My experience with Drain King Plumbing began with a call for, what I thought was, a simple tub clog. I made my call in the evening as a non-emergency. Stephen, the owner, made arrangements for someone to arrive at my home within the hour at a non-emergency rate. You should note, this was two nights before our last hurricane and the weather was definitely changing.

*My first, “WOW!”

Mike, the Site Manager, arrived with his tools. After a brief assessment, he said he would return within the hour with more delicate tools to ensure no damage was done to my cast iron pipes.

*My 2nd, “WOW!”

Upon Mike’s return, he unfortunately realized sand was returning through the tub drain. Never a good sign. He reconvened with Stephen and the following day they returned to begin digging a trench to access the pipes from under the house. There is a river behind my home, so the water table needed to be considered. The team dug, dug, and dug. The second assessment upon getting to the pipes was something no home owner wants to hear. The pipes were corroded, rotten, and breaking to the touch. Worse, the damage extended through both of my properties. Gut punch! They cleaned up and secured the space for safety, boarding holes and marking areas with caution tape. This was the day before the hurricane.

After the storm, the team worked diligently to fit my work into a packed schedule, shifting other projects around to allow for my work to start.

Over the coming weeks, I would discover the pipes throughout my entire property were in complete disrepair. A nightmare, for certain!

I share these painstaking and hellish details to highlight the following: The Drain King team comprised of owner, Stephen; Site Manager, Mike; Team Lead, Carlos; and the numerous other men who dug, climbed, dragged, scrapped, drilled, installed, and labored through unimaginable conditions to repair, replace, restore, not only my plumbing, but my home.

The team worked with integrity, keeping me informed at every turn. Where I lacked understanding, they patiently and honestly explained. When we disagreed, they offered comfort and compromise. There were several days my family and I had to relocate to a hotel. Not once did I have concern about the team working in my home unsupervised. This was a HUGE relief, considering the plumber I used before them admitted to stealing fixtures from my home when I confronted him.

We made it through the project! Whew! The work is exceptional and everything works as it was intended to. I use my plumbing with confidence knowing I have meticulously installed PVC, flanges, toilets, etc. throughout my homes.

Here’s the executive summary! This team is amazing. They are professional, reliable, dependable, and honest. They perform with integrity, patience, cleanliness, and timelines. I never experienced this insanity before and hope to never go through it again. However, if I should ever need plumbing assistance (great or small), there is only one team I will call. I’ve already referred them and will continue to do so. If you need a sign, this is it! Get it done right, the first time!

My whole house had polybutylene pipes which are a nightmare, all insurances dropped me and after another leak and I had to get the whole house replumbed, also needed to move water heater & have new one installed. I was overwhelmed & in tears getting multiple quotes & I appreciated Stevens genuine care and nonpushy way. He did a thorough inspection of house before giving a quote, brought his plumber Casey out to make sure the plan would work, and Casey provided a temporary fix to the leak while i was deciding what to do. I felt the most comfortable with Stevens team, his pricing was reasonable and they felt the most knowledgeable & thorough to figure out this big job. Being a woman alone in the house, it can be rough having workers constantly coming & going in your personal space but Casey & his helper were very respectful & kind, and I felt comfortable with them in my house. Casey takes pride in his work & you can tell he loves what he does, so I feel good knowing that the energy going into my plumbing was done with love & care. He's very methodical, neat, professional, & on time. After starting my job he was dedicated to just my job making sure to complete it as quickly as possible considering I was living in the house and the water needed to be shut off. My tankless water heater has been working inconsistently lately. Steve came by and diagnosed it for free. He was here for a half hour and also made a few phone calls to the manufacturer of the unit as well and gave me a quote for the replacement. I'm going to monitor it for the next few weeks and then likely have him back to install the new one. Also going to have him back to diagnose a slow draining tub as he can use the camera to see under the house to see if there is any obstruction..
