DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! After three roof leaks in as many years on a 20-year roof, we decided we needed a new roof. I started looking into Perkins in 2022 while trying to troubleshoot my roof issues. Their Youtube Videos are informative and transparent, as you can see and understand everything they do. And their quality was great. I wanted a company who wouldn't take half the money up front and not finish the job (not too uncommon for the South Florida area). I called their team, and Josh came out and gave a thorough estimate and explanation of the whole process from Contract agreement to Completion of Work. We hired them to Re-Roof (tile to metal), add gutters, remove a screen enclosure, and repaint the house. From Contract to Completion was about six months, and Josh, Charlie, and Mauricio explained every step. Their payment installment plan is very helpful for those of us who aren't financing. It would have been a shorter job, but HOAs are HOAs, so that approval process took longer than expected (different story). Overall, we are COMPLETELY SATISFIED with Perkins quality and craftsmanship.

To start at the end-absolutely 5 star satisfied, from start to finish. Reroofing requires getting proposals and then trying to compare. Dealing with qualified responsible companies brings it down to intangibles as it is hoped that the work would meet the necessary standards. Something has to stand out and in my case from the first meeting with Josh, there was a good vibe. Professional, responsive and sincere. The Perkins reputation helped but the first impression is so important. We went with Perkins, the pricing was competitive, but the results are what counts. The process was efficient, all promises were kept and when there were some nuances, Josh was fully involved along with the job supervisor, Charlie. Communication was immediate as was the response and they just wanted us to be happy and satisfied and went above and beyond to assure this was the case. The workers were there early and the job was complete in the minimal time. No nightmares of the contractors not showing up for weeks after the start etc. Josh made to sure to contact us almost daily to update us on the process and to see if there were any concerns or questions. I could go on but no need to. For Josh, Charlie and the company, the positive reviews on Google just match our experience.

I have been trying to get a simple roof estimate for over a month and nothing. I have left multiple messages and call everyday and still nothing. The worst part about it is the secretary Maria has dropped the ball and now she forwards my calls and does not answer them, knowing it’s me calling. From one owner to another, word of mouth has built both our business over the years, but a bad review goes much further. Sorry you guys have been A+ in the past, but your customer service is an F.

Working with Josh and Perkins Roofing was a breath of fresh air compared to the roofing company I used on our other house earlier this year. Not only did they over communicate in the beginning, during and at the end, they adhered to the timeline and delivered on their promises.

Perkins replaced our roof back in early 2018; concrete flat tiles. Like any project, a few hiccups back then but minor and taken care of.

Paul is AWESOME! Recently Paul came out to look at some leaks. On time, very friendly, super knowledgeable (and most appreciated wasn’t pushing sales pitches). He spent plenty of time explaining how it should be properly fixed.
He’ll submit the report soon and I’m anticipating it will be under our warranty and all will be well again.

Perkins Construction with Joshua Kaufman provided us with highly professional teams that replaced our 20 year old leaking roof with a fantastic metal one, repainted our home, and tore down our damaged screened in porch. They helped us manage hiccups extremely well and made sure we understood each step. We are VERY happy with the outcome and our home looks brand new. We highly recommend Josh and his teams.

We just completed our 3rd project with Perkins Roofing. Again they provided a 5-star performance for the total re-roof and repair of our 100-year old, two-story Spanish home in Coral Gables. Handling a structure of this age requires a level of expertise and skill that most companies simply don’t possess, but the Perkins team was amazing from start to finish.

From my first meeting, Perkins’ professional approach was apparent. Josh and Marco were very helpful in establishing the scope of work, schedule of work, product selections and pricing options. Several systems were considered, but their knowledge and experience facilitated our final choices which also met stringent requirements of the Florida Building Code as well as Coral Gables’ Architectural and Historic Boards. Their pricing of labor and materials was very fair and reasonable for the level of service provided and the products specified. Additional costs for unforeseen conditions, deck repair, etc. were transparent and commensurate with customary local prices.

Aramis, our full-time project manager, was awesome, and the rest of the team -- Marie, Oscar, Beny, Mauricio, Ricardo, Henry and Jose -- all deserve credit for their hard work! All Perkins employees were focused on the task, put in long workdays (without noisy radios) and treated our property with the utmost care. They always cleaned up after each day’s work and left our home in the most acceptable condition possible during every phase of work.

