was excellent. They arrived on time and were very respectful. We’ll be sure to call Thompson first the next time we need Electrical or HVAC work done!
