Used Mike Merritt for maintenance of 3 systems and install of 2 now since we have owned our condo and we have had great service. We usually get to be first up in the scheduling, even with an emergency repair and always great service...friendly, knowledgeable and Mike the owner is the one that has usually been doing the initial repair and maintenance and the son has been brought on to do work too so it's a nice family business. Nice competitive pricing and they recognize a repeat customer. Can't complain about anything!

Mike called me after regular business hours to ask what kind of problem I had and spent close to thirty minutes trying to determine if I could fix the problem myself or wait for his services in the morning. Even though we found out that the warranty from another company may still be in effect he pressed on with helpful advice that gave me enough information to know who I would recommend to any of my friends and family members that might need his services. Thanks for your time and understanding, Mike. I wish you much success and prosperity in all you do!

We just had a new unit installed and were amazed at how professional everybody was. The estimate and amount we paid were reasonable and we are very happy with our unit. I would highly recommend Mike Merritt heating and air.

***** 8 July 2024 **** Mike Merritt to the rescue once again! We are in the middle of a lovely Fl summer and it is hot! Today we noticed the system was not cooling as well as it normally does so we called Mike. Mike was able to come out some day, in fact in under 3 hours, found a faulty start capacitor, did a courtesy drain line clean and blow out and we were back up in running! Mikes dedication to customer service is unmatched! The quick, clean, and professional service we received is hard to find these days and since 2017 we have been fortunate to be a customer of Mike Merritt Heating & Air! Highly Recommend!

So I have no issues with Mike’s quality of service or equipment install, however they do have the WORST appointment policy. I called last week and made an appointment for the following week on a Thursday. I took off work to specifically be here for the appointment. The night prior around 8pm I see I had a missed call and a voicemail from their office. In the voicemail the woman is asking if I will be around the next day for the appointment and to call back to confirm. Also in the message they don’t say, “if you don’t answer or call back we WILL CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT”!! So the morning of the appointment I call promptly at 0655 two hours prior to my SCHEDULED appointment from the week before, and I am told “sorry because you didn’t answer the phone yesterday, we have sent our crew somewhere else”?!??! WHAT kind of apply policy is this??? If anything you call the day prior to remind customers of the appointment, not a one shot opportunity to keep the appointment if they answer the phone! Totally jacked up my day!

While I was inconvenienced with the scheduling issues I described above I wanted to comment on Mikes commitment to excellent customer service.

Once Mikes team was able to come out to the house (next day) they diagnosed my airflow issue and fixed it quickly and correctly. There was some miscommunication and misunderstanding of the cost involved in the repairs, as I understood that it was going to be covered under my warranty. I later found out that it was not and the crew was expecting payment for their work. Instead of making it an issue Mike told me that he would cover the repair and thanked me for my business and continued time as a customer. Very impressed with his level of customer service and flexibility!

While we had a schedule issue, Mike and his team definitely made up for it with his continued commitment to EXCELLENT customer service.

Top notch people working for a top notch heat and air contractor. I called their office line on a Sunday afternoon, and a live person answered. She said she would call their on-call tech, Danny. Danny arrived quickly, and diagnosed and repaired my air handler, replaced my thermostat, and tested the whole system in a timely and professional manner. You can’t ask for more than that.

The Merritt team installed my current system in 2012 and it's been working great. I recently had a non-emergency problem and their tech Chris came out, checked the system, found the issue and had it corrected in short order. Chris did a thorough system check to make sure everything was running properly. The price was reasonable and Chris did a great job, as well as being extremely friendly and helpful. The Merritt team has always been solid and they will always be our go-to company for these services.

I had a new AC unit installed about a month ago after my 20-year-old unit finally gave out. From start to finish, I was really impressed with the team's professionalism and the quality of the installation. The new unit is working perfectly, and it has made a noticeable difference in comfort. I found them to be trustworthy, reliable, and easy to work with—would definitely recommend them to anyone needing HVAC services!

I called Merritt Heating and Air this morning for an AC problem. Danny arrived as promised and was finished in 1/2 hour. Excellent work and very affordable.

After 5 previous estimates for installing a new heat pump system I called Mike on Friday morning to schedule an appointment for an estimate. He returned my call immediately and we scheduled for Saturday morning. He gave us an honest and detailed quote for what we needed to upgrade our entire system. His quote was far better than any we previously received. We called him within 15 minutes of him leaving our house to schedule an install. He called back and scheduled for Monday morning. I was so surprised. He and his team showed up Monday morning and were done by noon. The job was professional and fast.
I would recommend Mike Merritt to anyone who needs a true A/C professional for an installation. They’re quality and professionalism is invest!

CONUSMER BEWARE! My Son bought a home and Merritt was hired to perform a diagnostic on the HVAC system. Tech did not log any pressure or voltage readings, find the filter had been sucked up into the coil, or log the filthy coil. Told Son to get them back out and I would be there as well. Twice now I have taken off work for a "no call no show" by Merritt.
