After getting a nearly two week run around from Asurion Home + Warranty for the repair of my broken clothes dryer and a problem with my oven, I was relieved to find J&L Appliance Repairs highly recommended on the NextDoor app. I called Juan Wednesday afternoon and by 2:45 the following afternoon both my stove and dryer were repaired. Juan is professional, friendly and hustles to get the job done. I will most definitely be calling him again in the future and I hope you will too! 😊

Juan from J&L was 1 of 3 companies I chose on Thumbtack. He messaged me within minutes. I told him what the problem was. I was very impressed, Juan came that night. My washing machine however was a nightmare, he tried replacing three parts (the first was what the diagnostic test said it was. The other two were the only other issues it could've been) for which he only charged me one part. None of the parts helped and he was able to get me a replacement washer instead. He is very fair, kind, reliable, professional and affordable. I would recommend him to anyone who needs appliance repair.

Very impressed with the personal, professional and quick service. Refrigerator stopped cooling, I called J&L based on great reviews and was NOT disappointed. Juan, the owner actually answered the phone, was able to come the same day and diagnose the problem... Compressor needs to be replaced, ouch! Good news is the compressor was covered under warranty and Juan had my refrigerator back up and working perfectly! Great communication and excellent service. J&L is now my go to appliance repair service.

Our old washing machine stopped working and after reading Juan's excellent reviews, we called him to come in to see if he could repair it. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth repairing so he advised us which kind of new machine to get so we could stack our dryer on top. 2 days later he came back and installed the new machine and put the dryer on top and it's working perfectly. Juan is so helpful and he knows what he's doing and does it very well. We now have an appliance repair professional we can trust to come in when we need assistance. Thank you Juan.

Juan was excellent. I called on a weekend when most appliance shops are closed and he promptly answered and would have come out that day or weekend but was out of town. He showed up first thing Monday morning and had the problem diagnosed super quick. He ordered the part and rescheduled to install. He was fast, efficient, and cleaned up after himself. Highly recommend if needing appliance repair. He repaired my 9 year old LG dryer.

Called for a leaking dishwasher. They were able to come out to take a look that afternoon. They would have fixed it then but I had an appointment. He was flexible and came back the next day. Great communication and very fair price. Would 100% recommend.

We had an excellent experience with JL Appliance Repair. Juan promptly connected with me and we set up a time for him to come look at our dishwasher (primary concern) and the craft ice maker in our freezer (secondary/bonus concern). Juan repaired my Thermador oven expertly. He showed up on time. Evaluate the repair sent me a quote with in hours of pricing parts, asked for approval before ordering. Kept me updated on status of parts on order. He installed and repaired and works like a brand new oven. Best part he was honest and fairly priced. I contacted Juan at J&L for a dryer repair. We have a set of LG washer & dryer that's 9 year old. Other than a washer valve, they've been very reliable up to this point.

The dryer would turn on but wouldn't tumble the barrel. The digital control panel, mode selection, and countdown for the cycle worked once started. Just no tumble action.

I gave Juan a call and he set an appointment promptly. He arrived on time and got right to it, finding the issue quickly. It was a small part but you pretty much have to take the entire dryer apart to get to it. In the schematic chain, the issue could've been one of a few things. Juan tested all the circuits and had to order the part since it wasn't in stock.

Once the part arrived, he scheduled us for the next day. The whole repair maybe took an hour.

Juan made some recommendations to give the dryer vent a little more room to avoid the part failing again. He also cleaned and vacuumed out the dryer that had some lint buildup on the heating element. If your dryer is several years old like ours is, it might be worth cleaning the internals and clearing the dryer vents to avoid any potential fire hazards.

We had an oven that would not heat up more than 350 degrees. The technician came out and correctly diagnosed the problem. The part was ordered and the repair made. Their response time was excellent and the technician was very helpful and knowledgeable and courteous.