The coordination involved in our project was seamless, with timely delivery of materials and deployment of workers as required for each phase. Despite the complexities of a two-story job with traditional full-mortar cap & pan detailing, complicated wall flashings, and unpredictable City inspections, their scheduling was precise and without surprise.

Perkins’ constant contact was remarkable, using a simple 24/7 messaging app sharing key team members’ communications instantly. We were never left wondering about the status of the project. Their responsiveness and proactive updates made a potentially stressful process incredibly smooth. They managed the permitting process, rigorous City inspections, and challenging logistics with total reliability.

Perkins’ quality of work is superior, looks great, and exceeds our expectations.

My elderly parents live in Miami and I live out of state. I was trying to find a reputable, professional roofing company to do the work (which can be difficult in S. Florida). Perkins Roofing had great reviews, and after hiring them, I could see why. From beginning to end they were very professional and straight forward. They weren’t trying to up-sell or scam me. Anytime I had a question they were quick to respond. They made my parents feel very comfortable and did a wonderful job of keeping us informed of their progress. Okay, so the good news first. They seem to be competent at making roofs. Their sales guy Josh was the only one who identified that my roof had two layers of shingles. I got a fine price up front.

Bad news: Josh promised a 2 week job once they actually started, and the roofers started the demolition May 8. It is now July 20 and they told me the roofing should finish today but no one showed up. I called in the morning around 10, asking what’s up, and they said they’d call back. I was not called back. Had to call again at 4:30. Lol. Typical. They need to remanufacture a panel that never got made in the first place and which was the wrong color round two.

During these exciting delays, the roofers left the site for weeks without preparing for it. (They told me one day they’d be back tomorrow and didn’t come back for weeks.) Large sheets of plastic blew off in the wind and rain and got all over the yard and in the pool, big sheets of plywood (heavy roofing grade plywood) ended up in the pool…

On day 2 of demolition I brought it to their attention that they’d fouled the kitchen vent fan with debris. It’s still not fixed, and now they seem to have removed the cover or something such that hot air just streams down through the vent, neutralizing my climate control. I had to tape a sheet of foil over the vent, it’s been there two weeks now.

Finally, their secretary notarizes signatures on permit applications that she did not witness being signed (nor did she witness it being attested). That’s totes illegal and I have mentioned this to the attorney general’s office.

I cannot recommend Perkins.

Perkins came out to diagnose a small leak we had in our Kitchen, and found a few other areas of concern. They were transparent about the expected life of our roof so we can plan to replace it in a few years, and gave us fair pricing on the repairs.

After we approved the repair work, their employees came out promptly and did a great job. They shared before, in progress, and after pictures along the way, which is helpful since most customers wont be going on their roofs to inspect work performed.

They painted all new fascia and soffit boards, and you can hardly tell any work was done. This is a testament to their professionalism and quality of workmanship.

Very professional, quick response, answered all my questions and did a great temporary work that was needed on my roof. Will definitely use them for full roof replacement work.

Perkins roofing helped to make an already stressful situation less of a worry. I contacted them for shingle replacement needed to keep my insurance policy active. Josh went above and beyond to ensure that I was provided with all the documents needed for the insurance. The job was completed within a week....just what I needed. Thank you

If you want the roofing job dragging for months, garbage piled for weeks in your driveway, no place to park ( because they forgot to move their dump truck), workers cursing in Spanish in front of your kids, then this is your best choice! Original contract price, multiplied by 2, as they add on charges as they go, without sending you anything to sign. Roof project started In December, finished by mid March, your uncle will do a better job ! Do they give you a discount for overpomissing and under deliver?! Ha! They broke decorative trellis, never fixed. Neighbors’s car got tar stained, we had to pay for the cleaning out of pocket. The list goes on and on.. They answer messages, but nothing will gets moving until you start complaining, why? We thought the big company will get the job done promptly, professionally-big mistake. Very sloppy tile work, too( see pictures)Go with a small guy next time, who cares more about the returning business than the corporation!

I've been a customer of this company for 3-4 years and have been more than satisfied. They replaced my roof, made repairs and done maintenance and have always been extremely responsive to my needs. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Dealing with Perkins was nice and easy. Straightforward proposal with no hidden costs, and price comparable to other offers I had at hand. This was my first experience ever where the salesperson did not disappear after the contract was signed. Throughtout my entire project, Josh provided full support, answering all of my questions. Every single day they would leave the jobsite clean, free of debris or nails, including my neighbor's side yard! Came out a second time and followed up with two second quotes based on my questions and our discussion and once we signed off work started very promptly.
